If her bikini act in ‘Kidnap’ and then the dare all- bare all in ‘Maxim’ was not enough, Minissha Lamba has yet again taken a step to stir every man’s fantasy by appearing on the cover page of popular men’s magazine ‘The Man’.
In addition, the issue has Minissha talk about a number of interesting things right from how she would like to be wooed to her choice of films adding how people within the industry and outside have started looking her differently post her glamorous avatar in Bachna Ae Haseeno and Kidnap. She also mentions that adventure sports like bungee jumping and kite surfing give her an adrenaline rush. She also talks about her character in her forthcoming film- Shyam Benegal’s Well Done Abba.

If you are wondering that Mallika Sherawat can only get honors an tags of being known as the ‘sex kitten’ or ‘Bollywood bombshell’, she is right here to prove you wrong. The babe has recently been called as “a pure soul” by Shreemad Jagadguru Shankaracharya Shree Shree Raghaveshwara Bharathi Swamiji, the 36th and present pontiff of Shree Ramachandrapura math. The guru had specially invited Mallika to visit his new ashram in Karnataka and organized a number of special pujas in her honor with 600 lotus flowers. The puja was performed by a number of high priests from Kerala and Mangalore.
Miss Sherawat also broke ground for the pontiff’s Hanuman project at the cave the where, Shankaracharya says, Lord Hanuman was born. A new Hanuman temple with the largest Hanuman monument, over 15 stories, will be built on the site.
Sherawat has expressed her gratitude by inviting Shankaracharya to the United States during her stay there. Sherawat said, “After having spent most of my time recently in the U.S., it was a great honour for me to make a special trip back to India to meet the Shankaracharya. In a very special way it reconnected me to my Hindu roots. The experience was truly one of the best of my life and one I will never forget.”

This interview from Hindustan Times was very special as the superstar of Bollywood, SRK and his family, wife Gauri Khan, son Aryan and daughter Suhana, exclusively posed for it and gave a very personal interview.
Lot of things were revealed about the family in the interview but what shocked us was the fact which came out that Gauri apparently doesn’t know how to cook, not even make a tea.
It may be mentioned here that Gauri Khan had appeared on the First Ladies show, where Farah Khan asked her how was she able to whip up such good food of different varieties, to which Gauri replied that her love for cooking makes her do that.
Now, which one is true, only Khan family can tell but for us we really like the family getting cozy in.

It is well known how much Kareena Kapoor wanted to work in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and how Imtiaz opted for Deepika Padukone instead of Bebo. Now, the movie has Saif Ali Khan in the lead role and given that Saif is very much in love with Kareena, he always keeps mentioning that it would’ve been great if Kareena was in place of Deepika.
This has obviously upset Deepika, who retorts back saying, “Fine! They’re in love and that’s a good thing. But I am quite confident about my performance.”
Dear Saif, it is high time you learn to keep your personal and professioanl life separate!
Meanwhile, check out the first look from the movie.
Where none of the producers are taking the risk of releasing their films amidst the extending cold war between the producers and multiplex owners, ‘Frozen’ a black & white film by Shivajee Chandrabhushan, has been released in the single screens.
Newcomer Gauri makes her debut with the film along with Danny. The film has been shot in Ladakh, in the harsh bitter winter and really extreme conditions at the base of Rhizong. During one shot, it had snowed the day before and the ice was slippery and Gauri was made to stand in the snow at one place for almost 3-4 hours!!!
Needless to say, Gauri was close to tears after the scene, as the -25 degree temperature had seeped into her body and her shoes and socks had become wet!
But the pain has been worth the gain coz the girl is getting rave reviews for her performance in the film.

