South actress Kaveri Jha may not have made her presence felt much with her film ‘Hijack’ opposite Shiney Ahuja, but the girl has definitely impressed at least some of the makers. So, Kaveri has been signed for ‘Bum Bum Bole’ directed by Priyadarshan.
The film is an adaptation of the hit Iranian film ‘Children of Heaven’ and has Darsheel Safary in the lead. The film also stars Atul Kulkarni who will play Darsheel’s father and Rituparna Sengupta, who will play his mother. Kaveri has been signed to play the role of Atul’s sister.
News has it that the film runs on two parallels, one that deals with Darsheel and his faith in God, while the second is about the relationship between Kaveri and Atul. Priyadarshan is so excited about this project that he has kept his comedy ‘De Dana Dan’ on hold for the time being till this one gets completed.
Rani Mukherjee has always been a favorite of Yash Raj camp and sure the actress has delivered some mega hits for the camp. This time the lady is in YRF’s next directed by Anurag Singh. Not much is known about Rani’s role and storyline of the film.
However, rumours have revealed that Rani plays the character of a cricket enthusiast in the film who is so obsessed with the sport that she will go to any level to play it. This obsession pushes her to disguise herself as a man and enter an all male cricket squad.

Ghajini’ is a remake of 2005 Tamil film about a man amnesia (Aamir Khan), who wants to avenge his wife’s murder (Jiah Khan). The plotline of Christopher Nolan’s American film ‘Memento’ (2000) is similar to that of ‘Ghajini’. A. R Rahman directed songs of the movie are shot at Namibian desert and Cape Town in South Africa. In the movie Rehman has sported a different as you will see him in clean-shaven head in the movie.
Shah Rukh’s in his ‘Temptation Reloaded 2008’, a live concert world tour bandwagon has added more stars to rock the world. In the next event for the tour at Dubai Festival City Arena, Katrina Kaif and Arjun Rampal have joined the SRK’s group. Hard Kaur, Anusha Dandekar and Ganesh Hegde are other stars who would perform along SRK at the show.
However, shows in Germany and Spain have been cancelled and SRK is in tight spot due to breach of contract. The show is also to be part of coronation celebrations of Bhutan’s new king Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk in Thimpu, capital of the Himalayan kingdom, from November 6-8.

Preity Zinta is overwhelmed on receiving the best actress award at the Chicago International Film Festival for her performance as the battered Punjabi wife facing domestic violence in Deepa Mehta’s ‘Heaven On Earth’.
“I am so happy and excited. It was my director Deepa Mehta who informed me on Saturday afternoon that I had won. I couldn’t go to Chicago, and neither could Deepa. Without any lobbying I’ve done it,” beams Preity. She has other reasons to celebrate too. Her film ‘Heroes’ is doing pretty well on the domestic front.
Preity is immensely thankful to Anupam Kher. “I attended his acting school to get my Punjabi right for both the roles. He taught me how to pronounce the words properly. He has been a blessing.”
Deepa Mehta expresses her sincere joy on Preity’s success and says, “It’s amazing, isn’t it? I’m so happy for Preity. She’s luminous in ‘Heaven On Earth’…just like Shabana Azmi in ‘Fire’. Coincidentally, Shabana was the other actress to win the Best Actress Award at Chicago. I don’t think any other Indian actress has won this award. I’m happy Preity is getting rave reviews for Heroes. I’ve seen bits of her performance in ‘Heroes’. And in fact it was that performance which reassured me that I had made the right choice for Heaven On Earth.”
