Emraan Hashmi’s next venture to hit the screens is ‘Crook Its Good To Be Bad’ where Hashmi plays the guy who has to decide if it is good to be bad or good to be good. Releasing on 8th October, the movie started off with a touching moment which took place with director Mohit Suri in Australia. When Mohit happened to find himself outside a 24-hour convenience store in the Sunshine district of Melbourne (the same spot where the most brutal racist attacks had taken place in Australia), he realized how the seeds of racism were sown deep in every part of the world.
“I was horrified to know how an Indian was brutally beaten up only because of his colour and religion. Outraged and humiliated, I felt the need to voice this as a filmmaker. However, as I left the store my eyes fell upon an ad on the store window which read: ‘Accommodation available for Indian students for Gujarati boys only,” he notes.
This ad was the starting point of Crook It’s Good To Be Bad. “It made me realise that racism and all other social evils are a part of every human heart. It’s our choice to decide is it good to be bad in today’s world or does it pay to be good?”
Adds producer Mahesh Bhatt, “Crook takes an unflinching look at racism which has devastated thousands of young Indians, who go to Australia in search of a better life putting not only all their money but even their lives at stake. The film also locks horns with our own inner demons.”
The movie stars Emraan Hashmi, newbie Neha Sharma and Fashion actor Arjan Bajwa. The musical notes have been directed by Pritam Chakraborty.

Actress Sheena Nayyar is all set for her Bollywood debut with the suspense thriller ‘Mallika’. Following the path of super sexy bombshell Mallika Sherawat, Sheena too has some sizzling scenes in the flick where she stars opposite Sameer Dattani.
The movie, made under the banner of PPC Horrotainment in association with Glorious Entertainment, is directed by Wilson Louis, who is known for making horror thrillers. The movie also stars Himanshu Mallik, Suresh Menon, Rajesh Khera, Arjun Mahajan, and Pooja Ballutia. The flick is all set to hit the screens on 3rd September 2010.
Sheena plays the role of Sanjana who is an arrogant and pricey girl coming from a rich background. Sanjana is haunted by nightmares and vivid visions of a murder that took place in the house years before she moved in. She has a special gift or rather a curse to see the unseen… to witness the dark past of any place she inhabits. Sameer Dattani plays Saahil, a creative director at an Ad agency and a keen violinist.

‘Khatta Meetha’ may not have given a push to the Bollywood career of South Indian actress Trisha Krishnan, but the actress has other reasons to worry these days. She is upset and raged with her name being dragged in a drug scandal and thinks it’s an attempt to tarnish her image. Stirs were created when a Telugu channel allegedly aired a report which linked Trisha with Sidney Sladen, a designer of African origin, who is reportedly being cited as a Nigerian drug peddler.
A fuming Trisha quotes, ‘It’s very strange. I was shooting in Kodaikanal when this Telugu news channel put this news out. And they put a still of me and this very dear friend of mine who’s Afro-American. They assumed that this fashion-designer friend of mine was some drug peddler from Nigera.”
“I was angry. This is not just a harmless rumour. The first thing I did was to get my lawyer to issue statements to all the TV channels. I’ve taken legal action against the channel which put this out. There is not an element of truth in it. It’s strange where this story came from. I haven’t been to Hyderabad for a year now. I was told this peddler knows my number. But come on, everyone knows my number,” adds the actress.
However, taking the issue in a practical note, she said, “The only problem is you can’t pinpoint such a thing to any one source. But yes, it seems to have been done to tarnish my image. Luckily I’ve got a lot of support in Hyderabad even from the authorities.”

Hema Malini’s daughter is all upset and raged with filmmaker Ramgopal Verma who has failed to clear his dues to the actress for his box-office dud ‘Darling’ despite repeated reminders from Esha. The actress had also filed a complaint about a year back for the clearance of her dues which amount to nearly Rs.13 lakh but the filmmaker even did not bother to reply to the letters from the association. After some time, the case was taken to the Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE), which has termed the case as a ‘Non Cooperation Matter’.
Tired of waiting, now Esha has lodged a complaint against RGV in the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA). This fact has been confirmed by Dharmesh Tiwari, the President of FWICE and General Secretary of CINTAA.
Verma, on the other hand, has a different tale to state. He said that it is a very old issue, which has been solved as per his knowledge.
The producer of the movie, Bhushan Kumar, said that he had paid a huge amount to RGV for the concerned movie and the actors were supposed to be paid from that and they have no contract with Esha.

Ameesha Patel is going through a not so great phase of her life. She lost her maternal grandmother on Thursday. The actress was quite close to her and her loss hit her hard. However, not the one to let her personal problems affect her personal front, she reported at her shooting schedule for a Telugu film in Hyderabad, but unable to take the strain of grief, devastation, heat, dust and work load, she collapsed on the sets and had to be rushed to a hospital where she was put on intravenous drip. Her mother Asha Patel immediately left from Mumbai to be with her and take care of her.
Brother Ashmit Patel confirms saying, “Yes Ameesha was hospitalised. I think the stress of losing our grandma a few days back and the heat and dust at her shoot in Hyderabad took a toll on her. Also, there’s a round of very strong viral infection doing the rounds in the city. Fortunately my mom is around to take care of her. In fact she has almost recovered and is on her way to resume shooting.”

