After all debates for which film would be India’s official entry to the Oscar Awards, it has been announced that the hounour has been bestowed on UTV Motion Picture’s Rang De Basanti, directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. With 55 per cent voting in its favour in an Indiatimes poll, against 38 per cent for Lage Rahi Munna Bhai. Rang De Basanti is india’s official entry for the best foreign film at the Oscars. That’s Good News Actually,
RDB was all in all a great movies, and it’s actually worth the oscars.
But I don’t think it will win, since it’s a tendency that Indians are nominated but never win as usual!

Thats really good news that rang de basanti is india\’s official entry for oscars. My best wishes are with the movie and specially Amir khan (God Bless Him).

That’s heartening news, a generation did indeed awaken with this one; whats more Aamir has clearly stated that there will not be any lobbying from the RDB team for the prize; lets hope Aamir gets 2nd time lucky and we win an Oscar.
