There is a new addition is sultry Bong beauty Bipasha Basu’s life. Nope, you guessed it wrong. It is not some hot hunk but an ear piercing done by Bips at the behest of her younger sister Vijayeta.
The actress says, “I got my ears pierced on the upper lobes and I love my new piercings! I got inspired by my sister Vijayeta who came back from London with four piercings!”
“I am very scared of even injections so it was a brave and spontaneous decision for me. I got it done at Dr Meena Makheja’s place. My friends, Rocky (the designer) and Binal held my hands through the entire process. Now my ears are almost healed and I am wearing little diamonds for now. I am waiting for them to heal completely so I can sport some cool diamond baalis,” she adds.
However, though Bips loves her new piercing, she has no intentions of getting any more additions. She says, “I have all I want for now and that’s all I want… No more. Even this has to heal fully. It hurts slightly even now when I sleep on my side.”
About beau John’s reactions on her new look, Bipasha is quick to add, “John likes everything I do. He liked the piercing.”
Sanjay Bhansali had always wanted to work with Smita Patil. Though he couldn’t work this out, he will have Smita’s son, Prateik Babbar in his forthcoming production ‘My Friend Pinto’ to be made later this year. The movie is directed by Raghav Dar who served as the associate director on Abbas Tyrewala’s ‘Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane Na’ where Prateik had a captivating cameo. It was then that the two hit off.
Talking about Bhansali, Prateik says, “It’s a privilege to be working with Mr. Bhansali. When I met him I was amazed to find out how normal he is in spite of being an artiste of such a high caliber.”
Earlier it was being said that Shraddha Kapoor (daughter of Shakti Kapoor) would play the lead role opposite Prateik but now there has been a change in the female cast and Kalki Koechlin (Dev D fame) has been zeroed in as the lead actress.
Kalki confirmed the news saying, “Yes, I am doing My Friend Pinto. In fact it was director Raghav Dar’s idea to cast me in the film, and he was the one who initially recommended me to Sanjay.”
She further adds, “Though right now it’s still too early to give out much of the film, we will be starting the shoot schedule by this month end. The film is a comedy, and I liked the script as it was quirky and funny and hence I said yes to it.”
The season for comedy has set it. After the smashing success of ‘Housefull’, comes female centric comedy ‘Hello Darling’ featuring three beautiful women taking over in the corporate world of men while tackling a sexual harassment case. The leading ladies are Gul Panaag, Eesha Koppikhar and Celina Jaitley and others in the star cast include Jaaved Jaffery, Chunky Pandey and Divya Dutta.
The story revolves around three young, beautiful, smart working girls in a fashion designing company in Mumbai, who get trapped by a lusty colleauge Jaaved Jaffery in a weird situation in which all three have to dance to his tune and to please him in his ways. How they orchestrate their own plan to defeat him and his notorious intentions is the baseline of the movie.
The movie has been directed by debut director Manoj Tiwari and written by Pankaj and Sachin. Presented by Malpix Films for Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts Ltd., ‘Hello Darling’ is produced by Ashok Ghai. Other credits include music by Pritam, lyrics by Shabbir Ahmed, Director of Photography Ravi Yadav, Choreographer Remo and Raju Khan.
While its music is set to release on 12th June in Mumbai, ‘Hello Darling’ is expected to come on screens on 9th July 2010.
Director Prakash Jha is a worried man these days as his film, ‘Rajneeti’, has to be screened at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards, starting June 3 in Colombo and he is yet to record a patriotic song. Gulzar has written this song which is titled ‘Dhan Dhan Dharti’ and the lyrics are being composed by the American composer Wayne Sharpe which will be based on the tune for Vande Mataram.
“We’ve just taken the basic core notes of Vande Mataram and then built our own patriotic song almost from scratch,” said Jha adding, “We are not trying to be one-up on any other song. But the idea was to make the song reflective of the collective Indian psyche.”
The Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpai-starrer will have a seven-city global premiere and Dhan dhan dharti will be recorded as soon as the makers find the right male voice for the number.
That ‘Hiss’, the independent co-production between the USA and India, directed by Jennifer Chambers Lynch, will have some very hot and bold scenes from Mallika Sherawat, our desi sex kitten, is stale now. Whats new and fresh is that the movie also has some very hot and sensuous scenes from Divya Dutta, too, as claimed by the makers of the movie. The scenes are far more subtle in appeal but yet too hot to resist.
The movie also has one of the boldest and longest love-making scene between Divya and Irrfan Khan. The scene was shot in Kerala sometime ago. Initially both Irrfan and Divya had reservations about shooting the scene as it was very long and passionate, had to be shot in front of the entire unit and the director had instructed them to remain in that position and not to break the lip-lock until she asked them to do so. Nevertheless, the scene was shot perfectly.
Talking about the scene, Irrfan Khan said, “Yes, we do have a very lengthy and passionate kiss, but it was the requirement of the script. In the film we both go through some crisis and the love-making scene happens after that.”
“We had to shoot the passionate love-making scene in front of the entire unit, it was very embarrassing. We were not allowed to take a break,” he added.