Delicate beauty Priyanka Chopra is determined to prove that when it comes to doing her job, she is nowhere less compared to stuntman Akshay Kumar who made his mark as the stern and strict host for the two seasons of ‘Fear Factor’
News floating in from the beaches of Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro confirms her intentions. The actress had claimed that she would make the contestants hate her with her instructions and that is what she is exactly been doing in the first batch of stunts with the 13 contestants who are made to work relentlessly without being given time to rest or chill out. She begins her grueling schedule right from 7.30 am every morning with a very close and careful briefing by the stunt director to make sure no one breaks any bones on location. The exhaustive schedule stretches right upto the evening and only then she loosens up.
One of the exhausted contestants rightly said, “She carries not a whip, but a whistle which is as good as whip. The whistle is with her throughout from 7.30 am in the morning till late evening when we pack up. And she uses the whistle to intimidate us like no other woman in our lives has ever intimidated us.”
In fact the contestants are so fed up of the whistle that they plan to steal it and throw it into the ocean. Priyanka on the other hand stays unmoved and said, “We are not here for a picnic. It’s a tough regimen.”

Actors often complain that losing privacy is the price they pay for their stardom and the advent of cell phones has made them even more vulnerable to fans invading their privacy. So much so that even, Khiladi Kumar, known to be one of the most patient actos in the tinsel town, lost his temper when one of his fans continued clicking snaps with his cell camera despite the actor warning him not to do so.
This Sunday night, Akshay was at a five-star hotel with wife Twinkle. After the couple left the hotel and was stepping into their car, a fan came forward and started taking their pictures on his cell phone. Seeing his wife uncomfortable at being clicked without permission, Akshay asked the person to stop doing so, but the man continued and the angry star walked upto the man, snatched his phone from his hand and threw it on the ground, then crushed it to pieces under his foot. Leaving the cell phone owner stunned, he drove off into his car.
However, sources close to Akshay deny that he lost his temper and told that all that happened was Akshay asking the person politely to take permission before clicking someone and there was no such thing as the phone being broken or so.
Akshay Kumar is very particular about his pictures and he always poses for pictures whenever his fans ask him to do so. He finds it rude when people take pictures when he is dining at a restaurant.

It seems that reality shows have gone down well with drama queen Rakhi Sawant. After ‘Big Boss’, ‘Rakhi Ka Swayamvar’, ‘Zara Nachke Dikha’, ‘Pati, Patni Aur Who’, ‘Desi Girl’ and ‘Raaz Pichle Janam Ka’, she is ready with yet another reality show, this time with a difference thought.
The show conceptualized by Imagine TV will be dealing with social issues, with out any legal involvements in it. Murder, robbery, drugs or extra-marital affairs — whatever the problems, item girl Rakhi Sawant – who has a knack for getting into controversies – will now be seen solving problems on ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’.
Talking about the show and on choosing Rakhi Sawant to be an integral part of it, the producer of the show Moti Sagar says, “I always wanted a girl to be a part of this show, one who has faced the problems in reality. In my opinion, who has been through hard time, is the one who can do justice to the people who come on the show, and nobody fits the bill perfectly other than Rakhi.”
Rakhi commented, “Even though no one takes me seriously regarding my passion for social work, but through this show, people will get a chance to know me. I will only support the truth, be it a girl or boy, I will make sure my judgments are unbiased. Whatever decisions will be made, will be ‘dil se’( from heart), just as the title of the show says ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf… Dil se’.
‘The moment I was offered this show, I was extremely excited. I was told it is nothing like what I have done before. I always wanted a show where I could come face-to-face with aam janta (common man). This show will help me in solving their problems in my unique style,’ she said adding, “Mujhe kanooni daav pech nahi aate (I don’t know legal terminology) but I know how to think from my heart. I will not provide any legal assistance to anyone, but I will listen to their problems and give the best solution that I can.”
The big mouthed Rakhi even compares her show to Kiran Bedi’s ‘Aap Ki Kachehri’ on Star Plus. ‘I respect Kiran Bediji a lot, so please don’t compare my show with her’s. I have no knowledge about legal procedures. This show is like my social service,’ she said.
Now, this one is just too far-fetched Rakhi!!!

Actresses getting trapped in MMS scandals are very common in Bollywood. The latest MMS painting the gossip columns red is one involving Soha Ali Khan which was apparently shot without her knowledge during her routine waxing session in a salon.
Rumors have it that the hidden camera in the salon caught her without her clothes on as a salon attendant waxed her body including the bikini area. Rumors doing rounds is that the MMS clip is in great demand and available for anywhere between $20 to $30. It appears that a “leading” website (unnamed in every website and online report) shot this video in association with the salon.
However, our fruitless journey through several dead links only reveals that the entire episode is absolutely an effort to gain hits and to mar the actress’ reputation. Soha remained unavailable for comment.
