A quiet, shy girl attached to her roots and traditions – Amrita Rao in her private life is quite alike her on-screen image. The girl, who turned 26 this June 17 spent her birthday quietly by visiting Shirdi with her uncle and his family.

The gal says, “For me, being with my family and praying for what I have is far more important than looking out for a good time. But yes, I got more SMS’ and calls to wish me on this birthday than ever before, thanks to ‘Vivah’. The whole day I was busy replying to the messages and greetings.”

Amrita has just completed a Telugu film ‘Athidi’ paired opposite Namrata Shirodkar’s husband Mahesh Babu.