Priyanka Chopra had lost her maternal grandfather this January and just a few months after this, she lost her paternal grandmother this Sunday on 2nd May. The actress was shooting for Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ in Coorg when she got the news and immediately rushed to Delhi. There being no flight out from Coorg, Priyanka had to first drive to Bangalore and then catch a flight to Delhi.
Priyanka posted on her Twitter account earlier today, “Hi guys. Lost my dadi day before. Had to fly in to Delhi urgently.. It’s so tough losing grandparents. First my nana and now dadi. RIP dadi.”
Priyanka also told a close friend, “It’s so strange. The entire family had gathered together in Delhi a month ago when I got the National award. That had made my grandmother so happy. Little did we know it was the last time I’d get to see her.”

Confirming the same, director Farhan Akhtar who is also a part of the film, on Facebook said “The film is not titled ‘Running with the Bulls’. It is still untitled but we will be announcing a title soon. And yes the cast is Hrithik (Roshan), Katrina (Kaif), Abhay (Deol) and myself. The latest addition to it is Kalki Koechlin (Dev D). We start filming in Spain this May through to August. ”
This yet to be titled Hrithik – Katrina film is expected to release in the first half of 2011.

The stars to shine on the ramp were Zeenat, actors Barbara Mori, Zarine Khan, Soha Ali Khan, Amrita Rao, Perizaad Zorabian, Yukta Mookhey, Suchitra Krishnamurthy, Neelam Kothari, Shilpa Shetty, Mugdha Godse, Suchitra Pillai, Tulip Joshi, Isha Koppikar, Jackie Shroff, Shakti Kapoor and Gulshan Grover.
Archana Kochhar designed the clothes titled `Beti`. The designer said, “We have organised this show to generate mass social awareness about the evil practice of female foeticide and thus help the society to ponder over eradicating such a gruesome deed.”
Zeenat Amaan said, “I really believe in the cause, I have been my mother`s daughter, we were really close and I was never brought up to feel that I was anything less than a boy. All opportunities were given to me and I may have two sons but I miss having a daughter and I really do believe in the cause and that`s why I am here.”
“We were walking not for fashion but for a cause and for such a contemporary cause and I say this as a contemporary cause because this problem is going on for ages and it is major threat to all of us but in terms of combating it, in terms of fighting it we have yet to do a lot,” said Amrita Rao.

The crown of India’s most coveted beauty paegent Pantaloons Femina Miss India World 2010 went to the Mumbai beauty Manasvi Mamgai. Last year’s winner Pooja Chopra crowned the beauty who emerged victorious after competing with 18 pretty and intelligent girls. 22-year-old Manasvi also won the titles of Miss Golden Heart and Miss Catwalk. After Manasvi were Neha Hinge from Pune winning the PFMI International 2010 title Bangalore girl Nicole Faria who bagged in the PFMI Earth 2010 title.

Bollywood filmmakers Madhur Bhandarkar and Vipul Shah will crown the Pantaloons Femina Miss India 2010 Bollywood Diva titles to two girls from among the six short-listed contestants on May 16. The winners will be offered a role in their films.
Post ‘Tashan’ and ‘Kurbaan’, the Saifeena couple is geared up for their next project under Saif’s home production titled ‘Agent Vinod’. The movie is a spy thriller and has both Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor playing secret agents. The twist her is that Kareena’s character holds a greyer shade this time.
This slick thriller is directed by Sriram Raghvan and the story portrays a war-like situation in Asia where Bebo works with corporate biggies who hope to cash in on the state of affairs. It later comes out that she is a spy of the Pakistani Government in the end. Kareena will also sport five different looks in the movie using the same prosthetics which gave the different looks to Hrithik in ‘Dhoom 2’.
Kareena had a mixed year in 2009 with two flops as ‘Main aur Mrs. Khanna’ and ‘Kurbaan’ and then the mega blockbuster opposite Aamir Khan in ‘3 Idiots’.
