Her entry in Bollywood was like a cool and refreshing breeze with the fragrance of innocent beauty in it. The blockbuster hits like ‘Kaho Na Pyaar Hai’ (2000) and ‘Gadar – Ek Prem Katha’ (2001) shot Ameesha Patel to fame, but unfortunately the rest was only the way downhill.

Born on June 9th 1976 in Mumbai, India to Amit and Asha Patel, Ameesha turned out to be a brilliant student in Cathedral and John Connon School, and went on to be a graduate in Economics from the Tufts University in Boston, where she won a gold medal.

After initial fame, there came a downslide in Ameesha’s professional and personal front with a series of flops, breakup with Vikram Bhatt and the ugly litigation scandal with her father for mismanaging her accounts.

Ameesha gave an unsuccessful try to revive her sinking career with going for a sexy makeover in ‘Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic’. Now, she has all her hopes pinned on Madhur Bhandarkar’s ‘Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji’.
