Very few people know that Isha Koppikhar is a black belt holder in Taekwando. The sexy lady, who is hosting the wrestling reality show De Dhana Dhan, indulged in some light moments during her shoot in South Africa. She explored the wild life of South Africa and enjoyed the wild life at Johannesburg Lion Safari.
Eesha recalls the memories and says, “It was such fun doing 100% De Dhana Dhan in South Africa. The warmth of the people can only be compared with that our people of India. I always wanted to visit South Africa also for its diverse wild life. Being an ardent animal lover, I was really looking forward to experience the wild life safari. So, at the first given opportunity, I just took off to visit the lion’s park at Johannesburg.”
“The experience was thrilling and endearing. Not only did I get a chance to see Lions up close in person, but I also got a chance to play with the cubs. It was an amazing experience playing with cubs. They pulled, scratched, even tried to bite… but it didn’t matter as I was so happy just to be there. I guess neither the cubs nor I felt threatened in each other’s company. Like human babies, all that they wanted was fun and pampering. I just loved the way the cubs were being treated at the lion’s park. In a protected environment, they were so free. I also had the rare privilege to see the white Albino lion. It’s a thing of beauty, as only nature can make,” adds the gal.
Eesha could not stop raving about her experience and continued saying, “I have visited several wildlife sanctuaries and seen Tigers at Jim Corbett national park, Gir national park, Ranthanbhore tiger reserve, Kanha wildlife sanctuary, Bandhavgarh national park etc., but the South African safari was like watching king Lion and his family in his their palace.”
Salman Khan had many Bollywood biggies sashay down the ramp for his ‘Being Human’ show at the ongoing HDIL India Couture Week here late Tuesday. The celeb list included the likes of Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan.
But, the person who pepped up the show was bubbly Preity Zinta who sat with her friend choreographer-turned-director Farah Khan and fashion designer Manish Malhotra and started cheering and clapping right from the beginning of the show when Salman graced the ramp.
‘Wow! Salman! Salman!,’ shouted Zinta attired in a black T-shirt and sporting a new look with fringes falling perfectly on her forehead, the actress looked as ravishing as ever. Farah Khan and Manish Malhotra too joined her.
‘I must tell you that my throat is already gone. I was so happy that all this shouting and cheering just happened. The show was all about being human and being together. It celebrated togetherness of the industry and this is what had me do all the shouting. But it is worth it,’ said Preity.
Commenting on Aamir Khan’s ramp debut, she said that the actor looked cute.
‘I think he was looking very cute on the ramp. He is already so charming and you can’t take that away from him,’ she said.
Monday afternoon was special for those around the Taj Mahal as Shilpa Shetty was there with her beau Raj Kundra to spend an hour cherishing their love. The couple was guarded by their personal security guards as a huge crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of Shilpa. Shilpa and Raj, at present, own a business empire which includes a $16.2 million (10 million pounds) stake in the Rajasthan Royals Twenty20 cricket team and a recently acquired food and beverage company, Gourmet Creations.
Shetty, 34, believes in relishing every moment of her life inspite of problems and controversies cropping up every now and then. She recently became the co-chairwoman of Gourmet Creations after she and fiance Raj Kundra paid 6 million pounds to buy a 33 per cent stake in it.
Now, the former boss of her newly acquired restaurant chain has sued her for 6 million pounds on grounds of unfair dismissal.
Jamal Hirani, 42, founder of fast-food chain ‘Tiffinbites’ alleges that he was forced out by colleagues in a process that led to the firm closing and opening under a new name, the V8 Gourmet Group.
“They manufactured false accusations against me. This ultimately was my company and I have been removed. I understand that since I have left Shilpa Shetty has invested in the business,” said Hirani.
A spokesman for the actress reacted to the controversy by saying, “The case refers to events that happened before Shilpa and Raj joined. She was always aware this tribunal was coming up and hopes for a fair outcome.”
There had been rumors that Bipasha Basu was kicked out of ‘Raavan’ because her role as Mandodari opposite Abhishek Bachchan was posing a threat and overshadowing other female characters in the film.
Now, Bipasha speaks up saying that these rumors are baseless and her leaving the film was an amicable decision between her and the director.
“They were all rumors and only rumors. I am not a part of ‘Raavan’. I was initially a part of ‘Raavan’ but Mani sir thought he couldn’t do justice to my role… as to whatever he had promised me would definitely be in conflict with the actual story of the film once it is shot, ” said Bipasha adding, “So he took a call instead of being in an embarrassing position later on. He decided to tell me that and amicably we decided that it should not be done…hopefully we’ll work together soon. So now there’s going to be no Mandodari in the film.”
Bipasha spoke up at a press meet for All The Best in New Delhi on Saturday, October 10, 2009. This Yash Raj production has been directed by Rohit Shetty and stars Fardeen Khan, Mugdha Godse, Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgn, besides Bips.
About the film, Bipasha revealed, “‘All The Best’ is a situational comedy and a total entertainer. It deals with a lot of mistaken identities, people lying and getting into trouble. My character is called Jahnvi who is married to Ajay in the film. She is a straightforward girl who is trying to run her life and family by looking after a totally rundown gym. She cons people to join the gym by lying because by the looks of it, nobody wants to join it.”

