Om Puri to star in another hollywood flick titled ‘Charlie Wilson’s War‘. He is going to play the character of ex-Pakistani President Zia-Ul-Haq in the film. Om Puri’s co-star would be Tom Hanks and Julia Robert. The shooting of the film will start next month in Morocco and USA. Charlie Wilson’s War’ is a political film. It is set during the period when Afghanistan was raided by U.S.S.R. and the Americans wanted to use the aid of Pakistan to help Afghanistan get freedom from U.S.S.R. Source: Msn and Bollywood Movies

I am pretty surprised that Julia Roberts is getting all politcal! I read she is supporting raising taxes on oil. That’s gotta be a pretty unpopular opinion these days.

Om Puri is our pride. I admire his acting prowess. He deserves such assignments. I am sure these kind of roles are more satisfying to him.
