Riteish Deshmukh may not be interested in his father, Vilasrao Deshmukh’s profession but there is someone who has obviously impressed Mr. Deshmukh by her knowledge and interest in politics.
The two met mid air when they found themselves on board on a flight sitting next to each other. The two blended well and spent a nice time discussing things, though not films but real time politics. The petite beauty went on to deliver her knowledge on various social issues and state crisis. She also commented on former CM Deshmukh’s ambition to make Mumbai a world-class city.
Seems Vilasrao was so impressed by Amrita’s interest in ‘Rajneeti’ that he suggested that Amrita should give politics a second thought and could join it in future.

The actor has donned on this new avatar for his forthcoming ‘I hate luv storys’ set to release on July 2 and at present has just seven per cent body fat — the same as top international athletes.
Imran says, “Karan had wanted a certain look for the photo shoot and the bare-chested scene in the film. We had a break for a month as Sonam was shooting for Aisha. I started working out at that time. My trainer Yasmin Karachiwala and I worked out a different diet and exercise regime for those 30 days. My diet consisted only of steamed veg and fish and brown rice.
Three days before the shoot, I cut salt intake in my food as that decreases the water content in the body. A day before the shoot, I completely stopped taking salt. A lot of actors do what I did to tone their body for a film but it’s not healthy. I would work out twice a day.
In the morning, I would do pilates while in the evening, I would do strength training and functional training. I get bored of working out in the gym but I enjoyed functional training which is real life workouts doing stuff we would do in real life. After the shoot, I went to Don Giovanni in Juhu at night and gorged on lasagne.”
Director Punit Malhotra says, “I wanted Imran to pump it up a little more — have a kind of boy-man look. He took the whole month to train for the shoot and had regular workouts with his trainer and followed a strict diet. He was feeling miserable that entire month but the results are worth all that pain.”
Punit comments on Imran’s bare-bodied shot in the flick saying, “He has a bare-chested scene in the film wearing track pants and he’s looking very hot!”
After you had seen Anoushka Sharma as a shy Punjabi girl with her all-covered salwar-kameez in ‘Rab Ne Bana De Jodi’, it comes as a pleasant surprise as the girl switches to chic miniskirts, bikini tops and hot pants in her forthcoming ‘Badmaash Company’ where she stars opposite Shahid Kapoor. If her sexy makeover was not enough, she also has a steamy and passionate kiss with Shahid in the movie.
Though director Parmeet Sethi does admit that he was ‘ a little hesitant initially’ whether Anoushka could carry off the role of a sexy con woman, he is now all praises for the way Anoushka has turned out.
“To be honest, I was a little hesitant. The film did not need a salwar- kameez girl.
But Adi pushed me into meeting her and once I did, I knew I had found my Bulbul
( the name of Anoushka’s character in Badmaash Company ),” says Parmeet.
The film being made under YRF banner is slated to release this May.
Akshaye Khanna, at present, is shooting for Priyadarshan’s ‘Aakrosh’ where he stars along with Ajay Devgan and Bipasha Basu. The movie deals with the serious issue of problems with inter caste marriages in Bihar and other caste system dilemma.
However, his co-stars were in for a shock when Akshay displayed utter unprofessional attitude on the sets as he refused to pose for the schedules photo shoot with Ajay and Bipasha for the reason that his producers had not cleared some of his dues. He kept his co-stars waiting and refused to give in until his payment issues were cleared.
Though Akshay has already done ‘Deewangee’ and ‘Race’ with both of them and is known for his reclusive behaviour and just formal and cordial relations with his co-stars, this kind of unprofessional attitude was something least expected by any one.

Sania-Shoaib’s marriage has been overloaded with controversies and confusion since the time the two got engaged to each other. Even the couple’s reception at Sialkot was not without disturbances as some uninvited guests coupled with security mismanagement forced the two to leave the function before it was over. The reception was hosted by the Maliks and Sania’s family had arrived from India for the celebrations but they had to leave for Lahore early owing to the mismanagement at the function.
Hundreds of people showed up for the reception, many of whom were not invited and some entered without invitation cards. This led to a huge rush at the main entrance and it made life difficult for the security personnel to control the situation. Reports also have it that invitation cards for the wedding reception had been sold by some people for between Rs 5000 to Rs 10,000.

This Mahesh Manjrekar’s flick is titled ‘White’ and deals with the story of an Indian middleclass woman who defies every norm of society.
Manjrekar says, “‘White’ takes the story of the Indian middle class wife, her desires and ambitions much deeper than ‘Astitva’. It is a bolder look at the feelings, dreams and nightmares of an Indian housewife than anything attempted on screen till today.”
Given the powerhouse of talent that Tabu is, we have no doubts that she will carry off the role with ease!!