Vivek Oberoi had created stirs with his role as Chadu in ‘Company’. After a long gap of seven years, RGV has again taken up the task of proving the actor’s worth by casting him in the lead role of rebel-turned politician Paritala Ravi in his ambitious venture ‘Rakta Charitra’ and says the film will re-launch both of them in Bollywood.
“After thinking hard on every actor both known and unknown, I finally zeroed in on Vivek Oberoi as the most ideal choice to play Paritala Ravi,” Varma, who has almost finished the shoot of Agyaat and is busy wrapping up Rann, said.
Ramu expresses his trust in Vivek stating, “For me, Vivek is the perfect choice for the role. Also, I know for sure that no way can Vivek get a better role than that of Paritala Ravi and no way can I get a better story than ‘Rakta Charitra’ to be told. This is why the film would be re-launching both of us.” he added.
“He has remarkable intensity in his eyes which I noticed during the making of ‘Company’. He has a voice which commands attention, there is an arrogance in his demeanour and an enormous power in his stance. Moreover, there is also a certain vulnerability, which makes one instantly warm up to him, which is what is needed to fit into Paritala Ravi’s profile,” the director explained.
The story of Rakta Charitra will span 12-15 years during which Vivek would be seen in different looks- From being a rebel in the jungles to a political strongman.

Bollywood’s King Khan surely knows how to live his life king size. So, it tow with his king size lifestyle, tech savvy Khan has bought a king size 14 meters long van designed by Dilip Chhabarai.
Dilip says, “We delivered Shah Rukh his van a week ago. It took us four whole months to build it, making it one of our most ambitious projects. Normally, we design vans that are eight to nine metres in length. But this one’s 14 metres long. But since a 14-metre van can’t be easily navigated, we’ve used a hydraulic system that enables the van to reduce in size when in motion. It can later expand to double its size when stationary.”
Describing the look of the van, Dilip says, “The van is a Volvo that is available in India, but what distinguishes this van from that of others is its chassis. We’ve used the biggest one. With five rooms inside, SRK will have the comfort of a lounge with bar, a gym, an office, a bedroom and a wash room with a shower. And since SRK is a technofreak, we’ve designed the van keeping that in mind, with an abundant scope for technology. The entire van has dual system for everything and new software has been created and programmed on the computer, converting all switches to touch screen. So, when SRK’s in a party mood, the lights can work as party lights, and when he wants to relax, the lights can shift to relax mode.”
SRK has given his personal touch in the designing of the van and so Dilip adds, “SRK was keen to have certain things his way, so he has put in a lot of effort in the project. And the result of course, is one of the best designs we’ve created.”
UTV’s 3D animation fantasy ‘Alibaba And The 41 Thieves’ can boast the voice cast of some of the big Bollywood stars with the likes of John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra, Ashutosh Rana, Atul Kulkarni, Saurabh Shukla and others. The film, which deals with the story of a boy who gets embroiled in the legendary Arabic tussle, is being produced at Chennai based Accel Animation Studios and has been written and directed by Soumitra Ranade of Jajantaram Mamantram fame.
The film has a modern twist to the legendary Arabian tale of ‘Alibaba And The 40 Thieves’ wherein a kid from Mumbai reaches the fantasy land. The film is about his interaction with Alibaba (John Abraham) and the villain Abu Hasan (Ashutosh Rana), the evil and brutal leader of the 40 thieves. Priyanka Chopra has given her voice to the character of Marjinah.
The director is all praises for its production house and says, “UTV is an amazing production house. Once they take on a project, they believe in it completely. In the last few years they are the ones who have given us Rang De Basanti, Jodhaa Akbar, Aamir, A Wednesday and Dev D besides so many other very interesting and commercially viable films. They give you adequate creative space. There is a certain civility with which they make their films. And believe me they will make a serious mark in animation too. Both Alibaba and Arjun are very high end films not just formally but more importantly content wise.”

