However, ask him about his plans for joining politics, and the actor tells Delhi times that he has no plans for the moment, and is not even thinking of the future. It’s very rare that you get people like Sunil Dutt saab who was so dedicated.” Now someone’s being not just politically correct.

Nodding in agreement, director JP Dutta Says, “You have to watch Abhishek Bachchan’s performance in Umrao Jaan to believe what he’s capable of. In one of the scenes, towards the end of the film he had to cry. Abhishek was so involved in the scene that not only did he cry without glycerine, he completely broke down. And he moved us all to tears.” Well, all those Abhishek Bachchan fans out there will go sob-sob at this scene too. They would even give their Jaan to see that smile on his face again. What say, gals?
We just learnt of actress Sameera Reddy’sbiggest weakness and it happens to be children. Whether it’s kids from the neighbourhood or children from orphanges, they can count on Sameera to make a difference to their lives - even if it is just to bring a smile on their faces. On the day if Diwali, Sameera spent many hours at an orphanage, and when she learnt that it just takes ten thousand rupees for one child to be fed, clothed and educated for one whole year, she took up the challenge and is actually writing personal notes to friends to contribute generously. After the roaring success of Phir Hera Pheri, Feroz Nadiadwala is putting all his energy into his new film Fool & Final, being directed by chorographer-turned-director Ahmed Khan. The other day they were shooting and the scene required Gulshan Grover to confront Shahid kapur, Ayesha Takia, Paresh Rawal and Johny Lever. Andd Gulshan Grover was so engrossed in the shooting and oblivious to everything else around him that he actually tripped and fell down. Thats was when he heard someone clapping behind him, and when he looked up he heard someone clapping behind him, and when he looked up he saw Paresh Rawal clapping. He hugged Gulshan grover and said, “Thakur, fantastic Shot!”
Not many know that Amitabh Bachchan too has a whacky sense of humour. And Big B showed it recently while releasing the music of Babul. He kept his speech short and crisp and ended it with a piece of advice to Bhushan Kumar. “The music is very good and the music director Aadesh Srivastava has done an outstanding job, and Bhushan please don’t convert the music into Bhajan track,” said Amitabh Bachchan amidst peals of laughter from everyone present.

Is it a well thought out strategy? Your guess is as god ours. But apparently Mallika Sherawat’s Decision is to cut down drastically on her quotable quotes and concenrate on her performances. The actress has got some good reviews for her last film, Pyar Ke Side Effects, and even has most of the media hungering for bytes (you just have to watch the paparazzi at an event graced by the Mallika babe to know that). If SRK is known for his wisecracks, can Salman Khan be far befind? Salman, at times, can really be as funny and humorous as the king khan himself. And recently, we were witness to one such wisecrack from Sallu during the Babul fashion show which was followed by the music of the film. When Salman Khan was called on the stage to say a few words about the film, guess what he had to say? “Please go and see Jaan-E-Mann.” Then he quickly apologised and said, “Please go and see Baghban.”Finally, he apologised once again and added, “I am sorry please see Babul. It’s rocking film.” We don’t know whether it was a goofup or done intentionally.

Salman Khan had a happy EID celebration, as his performance in his recently released Jaan-E-Mann has been talked about. But the star didn’t shy away from passing on the credit to his co-stars Akshay Kumar abd Preity Zinta. “Akshay is very good in the film,” salman was heard saying. And when asked which film he would like to see next - Umrao Jaan or Dhoom 2, guess what his reply was? “I am waiting for my next movies, Salaam-E-Ishq and Babul.”
Now when we talk of ultra profeesinal stars, how can we ever ignore Aishwarya rai and Abhishek bachchan. Apparently, while shooting with the extra-rigid Mani Rathnam for GURU, the duo had to put on kilos of weight as they are shown progressing over a span of time in the film. And towards the end they are actually supposed to look ‘roly poly’ (though we wonder how that’s possible with the svelte Ash and the brawny Abhi). Now that was the easy part. What was really not that simple was that right after Mani’s shooting schedule they had to knowk off all that excess weight for Umrao Jaan and Dhoom 2 and suddenly the trainers, the jogging suits and weights all came out. “It was tough!” informs Ash. “But to get back into shape, we just had to sweat it out in the gyms at any given opportunity. And thankfully, all the ‘tone’ and ‘form’ are back. Believe me, it’s so easy to binge and put on. But working it off…ooof!”
Saif Ali Khan might come across as a split brat but the chote nawab does have a kind heart. Just last week, the actor celebrated IFTAR with a group of security guards at his son’s karate class in Andheri. According to Delhi Times source, Saif ali was shooting at a studio when he thought of paying a surprise visit to his son Ibrahim at the latter’s karate class. He wanted to check out Ibrahim’s progress. However, when Saif arrived at the venue, to his surprise, the security guard refused to let him enter the premises. Said ali lost his cool, abused the guard, pusghed him away and went inside. After a while, Saif realised that the security guard was only doing his duty and regretted being rude ti him. So he went back to apologise to him. Meanwhile, someone had pointed out to the security guard that it was Saif Ali Khan he had been arguing with. Of course, he was taken aback when Saif came up to him and apologised. Since it was evening, the security guard asked saif to join him for Iftar and the actor readily agreed. So. the team of security guards had a memorable Iftar party with the actor for company.
Bollywood actress Payal Rohatgi used to be a teetotaller and a non smoker. But with her smoking away from her role in Corporate, Payal found herself hooked on to the cigarette. She tells Delhi times, “I picked up the habbit while shooting for corporate. Scence require retakes, you know, and I was soon habituated to it.” However, the gal has now quit amoking, “It was affecting my health really badly. And it just made sense to give it up,” she tells DT, “Also mom used to hate it that I smoked. SO now, after three months, I have given it up.”
