Priyanka Chopra has faced two health scares over the period of one week. Just a week back, she fainted on the sets of director Ashutosh Gowarikar’s film ‘What’s Your Raashi’ due to fatigue and exhaustion and now, this Saturday, she was admitted to a hospital after feeling acute stomach pain and physical exhaustion. A number of tests were conducted and the lady was advised complete bed rest for a few days.

Priyanka has now been discharged from Kokilaben Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai late afternoon on Monday, April 13. However, the actress still looked very weak.

Her father, Dr. Ashok Chorpa said, “She had fever and had been unwell for some time. We advised her to take a battery of tests and so she has been kept under observation. Though all her test reports are normal, she has been advised to take rest and to slow down her work schedule.”

He further added, “We are leaving for a long family vacation, but Priyanka first wants to complete Ashutosh Gowariker’s film (first week of May).”

The tinsel town is abuzz with rumors that the dimpled beauty Preity Zinta’s breakup with Ness Wadia. The couple has not been spotted together for quite sometime now. Preity has been seen at all the IPL events sans Ness.

Reports blame her link up with Vikram Chatwal for this breakup. However, Preity denies these rumors defiantly looking hurt and upset. She clarifies, “These rumors are in bad taste and completely baseless. I cannot believe such utter rubbish is being written.”

Friends close to Preity vouch further fact that the actress is extremely outspoken and always calls a spade a spade. She has always been honest about her personal life and values her dignity. It is unfair to her when such allegations are spread without even crosschecking with her. Her close friend says, “How can they link her up with anyone she’s seen with? Its rubbish!”

Sonam Kapoor’s first two movies, ‘Saawariyan’ and ‘Delhi 6’, both bombed at the box office, but the girl managed to get rave reviews for her perfect beuty and flawless features. Sonam, who played a homely desi girl in her last two films, is now all set to go to image make over in upcoming movie “Ayesha” which will be the home production movie for her.

Samir Karnik’s next directorial venture (after the mutli-starrer ‘Heroes’) is all set for release but with a different name though. The film, which was earlier titled ‘Roshan’, has now been named as ‘Vaada Raha’. This family-oriented film stars Bobby Deol as a doctor, Kangana Ranaut, Atul Agnihotri and Dwij Yadav.

Samir confirmed the news saying, “Yes the film is now called Vaada Raha. The name change is a decision taken by the makers Eros International who thought Vaada Raha would be a better title. They plan to release the film sometime in May provided the strike and other issues are taken care of.”

Samir is at present busy scripting his next big venture ‘Formula No.44’.

How real can the reality show get? Having a real Swayamvar for the ‘queen of controversies’? Yes, reality shows have gone as far as this where Rakhi Sawant will pose as a bride-in-waiting, who will choose her prospective husband through a Swayamvar on screen.

An extensive all-media audition will be held across the country and fifteen prospective grooms will be shortlisted. These prospective grooms will have to go through a series of challenges that have been created keeping in mind the criteria identified by Rakhi herself.

Each week, the grooms will be put through tasks that will test their personality, character, physical fitness, talent and also their compatibility with Rakhi. Rakhi will be joined by a host of her celebrity friends for certain tasks, who will help her make her decision.

The final week will see the wedding celebrations in all its glory from the mehndi to the sangeet and culminating in a real-life wedding for Rakhi with the groom that she has chosen through this reality show.

It seems that issue of sharing revenue between Cineplex owners and film producers have brought arch rival Shahrukh as well as Aamir on the common platform as they both themselves being producers are favoring equal distribution of revenue between them and Cineplex owners on the lines of Hollywood movies. As putting their points Amir Quoted in Times of India, “It is our responsibility to explain our problems and issues to our audiences.”
However, Shahrukh along voicing his protest at the same time apologized for delay of movies being released. He favored argument terming them, “fair rights for Friday nights.”
Both Aamir and Shahrukh Khan met at Karan Johar’s home while attending the press conference and putting forth their views. King Khan further stated, “It is like a pipeline: we make films and they (multiplexes) reach them to the people. Now, there is a bit of rust in that pipeline.”

Aditya Birla Group firm Ultratech Cement has announced a tie-up with the IPL first edition champions Rajasthan Royals for the second season of the T20 league starting at Cape Town in South Africa on April 18. Through this association, UltraTech will be the Official Team Sponsor of the Jaipur based IPL Team owned by Emerging Media, in which Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her boyfriend Raj Kundra had taken a stake with businessman Manoj Badale.

At this announcement event, Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty, bid farewell to the Indian players of the team wising them best of luck to win India’s first IPL. Shilpa’s encouraging words and support charged up the ambience and definitely the players. Prachi Desai has been signed for Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Films to play the role of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s soul mate Mehjabeen in Milan Luthria’s ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’.

Prachi will be playing a Muslim working class girl in 1975 who gets involved with a don. Prachi has done a lot of research on the role and says, “This character is from a time that existed before me. Yes I’ve done plenty of reading on my character. I want to look and feel like Mehjabeen. And it’s such a challenge. And doing a film with Balaji is like coming home. Shobha Aunty, Jeetu Uncle and Ekta are like family. I remained connected with them when I did Rock On because it was directed by Ekta’s cousin Gattu (Abhishek Kapoor). My second film Life Partner has Ekta’s brother Tusshar Kapoor as my co-star. And now I’m finally doing a Balaji production.”

Ekta and Prachi are going through all the available video footage on the lady. In fact they have been hunting through all over the Muslim localities of Mumbai last month including Haji Ali to pick up authentic salwar-kameez.