”’Karthik Calling Karthik’ is a romantic thriller and my role is quite bold and optimistic in the film as opposite to Farhan’s which is a very pessimistic one,” Deepika told reporters adding, “It is a tough film and was a very challenging role.”
Directed by Vijay Lalwani, the film is about a man who gets phone calls from himself. It is co-produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under their banner Excel Entertainment and Amit Chandra and Vijay Lalwani of Magic Beans.
About her Diwali plans, Deepika said: “I will be with my family.”
Deepika Padukone was last seen in ‘Love Aaj Kal’ and talking about the success of the film, she said, ”I am glad that people have liked it and it is a hit. I think it’s a step towards more interesting and realistic cinema. A lot of people who have been through an experience like that have actually related to the film.”
Padukone was all praises for beau Ranbir Kapoor’s latest release ‘Wake Up Sid’. ”I think Wake Up Sid was a really sweet, funny and romantic film. Ayan (the director) has brought out the best in both the actors,” she said.
Amrita Rao debuted as the simple girl-next-door with ‘Ishq Vishq’ and she continued with that image in quite a few of her flicks like ‘Main Hoon Na’ and ‘Vivah’. On his retirement and career plans, Amitabh said, “I would disagree that actors of my age don’t get important roles to play in movies. Look at Dada Muni (Ashok Kumar)…he was an example. He kept doing important roles even till he was 80 years old. I can’t be playing the lover boy anymore. So I do all those roles that suit a 67-year-old.”
Last year, Big B had a very quiet birthday owing to his mother’s illness. This year he plans to spend his birthday with his family. He says, “I shall be with my family in the night to bring in my birthday. Abhishek and Aishwarya shall drive down from location to be with me.”

A lot is being expected from Sanjay Gupta’s psychological thriller ‘Acid Factory’. Though the script is a copy from Hollywood it promises to be a nail-biting crime thriller. The story of the film revolves around the protagonists trapped in a chemical factory with the best part of the plot being that they don’t remember a thing. Suffering from temporary amnesia, all six have forgotten their identities and how they got there. They get their clues from phone calls made by a mob boss (Irrfan Khan) and wonder who among them is their friend or the foe.
The star cast of the film, which includes Irrfan Khan, Dino Moreo, Dia Mirza, and Aftab Shivdasani, looked confident about the film as they smiled and shone at the movie’s premiere in Mumbai. Check out a few shots from the event.

It so happened that while shooting for her South film ‘Sreemati’ opposite superstar Upendra, she faced an accident which could turn out to be fatal had it not been for her luck.
While shooting, the camera buggy was supposed to go past her while she was standing near an outcrop, but unfortunately it swung out of control, toppling Celina who just managed to grab a buggy rung. She lost her grip on that too but the camera assistant Ram Gopal Mishra grabbed her and that saved her.
Celina shudders at the memories and says, “I escaped severe injuries by falling into shallow rocky seas from a great height.
The incident makes the sex kitten a bit philosophical as she says that those who have the blessings and goodwill of others have nothing to worry about.

Dance Premier League is a unique format where teams from all zones of India – North, West, East, Central, South and even one team of NRIs’ will compete in a league format to emerge as the Champion Zone of the country. Every team will have a unique logo, brand ambassador, cheer-leaders and slogan.
Each zone will have a brand ambassador who will announce the names of the finalists of their zones. While Salman Khan will be seen rooting for the North zone, Bipasha Basu for East and Arshad Warsi for South. Its being said that Bollywood baadshah Shah Rukh Khan and actress Kajol have been approached for the NRI zone along with Katrina Kaif.
The production house is also in talks with Preity Zinta and Kareena Kapoor for Central and West zones respectively.
Rani has got this opportunity after Madhuri and Aishwarya backed out. “Madhuri has ditched the channel and production house as she could not find a nanny to look after her kids. There were talks with Katrina Kaif too but things seem to be bit difficult there, thus now they have approached to Rani Mukherjee for the same,” says the source from the production house.
Salman Khan and Aamir Khan displayed perfect chemistry in the laugh riot ‘Andaz Apna Apna’. Then both of them seemed to share cold vibes and they never saw eye to eye with each other. However, ice started melting when Aamir appeared in Salman’s show ‘Dus Ka Dum’ and they also walked the ramp together. Now, after 15 years both of them have decided to work together once again in a flick which both of them will produce and act together. The script of the film is still being finalized and once it is in place, the film will go on floors under the co-production of Aamir Khan Productions and Salman’s brother Sohail Khan’s production house.
Insiders say that Salman and Aamir will have equal footage in the film. The rest of the cast is being finalized and the director will also be on board pretty soon.
Meanwhile, it may be mentioned here that Salman, who is known to shower expensive gifts on his friends, was in for a shock when his dad Salim Khan’s friend Zafar Sareshwala gifted him the luxurious BMW X6. Salman collected his BMW X6 Activity Coupe yesterday in Ahmedabad from Zafar’s Parsoli Motors. The BMW is worth 75 lakhs. That is Wow!!!
