Cricket and Bollywood have always been a source of inspiration for each other. On one hand we have actors who are a die-hard fan of cricket. Suniel Shetty has always been known for his love for cricket. Then, we have Aftab Shivdasani and Ritesh Deshmukh who are known as the Sachin and Sehwag of Bollywood. On the other hand, we have cricketers who oft and on try their hands at acting, the leading names being Ajay Jadeja, Salil Ankola, Vinod Kambli and the likes.

Now, Bollywood is looking forward to the release of two cricket-based films during the World Cup. One is Milan Luthria’s ‘Hat Trick’ starring Kunal Kapoor and Rimi Sen and the other is Mandira Bedi’s ‘Mirabai Not Out’. In ‘Hat Trick’, Kunal Kapoor plays a struggling wicket keeper trying to get an entry in Indian cricket team and Danny plays an ex-cricket player. The other movie stars Mandira Bedi as the central protagonist. The film is all about cricket and revolves around her character. The other attractions in the film are the stars Eijaz Khan and Anupam Kher with a special appearance by Anil Kumble. The film is directed by Chandrakant Kulkarni.