Saif Ali Khan is very serious about his role of a ‘Jehadi’ in Resil D’Silva’s untitled flick where he appears along with Vivek Oberoi. It would be a realistic film set in a city. Saif would play the troubled protagonist. In fact, Karan Johar was so taken up by the script that he decided to produce the film for Rensil and gave him a free hand in choosing the star cast.
The movie has Kareena Kapoor as Saif’s love interest. Saif has done a lot of research for this role of a Muslim fundamentalist and this has made him wiser and politically more aware it seems.
Saif says, “The role has not only made me more politically aware, it has also made me more religious. Earlier, I was more spiritual than religious. I knew a lot of things about Islam and always believed in the higher power. But when I did a lot of reading on Islam, the one most decisive thing that I learnt had to do with Allah. We tend to presume Allah to be the Muslim God. But Allah is the Arab word for the ‘same God’, or the ‘one true God’ that, I thought, was a wonderful thing to learn while doing this character. All religions believe in the oneness of God. So what’s all the fighting about? Whether it’s Christianity, Islam or Judaism, many of the religions have fought a holy war at one time or another. It’s been a part of religious history.”
Saif adds, “It’s the most politically relevant character I’ve played. Though my character Langda Tyagi in Omkara was a political creature, his politics was subverted. In Rensil’s film, I play the Jehadi as a very real and suave gentleman, dressed in very dapper clothes like a college professor and hence more frightening. I play an Islamic fundamentalist while Vivek Oberoi plays the more moderate Muslim.”
“To me the whole point of being an actor is to become characters I can’t be in real life. My character in Rensil’s film is redeemed at the end. But even if he wasn’t, I’d still say yes to a role that explores my emotions that lie too deep for fears and tears. My character in Rensil’s film has become the way he has because of the way Americans have treated Afghanistan and other Islamic states. I don’t think 26/11 or earlier 9/11 are Islamic acts. No matter what people say, I don’t think any terrorist is a Muslim. Let’s make that distinction very clear. Of course the population of Afghanistan may disagree with me. But I condemn 26/11 as a deed done by non-Muslims.”
That super sexy Jiah Khan lost her role in Ken Ghosh’s ‘Yahoo’ to bubbly and beautiful newbie Genelia D’Souza is stale now. The new one is that Genelia seems to be conscious and nervous of her co-star Shahid Kapoor given that he is such a good actor and a dancer par excellence.
Genelia, “It’s my first film with Shahid Kapoor who is a phenomenal dancer; and I’m nervous as hell at the thought of having to match steps with him.”
Talking about her role in the film, she says, “I accepted the role because it is challenging for me as an actor. Also, I share a good rapport with the film corporation who is producing Yahoo. For now, I’m happy to yahoo in Bollywood.”
As for us, we feel that the jodi of Shahid-Genelia can create magic at box-office. All we need is to wait and watch!

Farhan Akhtar will be playing the lead role in director Sudhir Mishra’s adaptation of Shakespeare’s ‘Hamlet’ in Indian context. The film titled ‘Dhruv’ will have Kareena Kapoor and Chitrangada Singh in female leads. Farhan has agreed to produce the film too.
Farhan will play a young man who is forced to join politics and later becomes an influential political leader like the way Hamlet did when his father was killed. It may be mentioned here that before this, Sudhir was working on another political story, ‘Aur Devdas’, but had shelved the movie after the release of ‘Dev D’.
This time the films based on politics are in fashion it seems. So, we also have Prakash Jha making a film based on politics named ‘Rajniti’ which is said to be inspired by ‘Mahabharat’ and the Hollywood film ‘The Godfather’.
Before this Vishal Bhardwaj jas already adapted Shakespeare’s plays ‘Macbeth’ and ‘Othello’ for his films Maqbool and Omkara respectively.
Mugdha Godse took everyone by surprise with her performance in ‘Fashion’. Now, the actress is busy with the shoot of ‘Jail’.
Mugdha met with a tragic car accident on Tuesday afternoon while she was going to Pune to visit her parents. Her car, a black Skoda, skidded off the Expressway and was severely damaged. Mugdha was admitted to a hospital in Pune. She and her driver are fine now.
“I was to fly to Goa for to shoot for Jail and wanted to visit my parents before that,” she said adding, “”The doctor has advised me complete bed-rest for the next few days.”
