61st Cannes Film Festival will see talented director Ketan Mehta, who is spearheading the new-fangled Independent Indian Filmmakers Worldwide (IIFW) initiative, promote his latest film ‘Rang Rasiya’.
The film is a period drama about the relationship between legendary painter Raja Ravi Varma and his muse played by Randeep Hooda and Nandana Sen respectively. Well, judging by the brief clips of the movie shown at the Cannes party on Tuesday evening, it is a lush and sensuous film with several love scenes between the two. The party hosted by Deepa Sahi’s Maya Movies and Aanand Mahendroo’s Infinity Entertainment was attended by the director of the film Ketan Mehta and cast members Randeep Hooda, Nandana Sen and Ferena Wazier.
The film which also has an English version titled Colours of Passion, is set for release across India by June end.
