Definitely, after a number of Oscar awards nomination for ‘SlumDog Millionaire’ it must have developed an interest for Hollywood stars to act in a movie produced in India and many have started working on projects. Among the stars, who are inline for shooting in Bollywood, the most noted one is ‘Basic Instinct” star Sharon Stone!
51 years old star has agreed to work in a movie titled, ‘Lost Love’ that would be directed by Tapan Saha. Her role is based on character of Maxine from Jhumpa Lahiri’s novel, “The Namesake”. She soon would be busy in shooting for movie in Mumbai and Kolkata to be produced either by Lighthouse or Lionsgate productions along with Sampurn Entertainment. For the shooting of the movie, Tapan Saha would also be co-coordinating with Hollywood script writers as well. Sharon’s character is about a daughter of a rich business family settled in Los Angeles and duped by her Indian boyfriend and her efforts to search for her love on her journey to India.
Such is her airs that not many men in Bollywood can say no when Sex kitten Mallika Sherawat asks for something. Even Big B couldn’t say no to her when she offered to go for jogging in slow motion on National Television.
But finally one man has emerged to have guts to refuse her. Apparently, it is Kay Kay Menon who turned down the role that Mallika offered him in her home production Hisss.
Mallika and Menon have already worked in Sanjay Chhel’s ‘Maan Gaye Moghal-E-Azam’ and in her promotional interviews for the film she openly praised his work. So, when she came upon the question of an actor for an important and intense role in her film, naturally Kay Kay’s name cropped in her mind. She then sent her team over to him with the script.
However, after few days Kay Kay called Mallika and refused the offer saying that the script was definitely interesting and that he was confident that she would make a good film but he cannot see himself in that part that she has offered him in the film.
With SRK adding years, he no longer seems to fit into the romantic Raj image of the Yash Raj camp. So, Yash Raj Films have very wisely decided to move on and have have wasted no time in zeroing on their new Raj – chocolate boy Shahid Kapoor. The Yash Raj camp sees Shahid as the classic romantic hero who has the potential to turn on the sexy or rugged vibe when required.
So, now we have Shahid Kapoor working on two Yash Raj projects in a row- One is Anurag Singh’s ‘Hadippa’ opposite Rani Mukherjee and the other is Parmeet Sethi’s untitled flick where he is paired opposite Anushka Sharma.
SRK gave us some most memorable movies as the Raj of the Yash Raj camp. How far Shahid Kapoor does justice to Raj, only time can tell.
On following Sunday, it would be second innings for the quiz show “10 Ka Dum” as this time there is more expectation from Salman Khan, who really made its first season a big hit. The quiz show once again is set for winning prize of Rs. 10 crore. The show suitable for a family viewing had one of the highest TRPs in Indian Television history. On the first episode of second season on coming Saturday it is Kareena and Karisma Kapoor who are participating in it.

It was our bad luck not to see Shilpa Shetty performing at IPL season 2 closing night where she was supposed to perform with Katrina Kaif and Akon.
Shilpa says, “I was just not prepared. It was an international platform, not some village nautanki. I had to be fully ready. And I just didn’t get time to rehearse. So I regretfully had to say no. But I’d rather not give anything less than my best when I’m representing my country.”
However Shilpa who is the co-owner of Rajasthan Royals says, “So what if my team wasn’t playing. I think I’m sporting enough to enjoy the game as just a part of the audience.”

He has already played the character with negative shades in superhits like ‘Baazigar’, ‘Darr’, and ‘Anjaam’. Talking about SRK, there is no denying the fact that he livens up every character he plays. Now, he is set once again to don on the cap of a baddie in Yash Raj’s ‘Dhoom3’. ‘Dhoom’ had John Abraham as the villain and ‘Dhoom 2’ had Hrithik Roshan as the ace robber.
Reports have it that SRK immediately accepted when he was given the offer by the banner. The shooting of Dhoom 3 may start early next year. However, the director of the movie has not been finalized as yet.
The much awaited movie ‘Endhiran’ aka ‘Robot’ starring south superstar Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and other languages. This multi crore project is directed by Shankar and music is by AR Rahman.
This project promises to be the first of its kind in terms of CG (Computer Graphics), Special effects and Stunt Sequences. Top Notch technicians from Hollywood are being roped in for this movie making this project truly global.

The closing ceremony of Indian Premiere League Twenty20 league final at The Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg showcased the diverse cultures of South Africa and India with Katrina Kaif’s performance, Mahatma Gandhi’s favourite bhajan to Akon’s smash hits.
Katrina Kaif, also the brand ambassador of Royal Challengers Bangalore, looked nothing less than an angel as she set the stage afire with her performance attired in a graceful while dress. To be known here that Royal Challengers lost the IPL-2 season by a nero margin to Deccan Chargers.
Changing her name did not help Priyanka Kothari aka Nisha Kothari much. She was last seen in a tantalizing item number with Fardeen Khan in ‘Darling’. Her delayed release ‘Go’ went unnoticed and without creating any stir.
Now, it seems she is all set to impress everyone with her forthcoming flick ‘Agyaat’ where she plays the solo female lead. She also has a sizzling dance number in the film titled ‘Kiss Mix’.
“Yes, that’s my song in Agyaat. Don’t you like the sound of ‘Kiss Mix’? I find it quite cute actually; it is just one of it’s own kinds,” says Priyanka.
When the shooting of AGYAAT had come to a standstill, only a few scenes involving Priyanka were waiting to be shot. The earlier plans were to have only song to be picturised but later ‘Kiss Mix’ was added as an after thought.
“This is one song which has excited me so much after a very long time. And before you call it as an item or a promotional number, let me clear this at the very onset that ‘Kiss Mix’ would be very much a part of the film”, says Priyanka.
He had played the character of a photographer in ‘Delhi 6’ and now he is also there in Sonam Kapoor’s upcoming lick ‘Ayesha’. Working in two films together have given Sonam Kapoor and VJ Cyrus Sahukar enough time to know and develop a soft corner for each other.
The Bollywood gossip columns are abuzz with the rumours that Sonam and Cyrus have been seeing each other since the past few months. The foundation of this friendship (read romance) was laid with their first film together ‘Delhi 6’. The two are extremely fond of each other and enjoy spending quality time together. There couldn’t be a more appropriate judge jodi for the comedy reality show ‘Hans Baliye’ than the Karisma Kapoor and David Dhawan jodi which has given comedy megahits like ‘Haseena Maan Jaayegi’ and ‘Biwi No.1′.
The duo had last worked together in 2000 for ‘Chal Mere Bhai’ and is set to team up again after a long gap of nine years. The reality show will have eight real-life celebrity couples and will debut on Star One, May 30 at 8.30 p.m. The participants include the likes of television actors Tanaaz and Bakhtyaar Irani, Delnaaz and Rajiv Paul, newly-wed Juhi Parmaar with husband Sachin and Sara Khan with beau Ali Merchant.
‘Comedy is something I personally enjoy and watching these couples showcasing their humorous side will surely be a treat to watch. The show promises to be interesting and engaging,’ Dhawan explained as his reason for joining the show.
Karisma, on the other hand, said, ‘On Indian television, we have a plethora of reality shows such as talent shows for dancing, singing, etc but ‘Hans Baliye’ gives a platform to real life couples to showcase their talent to a wider audience. Making people laugh is not an easy job. It requires a whole lot of dedication and hard work. I am looking forward to having a good time on the show.’
