Both the most awaited movies with debutant performance in male leads finally released this week with fanfare, however, with different box office reports. Imran Khan starer Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa as according to market reports opened with 80% collection while Harman- Priyanka starer sci-fi ‘Love Story 2050’ has only 30% opening.

Whatever, may be the collection of new released movies, they have continued the Bollywood trend of recent times of releasing debut star movies. For last few years every second week of Bollywood industry is hit by performances of a new actor, director or story-teller, who, either receives the praise of audience or continues his slow and steady progress with span of time.

However, in debut release of male actors there are hardly a few movies which resulted in big hits, yet two most memorable movies of time with debut performance are Rishi and Dimple Kapadia acted Bobby, and Kaho Naa Pyar Hai that rocked chart results as blazed with performance of Hrithik Roshan. Maine Pyar Kiya with Salman Khan in lead role is another biggest hit of its time.

The other most talked about debut stars of the latest age are Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone with comparatively different results for their respective movies. Ranbir starrer ‘Sawariya’ did average business whereas Deepika’s Om Shanti Om became a hit. A few other movies with debut performance of star in recent time are Neil Nitin Mukesh in Johnny Gaddar, Shiney Ahuja in Hazaron Khwahishen Aisi, Vidya Balan in Parineeta and Rajeev Khandelwal in Aamir.

Mansoor Khan for Qayamat se Qayamat Tak, Sooraj Barjatya for Maine Pyar Kiya, Aditya Chopra for Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Karan Johar for Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) and list is on with new names arriving each and every day.
