Kareena Kapoor says, “Shahid and I are movie lovers. We watch every movie. Our seats are booked for every Friday in Fame Adlabs. We saw ‘Rang De Basanti’ in the theatre six times. The role of Siddhanta had first been offered to Shahid but he couldn’t do it due to date problems.†…… Me says, if Shahid had done that role, it would have been double mazaa for Kareena- Shahid as Siddhanta on the screen and Shahid on the nearby seat!!
Apart from working on her relations with Shahid, currently Kareena has only two films to work on- Maniratnam’s Lajo and a movie with Joya Akhtar in which her co-star is Hrithik Roshan. Kareena has an answer to this too, “I don’t want to work in routine films any more. I am excited about working with Joya Khan ‘cos this is the first time I am working with a woman director.

Director Shriram Raghavan will start work on Gaurang Doshi’s film, ‘Happy Birthday’, in March. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, John Abraham and Aishwarya Rai in a role that Preity Zinta turned down. This will be Doshi’s third venture featuring the Big B after ‘Aankhen’ and ‘Deewar’. Another heroine may join the cast to add a bit of glamour to the film. ‘Happy Birthday’ is being made on a bigger scale than his earlier films, and Doshi is expecting money to come in from corporates. We wish the team a very grand and successful ‘Happy Birthday’!!
If the Big B can do it, so can our lass from Rohtak. After Amitabh Bachchan put in a guest appearance in Kannada film ‘Amrutha Dhaare’, Mallika Sherawat is now set to sizzle down south. After much speculation about whether Sherawat will make that much-touted appearance in Kannada cinema, she finally landed in Bangalore to shoot an item number for ‘Preethi Yeke Bhoomi Melide’. Sherawat- seen gyrating last week at various Bangalore locales, including the busy Majestic bus terminal- is a choosy item girl. She reportedly insisted on hearing the song before signing the film. And she’s pricey too. The news doing the rounds is that she has charged Rs. 45 lakhs for the six-day shoot.

I am teaching Rani how to ride bikes, how to press and release clutch and other details.†Salman says that he himself had sacrificed at least ten bikes to learn the art and it wont be a big deal if Rani sacrifices some more.

Sunny Deol was highly applauded for his heavy dialogues against Pakistan in movies like ‘Border’, ‘Gadar’ and ‘Maa Tujhe Salaam’. Now, Sunny is changing courts. He is going to play the role of a Pakistani in Producer-director Amtoji Manna’s movie ‘Kafilaa’. Besides Sunny, other lead roles are played by Pakistani actresses Sana Nawaz and Monalisa.
