Actor Riteish Deshmukh has managed to make a place for himself in the film industry. However, ask him about his plans for joining politics, and the actor tells Delhi times that he has no plans for the moment, and is not even thinking of the future. And, ask him if actors make good politicians and rits is quick to say, “I don’t think so. It’s very rare that you get people like Sunil Dutt saab who was so dedicated.” Now someone’s being not just politically correct.

There’s no doubt that John Abraham is one of Bollywood’s brightest stars and he is slowly climbing up the popularity charts. But the star feels he still has long way to go. And when he’s compared with the three reigning Khans, he says he’s nowhere close to them. â€The Khans are right up there, while my number comes much below and my flop rate is higher than tha khans,†he laughs. Now that’s what we call a modest statement. Image Source: IndiaFm

Konkona Sen Sharma is an experiment expert. With films ranging from Page 3 and Mixed Doubles to Omkara and Traffic Signal – this actress has quite an interesting bouquet of films to boast of. All credit goes to her bravado in choosing and donning these roles. We heard the lady was apprehensive about playing a prostitute in Madhur Bhandarkar’s Traffic Signal, but from what we hear she’s delivered another unforgettable performance. There’s another surprise up her sleeve now. Konkona’s next is a thriller called Deadline Sirf 24 Ghante, so if you think all this gal does is bare the dark truths of life-hang on till you this one. That’s the deadline she’s giving us to change our minds. What say, Ms. Sen Sharma?

Everyone Assumes that macho men don’t cry. But our screen idols prove them wrong. If the brawny, rugged Abhishek Bachchan can shed tears(on screen) who are we to challenge anything? Nodding in agreement, director JP Dutta Says, “You have to watch Abhishek Bachchan’s performance in Umrao Jaan to believe what he’s capable of. In one of the scenes, towards the end of the film he had to cry. Abhishek was so involved in the scene that not only did he cry without glycerine, he completely broke down. And he moved us all to tears.” Well, all those Abhishek Bachchan fans out there will go sob-sob at this scene too. They would even give their Jaan to see that smile on his face again. What say, gals?

We just learnt of actress Sameera Reddy’sbiggest weakness and it happens to be children. Whether it’s kids from the neighbourhood or children from orphanges, they can count on Sameera to make a difference to their lives – even if it is just to bring a smile on their faces. On the day if Diwali, Sameera spent many hours at an orphanage, and when she learnt that it just takes ten thousand rupees for one child to be fed, clothed and educated for one whole year, she took up the challenge and is actually writing personal notes to friends to contribute generously. Sameera, we know, certainly has got a heart of gold!

After the roaring success of Phir Hera Pheri, Feroz Nadiadwala is putting all his energy into his new film Fool & Final, being directed by chorographer-turned-director Ahmed Khan. The other day they were shooting and the scene required Gulshan Grover to confront Shahid kapur, Ayesha Takia, Paresh Rawal and Johny Lever. Andd Gulshan Grover was so engrossed in the shooting and oblivious to everything else around him that he actually tripped and fell down. Thats was when he heard someone clapping behind him, and when he looked up he heard someone clapping behind him, and when he looked up he saw Paresh Rawal clapping. He hugged Gulshan grover and said, “Thakur, fantastic Shot!”

Not many know that Amitabh Bachchan too has a whacky sense of humour. And Big B showed it recently while releasing the music of Babul. He kept his speech short and crisp and ended it with a piece of advice to Bhushan Kumar. “The music is very good and the music director Aadesh Srivastava has done an outstanding job, and Bhushan please don’t convert the music into Bhajan track,” said Amitabh Bachchan amidst peals of laughter from everyone present.

Karan johar is known for his lavish and extravagant movies that are made with mega budgets, running into astounding figuers. And his films safely rake in a whole lot of moolah at the BO too. This young lad definitely understands the economies of movie making better than most other producers in the country. We were’t surprised to hear that Karan Johar has been invited to Wharton University, Philadelphia, to address an august audience on the economics of Bollywood. It’s annual economic conference., with industrialists from different parts of the world taking centerstage to vocie their economic fundas. Karan Johar is representing our very own film industry. Well, we know he is gonna make us really proud. And maybe, he could do a rapid fire round out there in typical KJ style to stun the audience. Good Idea, eh?

Is it a well thought out strategy? Your guess is as god ours. But apparently Mallika Sherawat’s Decision is to cut down drastically on her quotable quotes and concenrate on her performances. The actress has got some good reviews for her last film, Pyar Ke Side Effects, and even has most of the media hungering for bytes (you just have to watch the paparazzi at an event graced by the Mallika babe to know that). Interestingly, now her item number in Mani Ratnam’s Guru will feature her family clothed! Now, wonder what surprises she will spring next> Image Source: Mallika

If SRK is known for his wisecracks, can Salman Khan be far befind? Salman, at times, can really be as funny and humorous as the king khan himself. And recently, we were witness to one such wisecrack from Sallu during the Babul fashion show which was followed by the music of the film. When Salman Khan was called on the stage to say a few words about the film, guess what he had to say? “Please go and see Jaan-E-Mann.” Then he quickly apologised and said, “Please go and see Baghban.”Finally, he apologised once again and added, “I am sorry please see Babul. It’s rocking film.” We don’t know whether it was a goofup or done intentionally.
Promos of Babul movie has already been started over TV and Internet and here you can see some exclusive Babul Promo Photos.

Vidya Balan has already impressed us with her powerhouse performances, and Vidya Balan seems slated to touch even higher heights soon. With the promising films she is singing, there can be no other result. And perhaps her most intresting film is one with actor Ajay Devgan.
