The Young Dhaba owner Ashutosh from Saharanpur, UP is all set to enter into the Bollywood to give complex to well establish stars after winning the fifth season of MTV’s reality show Roadies last week. The 27 years old Ashutosh who initially failed in auditions at Lucknow and Delhi made entry into the show from Jaipur. After winning the award of Hero Honda Karizma Bike and Rs. 230, 000 he paid equal credit for victory to his fellow contestant Sonel. Sonal who is a model by profession backed him well through out the game.
He praises Sonal as, “Sonel was a dumb player but is more intelligent than most others on the show. She is my special friend and, yes, I still have to go on a date with her. Our relationship is very much on and I am really grateful to her,” And finally, he has not such plan not transform his dhaba into a swank restaurant.
Karan johar’s upcoming venture will see Shahrukh and Kajol together. Kajol, who had rejected Karan’s previous film Kabhi alvida naa kehna, has agreed to act in his new film My name is Khan. With this movie, Karan will be reuniting Bollywood’s famous jodi, SRK- Kajol who’ve given many hit films like Dilwale dulhaniya le jaenge, kuch kuch hota hai, Kabhi khushi kabhi gham in the past.
The film for which Karan Johar has already taken the rights,is going to be shot in California, and is based on a true incident that occurred in a couple’s life. In the movie, Shahrukh will play the role of a Muslim who gets detained from a flight as authorities consider him a terrorist, for, his last name is Khan.
So we’ll get to see King Khan with his lady luck Kajol again on screen!
John Abraham changed course from an actor to a singer on Wednesday, May 28, when he performed live in Bandstand, Bandra, in the Western suburb of Mumbai. The actor sang the song, Ab Hai Ujala, from his latest film, Aashayein, as the crowds cheered and girls were absolutely delighted.
“It was simply crazy. I think we underestimated John’s pull and his pursuit of excellence. I thought he’d come on stage croon a few lines, shake his hips in tight trousers, blow kisses and melt into the night. No way,” told Elahi Hiptoolah, executive producer of Aashayein.
John left the audiences spellbound after his performance, also, the director Nagesh Kukunoor joined him when audience compelled John to sing once more. “We hadn’t planned a big music launch and we certainly had no clue there was another music launch the same evening. We just wanted to do something different. So we thought of making all the singers including John perform their tracks from Aashayein live on stage. We never thought there would be such a massive turn-out, or that John would take his first live performance so seriously” she added.
Actor Aftab Shivdasani whose new movie ‘De Taali’ is set for a release seems to have worked very hard for it. Aftab who was shooting a Rajasthani folk number with Riteish Deshmukh was much talked about for his high energy levels. Faffy was so full of enthu that he worked for 72 hours continuously and showed no signs of tiredness even in 73rd hour.

Farah Khan, who is savoring the joys of being a mother, has decided to take a break from film-making this year. Farah, married to editor turned director, Shirish Kunder, gave birth to triplets in February. In her 40s, Mother of two daughters, Diva and Anya and a son Czar, she had to wait for very long to get into this role.
“Doing a film takes too much time. A whole year is needed to put it together.”says Farah.
For time being, she is enjoying her role as a judge on TV show ‘Jo jeeta wahi sikander’ and will return to movies after a year.
Just when we thought it was going going gone, Kareena has bounced back with a size one figure. Kareena who is currently shooting with Salman Khan in Australia has finally started binging on food. The hectic shooting schedules keep her busy while, lessening her workout time. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra who has signed up Kareena as the show stopper for his collection was heard saying “now that she is a size one, I have to work doubly hard to get the clothes to fit perfectly”.
The upcoming IIFA, to be held at Bangkok from June 6-8 will see Kareena shaking a leg on some hit numbers and walking the ramp for Manish. The designer who has done makeovers of many Bollywood stars will present a bridal collection at IIFA 2008. He discloses “, I am looking forward to the international Indian platform that will allow me to showcase my art. I will be using 15 female models and 5 male models. But right now, I am concentrating on Kareena.”
While Kareena will fly to Bangkok only a few hours before the show, anxious Manish is trying hard, contemplating with designs that will best accentuate Bebo’s new figure!!

