Saif Ali Khan had been hospitalized in Leelavati hospital on Christmas eve owing to a stomach upset, but now he is well on the way to recovery.

Speaking from his hospital bed at Leelavati hospital on Dec 26, Saif said, “I’m almost recovered now. I’m going home today (27 Jan). It was nothing, really.

I returned from Philadelphia from the shooting of Rensil d’Silva’s film on 23rd night. And since I was missing all the Mumbai ka khana, I gorged indiscriminately on local junk food, sev puri bhelpuri, paani puri….puri ki puri fauj went into my stomach.”

Saif claims it was nothing serious and he is going for a holiday with Kareena as pre-planned. She said, “It was gastroenteritis. Yes, I’ve been in hospital twice in the recent past. Once it was just an appendicitis. And the other time it was far more serious. After going through what I did the last time I’m hardly going to get scared by a little stomach infection.”

He added, “Actually it’s much less scary than it looks. I’ve got a drip coming out of my hand, so that makes it look kind of serious. But it’s nothing. I’m fine. Just a little sleepy. In fact Kareena and I are going on our holiday to the mountains as planned.”

Cheer up girls! Now is the stripping season for Bollywood hunks. For long, Bollywood actresses have used their weapon of skin baring to make their way to success. Now, it is Bollywood males who are entering into the dare-bare territory.

John Abraham had stripped down to the barest minimum on the beach in “Dostana”. Now, reports say that he has bared it all for a torture scene in his next film “New York”.

The scene in question is for a prison for director Kabir Khan’s flick which narrates the tale of friendship and terrorism.

Earlier, Kunal Kapoor in “Rang De Basanti” and Ranbir Kapoor in “Saawariya” did bare-back scenes that were deleted when the films opened. But John’s nude scene is set to remain in “New York”, which is slated for a January release.

Said a source close to the project: “It’s a prison sequence in the US where John, who is suspected to be a terrorist, is denuded of all dignity. This is how they break your spirit in an American prison when they want you to confess to being a terrorist.

“They make you eat, sleep, urinate and defecate in the same room. Then they begin to strip your dignity down… until you are left in the cold, dingy cell completely naked. John had to enact this sequence.”

It was Salman’s 44th Birthday on 27th December and though he moved to his farmhouse in Pavel, Mumbai to celebrate his birthday with his selected friends and family, however, his fans were no far behind in celebrating the birthday of their famous film star. Some of them celebrated the day with Salman’s poster, flowers and birthday gifts.  One of the Salman’s Fan site had a link allowing fan’s to send their wishes to the actor. As Salman definitely would not have time to read each and every mail yet he would read some and must have replied to them.

Celina Jaitley who is known for his skin showing acts rather than acting talent recently had a very death defying action stunt during the shooting of movie ‘Run Bhola Run’. Thus this image turn over act for Celina happened when her action director   told that there an action sequence is in the movie to be acted next and her body double would perform it, however, Celina who as an NCC Cadet had rigorous training to her  credit insisted on doing the act herself.

In this act she had to jump from a 10 story building and to her problem she had to perform that act in miniskirt instead of jeans.   “Oh! She did an excellent job! These stunts can be very dangerous and it takes guts to perform them. In fact, there was a body double ready but Celina Jaitley was pretty excited. I think she is the first female artist to do such a dangerous stunt. The whole unit praised her after the shot was over,” as her action director said.

In the words of Celina, “My life that day totally depended on the entire action team as they were operating the cables from a crane on top of the 10-story building. I was still a bit nervous because this time I was jumping in a mini skirt and not military fatigues! The worst part was leaning towards the ground from the ledge of the building before the fall. The action director and his team were extremely motivating. I got major kicks out of it as extreme sports have always excited me.”

So this is a great change in Celina’s Image.

Soon after returning from the shooting of Rensil D’Silva’s untitled film in Philadelphia Saif Ali Khan was admitted at Lilavati hospital after the complain of abdominal pain during a Christmas party. It is told that he is suffering from some sort of intestinal infection but would get very soon. He was admitted to the same hospital last year after he complained about chest pains. It was the great gathering of some of the best beauties from the India as they all assembled at Mumbai’s JW Marriott Hotel to participate in Miss Teen India 2008. Among all the beauties, it was the Diana Hayden who being as the center of attraction of the show was dressed up in spectacular black and white accented spaghetti.

It was a long icy gnawing emptiness when the pair which gave hits like Suneel Darshan’s Andaaz and climaxing in Abbas-Mustan’s Aitraaz stopped working with each other for reasons unknown. So deep was the cleft between the pair that Suneel Darshan had to scrap an Akshay-Priyanka starrer after a song featuring them.

