Hindi Film industry with its center in Bollywood just same like as their compatriot Indian Inc is trying to establish its impact over global cinema as the latter one has done while acquiring business firms in foreign land.

Activities like Anil Ambani’s deal to buy Speilberg’s Dream Works SKG; Walt Disney’s dominant share in UTV Software Communications Ltd. is example of increasing influence of Bollywood industry, internationally. Ambani indicated interest of Indian Inc when he signed agreement to provide finances to production houses owned by Jim Carrey, George Clooney, Tom Hanks, Brad Pitt and Nicolas cage. And subprime market crisis in USA has led these production houses to welcome foreign money in Hollywood.

Ambani’s this tie up with Dream Works SKG and other production houses is expected to   yield up to 30 script of which at least 10 will go finally into production. Apart from Hollywood Ambani is interested in entertainment industry in United States as he has acquired 200 theatres there.

This was merely one side of the picture, the other one is of outsourcing by Hollywood companies from India, due to her exceptional skills in software development. As the animation or the specials effect part of the movie due to expertise services occurs to be quite cheaper in India.

The fact is well reflected through the example of India being place for animation outsourcing with example of 50 Indians being part of the animation team of ‘The Chronicles of Narnia.’ The 30 percent of the work for Hulk has also been done over here in India. An half an hour animated movie in India cost $ 60, 000 where as in USA it costs round to $ 2,50, 000 to $4,00, 000.

There are many companies including Walt Disney Pictures, Time Warner’s Cartoon Network Enterprise and Sony Pictures Entertainment which have started outsourcing job from top quality computer programmers and animators or local set up local operations.

No doubt, this mixture of finance through hands of like Ambanis and excellence of Talent through hands of animators and software professional will surely benefit Bollywood as well as Hollywood.

This time Priyanka and Harman spotted promoting Pantaloons as Priyanka was looking real hot in her short dress during the promo of the movie as well as Pantaloon. Now this is turn of Rani Mukherji to roam through the streets of Mumbai to promote her forthcoming movie Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic as dressed up in the same dress as she is attired in the movie. With India’s leading production house, Excel Entertainment, producer-director Farhan Akhtar marks his debut as an actor in ‘Rock On’. The film also stars Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli, Sahana Goswami and Luke Kenny in the lead. The film is about a rock band which was the greatest in the country but they never make it and how a long drawn reunion helps them achieve their musical ambitions. Bollywood’s principal independent PR agency Dale Bhagwagar Media Group is handling the media exercises for the film.

Writing on Facebook, Farhan says,

“I am really impressed by how many people recall the guitar riff from Lakshya in the Rock On!! track. The riff was stuck in my mind since first recorded in 2004 and we thought this would be the best outlet for it. As the lyrics say “Ye mauka nahin milega dubaara’.”

He adds,

“Rock has very rarely been served up in Indian films without the necessary “filmi sound” embellishments. With this movie, we are attempting to push the envelope and take Rock… Real Rock… and make it the basis for the soundtrack. It’s been an amazing experience putting it together and if the journey was this exciting, I’m sure the destination will be fantastic! The music will be out in mid-July.”

Luke Kenny comments,

“I am sure everyone will enjoy watching it as much as we had a blast making it…this is India’s first Rock N Roll Hindi film so wait and see.”

As ‘Rock On’ hits theatres on August 29 this year, what we are waiting for is the debut of the cute TV bahu Prachi Desai making it on the big screens.

That Ranbir Kapoor gets to romance three lovely ladies in director Siddhartha Anand’s ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ is a stale one now. The latest addition is that the deadly trio together with Ranbir has shot a promotional number for the movie.

Choreographed by Ahmed Khan, the number has Ranbir jiving with the three ladies of the film – Deepika Padukone, Minissha Lamba and Bipasha Basu. To be known here that the three ladies are not sharing the share screen space in the film but are appearing together only in this promotional track.

The song has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar and has interesting facts related to it. The song uses the original opening lines of the famous song “Bachna Ae Haseeno” from Rishi Kapoor’s film ‘Hum Kissi Se Kam Nahin’. Where Kishore Kumar had sung the original one for Rishi Kapoor in 1977, Kishoreda’s son Sumeet has sung the song with similar title for Rishi Kapoor’s son Ranbir Kapoor in this movie.

At first, Ranbir was supposed to sing this song but the idea was dropped later. Hope the father’s song does wonders for son’s film.

Miss World (Tourism) and former Miss India Sonal Chauhan had done a long chain of endorsements before being discovered by Bhatts for ‘Jannat’. To name a few there are – Lays (with Saif Ali Khan), Pepsi (with John Abrams), Ponds, Hero Honda, Nokia, and …. and… several big brands.

After having her kisses (with our serial kisser Emraan Hashmi in Jannat) and misses in Bollywood, the girl has moved on to Tollywood. Currently, Sonal is pairing next to Rahul for VN Aditya’s latest film ‘Rainbow’. And she is no less than thrilled for it saying, “I am thrilled at Telugu film industry, which has its hoary past, recently celebrating its diamond jubilee. You might even retort that you had heard similar stories. But, I assure, it is altogether a new experience for all the artistes.”

When it comes to the choice of roles, Saif Ali Khan has done a variety of them from chocolate lover boy to the mean ‘Langra Tyagi’ in ‘Omkara’. And now, he has been offered a very challenging role indeed- the role of a terrorist. The film is written and is to be directed by Rensil D’Silva, who is the script writer of the block buster “Rang De Basanti”. The script was liked by Karan Johar so much, that he has agreed to produce it. And to add spice to the meaty offer, Saif will be romancing her new found passion, Kareena Kapoor herself.

Says a source close to the film,

“The story is a far cry from the usual Karan’s films. There will be no designer glam sham or naach gaana. It is a hard-hitting subject. Karan loved Rensil’s script so much that he decided to produce it. He also gave Rensil the freedom to choose the actors to justify his script. That’s how Rensil decided to cast Saif. He plays a meticulous and urban-educated terrorist. There is also an interesting romantic track between him and the leading lady, Kareena,”

Meet the Khiladi Akshay Kumar in his new rugged and rough and tough look for his reality show ‘Fear Factor- Khatron Ke Khiladi’. Keeping in toe with the script and his action hero personality, Akshay Kumar has styled his look to be absolutely unconventional and defiant.

Styled by a London based designer, his fashion line includes unusual hooded jackets, contemporary scarves, and trendy ankle length boots. Sporting a military crew cut, salt-pepper stubble and of course designer aviator glasses, the actor sure gives several beats a miss. Tall, athletic, leaner and extremely handsome Akshay has done all the death defying stunts in the show himself, given that he is trained in martial arts.

Talking about his new look, Akshay Kumar said,

“I wanted to show all my ‘COLORS’ through my new style, Akshay’s personal style… I don’t want to look like someone else to be cool. What you see is what I am; from laughs to tears, to dangerous stuff, ladies and cheetah…It’s just me, myself and all my scarves.”

The show will be shot entirely in South Africa, over a period of one month and is being produced by Endemol India.

Priyanka is not sparing any event or occasion to promote her next sci-fi movie “Love Story 2050”. She was spotted with a Teddy Bear called Boo in her arms during the launch of Ira Diamonds Jewellery collection on June 24. During the music launch of the movie that is shot upto 80% is shot in Australia celebrities including Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Neha Dhupia and others were presented.