Vashu Bhagnani is more than excited about his new venture which will have the rocking team of Govinda and David Dhawan along with other stars like Riteish Deshmukh, Lara Dutta, Sushmita Sen, Ranvir Shorey and Rajpal Yadav.
Talking excitedly about the film, Vashu says, “The correct selection of star cast is half battle won. I feel both Govinda and Riteish Deshmukh have excellent comic timing which will work wonders for the film.” Do Not Disturb goes on floors on June 15.

Blogging which seems to be the latest trend in Bollywood is affecting one and all. After Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan its Salman Khan who is writing blogs for Sony. Indeed, it is a publicity gimmick of his new game show on TV “Dus ka Dum’’.
Salman who is busy shooting in Australia for Prem Soni’s directorial film ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna, despite being busy, managed to write the blog from there.
Vikas Kapoor his manager says “Salman Bhai is used to working in tight schedules. He has started blogging for Sony as they requested him to write. He has just started blogging and the response is excellent. This is for the first time that he is interacting through his blog and seems he is enjoying too.”
Salman who is always associated with some or the other controversy is writing his heart out in his blogs. This is for the first time he is talking to public in detail. “All my decisions are based on my instinct and some people think that I am too moody and cynical. But believe me I have been guided by my instincts, and my heart, all my life! I do not depend too much on intelligence, analysis and calculations…” says Salman.
He feels that the show Dus ka Dum is his tribute to public who has been watching his films since 19 years and has shown him love and respect “this is not merely a show, but my Shukrana… …”, Salman admitted.
After Om Shanti Om’s petite actress Deepika Padukone, it is the Anushka Sharma, who will be seen as King Khan’s costar in “Rab ne bana di Jodi“. Like Deepika, she also hails from Bangalore. She is quite luck to have support of Aditya Chopra and SRK like as Deepika who was backed up well by SRK and Farah to get an initial break in tinsel town.
The actress from Bangalore is a model and made several appearances in many TV commercials. Pursuing graduation in economics from Bangalore, she was showstopper in Wendell Roderick’s show at Lakme Fashion week this year. “It was her beautiful expressive eyes which made me select her as my showstopper” said Roderick.
Even Yash Copra has lots of applauds for her, according to him, she fits perfect for the role, “We were looking first and foremost for someone who could truly embody the spirit of small town Punjab and we know we have found her in Anushka and while she has no previous acting experience, we have seen that unique spark in her that makes us confident that she will be a standout even opposite Shah Rukh,”
“Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi” that is scheduled for shooting from May 16 will hit theatres worldwide on Dec 12. While discussing about the film Shah Rukh said, “The first day of shooting is what gave me goose bumps like nothing else and to make films with Yash Raj, that too when Adi is directing, is an experience that is more than 100% exciting”.