But finally, after the long gap of three years, the fans of the duo were enthralled to see them together when Akshay and Priyanka performed together on stage on Thursday for Christmas at the Convention Centre in Hong Kong for a show called ‘From Chandi Chowk To Hong Kong.’ As an icing to the cake was the Bong beauty Bipasha Basu’s performance who was earlier scheduled to perform in Mumbai for New Year’s eve.

“Yes, I performed on stage with Akshay Kumar in Hong Kong. It was great fun”, says Priyanka.

Who can forget the lavish spending made by filmmaker Vikram Bhatt for the magical European castle which was the setting of his horror flick ‘1920’. Now, Vkram Bhatt is repeating his lead couple of ‘1920’, Rajneesh Duggal and Adah Sharma, in ‘Phirr’ and he has gone ahead and done something for the film which very few producers would dare to do.

Vikram has recently shot some portions of the film in UK and during this schedule, he hired a beautiful and gorgeous ship called the ‘Ice Maiden’. Shooting aboard the ship cost Vikram a whopping 6000 pounds per day. “It was the costliest shoot that I have done,” he says.

However, Vikram is quick to defend his spending and says, “I am not a fool to spend that amount on hiring a ship, if it wasn’t required. I can’t reveal much but the ship is an essential aspect in the climax of the film. The temperature was freezing… It was below zero… in weather conditions like this it becomes difficult to shoot action sequences. But it was worth the experience.”

The investment will definitely prove to be worth only if the film sets the cash registers ringing at the box-office.

Her big leap from smaller screen to the silver screen proved to be quite successful with Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Rock On’. Talking about Prachi Desai, the young lady is already geared up for her second Bollywood venture.

Prachi is all excited about her next project which is a part of director Abbas Mastaan’s and Vashu Bhagnani’s co-production venture under Burmawala banner with Rumi Jaffery directing the movie. Titled ‘Life Partner’, the movie has Prachi opposite Tushar Kapoor along with Fardeen Khan and Genelia.

Says Prachi ” Yes I am doing this film and can’t talk more about it as it is not the right time to talk about it.”

Former Congress MP and grandfather to Twinkle Khanna’s son, Aarav has surpassed Big B’s act in ‘Nishabd’. The ageing actor, who is ready with his new flick Wafaa, will be seen lip-locking and even biting his heroine Saara, a Pakistani actress, in an intimate scene. The act is sure to leave his fans, relatives and friends speechless with embarrassment. The film has been directed by Rakesh Sawant, brother of Bollywood bombshell Rakhi Sawant. But the director says the scenes are not just fitted in rather they are an important part for the film’s flow. In the movie Rajesh and Saara play husband and wife so the scene was put in. The movie revolves around a business tycoon marrying a young air hostess who has eyes on his enormous wealth.

This is another addition to the gestures of friendship between Aamir and Salman Khan. Salman is all praises and best wishes for Aamir’s ‘Ghajini’ so much so that he himself painted out two paintings of Aamir from ‘Ghajini’.

The paintings, in keeping with the somewhat dark theme of the film, are in black and white and a noticeable aspect of both the paintings is the fact that both of them depict Aamir’s by-now-famous Ghajini hairstyle.

Asin, the leading lady of “Ghajini” on last Wednesday unveiled the paintings at a special function at the Inox at Nariman Point in South Mumbai. Asin said she was “highly impressed” by the creative talent of the star “who can paint so well”.

Not to mention, both Aamir and Asin are keeping their fingers crossed as their film goes into Janta’s court this Christmas.

Her first film ‘Saawariya’ was a disaster, but she managed to get a huge fan following owing to her freshness and beauty. Talking about Sonam Kapoor, the gal has had no other releases as yet post ‘Saawariya’. She is busy doing Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Delhi 6’ opposite Abhishek Bachchan and has just signed in her first endorsement deal.

Now, the young actress will be the brand ambassador for international cosmetic brand L’Oreal and will launch its new range of products targeted at the young generation. Aishwarya Bachchan has been the brand face of L’Oreal for three years now. However, looking at her age and status, the company has decided to sign in young face Sonam Kapoor for their new product to be launched soon.

Ash will continue to be with the brand but she will represent only women of her ages and Sonam, the younger groups. Sonam was signed for a huge amount commensurate with what the actresses of today like Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra are charging. The deal was brought about by celebrity management company, Atul Kasbekar’s Bling. Sonam has already shot for her first L’Oreal ad which will be launched sometime in January next year (2009).