Though Rajeev Khandelwal and Prachi Desai have made their big leap from small screen to the silver screen, the actors are still hesitant about going bold enough for exposure or hot scenes. So, it came as a dilemma for the director of their forthcoming ‘Main Joker’ when the two refused to do a kissing scene which he had in mind.
So, there seems to be an utter hostile situation at their current shooting location of Madh Island where director Tuli insists on the scene but the two have refused straight away.
An adamant Tuli says, “Yes, I have not been able to pull off the kissing scene which I want, but meanwhile I am shooting some other portions of the film. The kiss comes in a song actually. I am sure Rajeev and Prachi will understand that it is necessary. I still haven’t given up hope. To be frank, I hadn’t told them beforehand that I require them to kiss.”
On her part Prachi says, “I don’t have a no-kissing clause in my contract. Rajeev and I believe in doing whatever is important for the film.”
On the other hand, Rajeev has a more diplomatic answer and says, “I wouldn’t like to override the director, but I have reservations about kissing on screen. I am just not comfortable doing it.”
The financial deals of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is under investigation and as such income tax officials conducted search operations at the offices of the Bengal Cricket Association and Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders this Wednesday and Thursday and the officials have claimed that they have found substantial evidence of illegitimate transactions. The search began at 3 pm on Wednesday at both the board’s office at the Eden Gardens stadium and the premises of Kolkata Knight Riders and its parent Red Chillies Entertainment of actor Shah Rukh Khan at ITC Sonar Bangla and continued till early hours of Thursday.
“We have found incriminating evidence. We will investigate further. We needed to have a look at certain transactions and we’ve found whatever we were looking for,” said Indian Revenue Service Deputy Director Akhilendu Jadhav.
The 10 franchisees under scrutiny are Kochi’s Rendezvous Sports, Pune’s Sahara group, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Deccan Chargers, Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab.
Meanwhile, the promoters of Kings XI Punjab have been summoned by the Chandigarh District magistrate on the 27th of this month. The team is part-owned by actor Preity Zinta. The Registrar of Companies (RoC) in Chandigarh has complained that the team`s promoters are not sharing their balance sheets or details of their accounts.
Boney Kapoor is planning the sequel to his mega hit ‘Mr. India’in a big way with a Rs. 100 crore budget. This sequel will have Salman Khan playing he villain which will surpass the original Amrish Puri’s role in villainy. The movie will be a 3D one with SFX effects and topline technology.
Boney Kapoor intends on leaving no stones unturned for making it big this time. He says, “It’s true that the budget has shot up to Rs100 crore, as I intend to make the sequel in 3D. I’m bringing down technicians from abroad to create Salman’s ‘look’ for ‘Mr.India 2′. It’s something that has never been attempted on this scale before. It’s a big challenge for me to present Salman in negative role. And I’m sure that it’ll be a role that will be remembered for a very long time.”
Since, Sallu Bhai is no longer interested in chocolate boy roles, hope this project gives him a relief after burning fingers with the disaster ‘Veer’.
The volcanic ash has not only crashed the private plans of some of our Bollywood stars but have also given sleepless nights to our prodcers. One such producer is Said Nadiawala whose summer comedy ‘Housefull’ which is set to release this 30th is facing a filemma as the commerical flights have been cancelled and as per release rules the delivery overseas has to be made a week in advance of the release day.
So, Sajid Nadiawala is left with no other option but to hire private jets to take the prints of his movie to England and other European countries.
“This is most unforeseen. In all my years as a producer I’ve never encountered such a a crisis. There’re about a 100 prints to be taken into the Europe. Air traffic has come to a standstill.
I’m hiring private jets to carry the prints to the nearest city with an open air base. From there the prints will be taken to various Euopean cities by train or road. I’m so desperate I’m ready to employ any means of transporation…planes, trains, automobiles, whatever is available,” said Sajid.
Apart from the extra expenditure, Sajid also has other things to worry about. He says, “It doesn’t really matter how much money it would cost. The important thing is to get the prints to the European centres on time. Or else the entire overseas release would be affected.”
Sajid is in no mood to celebrate the completion of his movie ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ and says, “Ranbir Kapoor had a wrap-up party for Anjaana Anjaani. But I wasn’t able to attend because of the these two back-to-back crisis at my workplace. Now I’ll celebrate only when Housefull is released properly everywhere.”