The aspirations of the Australian Star Tania Zaetta’s to make headway in Bollywood received severe blow after the publication of alleged news in India’s two largest circulated dailies about her involvement in sex scandal with Australian soldiers in Afghanistan.
The news has also gained prominent focus on the face page of entertainment websites as well. The story featured on the HindustanTimes.com under title, “Who dares loses. Starlet Tania romped with troops in war zone.”
On the news published in the newspapers Zattea expressed apprehension that this could tarnish her career in Bollywood that she make after working hard for previous 10 years. She has been quite active in character roles and Bunty aur Babli and Salaam Namaste were big hits in India. In an interview, she told that her desire was to work beyond the image of an “item girl”. But there is still doubt, how Hollywood would treat this incident.
Well, we have the child of two yesteryear superstars gearing up to step into the glamour world. Talking about Shruti Hassan, daughter of Kamal Hassan and Sarika, she rocks the covers of the latest issue of ‘Verve’. The ad shows a political party campaigning for its leader on the road, while Aamir and his friends are in a tearing hurry to cross the road, and they do not want to get late for the film at any cost. Even as they cross the road, they are stopped by one of the cronies of the political leader. That’s when Aamir gets his ’salty’ elements in place and ’sweetly’ manages to cross the road and is even on time for the film!
Now, we can very well guess that this ad had been shot quite a long time back because Aamir sports a full grown hair for the ad as opposed to the current hair he is sporting for his forthcoming venture ‘Ghajini’.
The chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor is as much loved by children as by girls. Recently, during a shoot at Pune, Shahid was seen surrounded by more than 200 students who had swarmed towards him as the school bell rang for recess. The students stood there even after the recess got over. Students refused to go to their classes till Shahid spent some quality time with them.
Shahid despite of being over possessed by shooting schedule managed to get some quality time with students, he talked to them and told they shouldn’t miss their classes and study hard which student listened though, reluctantly. Thus he managed to convince them with his charismatic personality.

After Kareena Kapoor and Ayesha Takia shedding their body weight, buzz is that Om Puri has joined the bandwagon. The weight loss fad is catching on like fire in Bollywood.
Om Puri who has been visiting health clinic for the last few weeks says “I had developed a paunch. When I saw myself in Don, I realised how hideous I was looking. I’ve been working on it. I’ve already lost about nine kilos, and I intend to knock off another nine in the next few months.” On being asked about his formula he likes. “Diet mainly, but I’m also taking medical help. Five years ago I underwent a back surgery, the same one that Shah Rukh Khan did.”
But actress Bipasha Basu holds a different opinion. She seemed to be very concerned about this trend of unhealthy weight loss in Bollywood. “For god’s sake, don’t starve yourself to stay in shape. It gives you a prematurely aged look. Eat, sleep and live well. And avoid getting obsessive about losing weight.” she says.
While actor Aryan Vaid boasts “Most of them doctor their abs to make them look perfect before the camera. There’s a lot of coloring and contouring going on to make the abs look prominent on those midriffs. Very few actors have authentic six-abs. I do,”
It seems that Bollywood is walking on the foot steps of Hollywood.
61st Cannes Film Festival will see talented director Ketan Mehta, who is spearheading the new-fangled Independent Indian Filmmakers Worldwide (IIFW) initiative, promote his latest film ‘Rang Rasiya’.
The film is a period drama about the relationship between legendary painter Raja Ravi Varma and his muse played by Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen respectively. Well, judging by the brief clips of the movie shown at the Cannes party on Tuesday evening, it is a lush and sensuous film with several love scenes between the two. The party hosted by Deepa Sahi’s Maya Movies and Aanand Mahendroo’s Infinity Entertainment was attended by the director of the film Ketan Mehta and cast members Randeep Hooda, Nandana Sen and Ferena Wazier.
The film which also has an English version titled Colours of Passion, is set for release across India by June end.
Salman Khan, media’s favorite guy is once again in news for his love interest. He had affair with many actresses in his life in past like - Sangita Bijlani, Somi Ali, Aishwarya Rai, but he was never successful in a single affair that might have matured into a marriage. Repeating the reel, his relations with Katrina Kaif also seems to be on strained node.
When asked from Niraj Manchanda, the popular numerologist and tarot card reader about the stumbling love life of Salman, he made some interesting predictions. While looking at Salman’s handwriting, Niraj told that he is very egoistic and that he mixes ego with love.
Also while evaluating his numbers Niraj explained that “the number of the film scripted by Salman Khan (Veer) comes to 18 which is a disastrous number.”
Niraj, being asked about the solutions to Salman’s problems said that there was a common solution to Salman’s both professional and personal problems. “If he wants a very successful career, he should get married to Katrina soon. Marriage will bring stability in his personal life and the positive vibes brought in by Katrina will even help his professional career” says Manchanda.
