One of the most awaited films this year is Farah Khan’s ‘Tees Maar Khan’ set to release on 24th December starring Akshay Kumar, Akshaye Khanna, Katrina Kaif, Raghu Ram, Rajiv Laxman, Arya Babbar, and Anil Kapoor. Akshay plays the role of Tabrez Mirza Khan, Katrina portrays Anya and Akshaye Khanna plays Atish Kapoor. The movie’s soundtrack has been composed by Vishal-Shekhar and lyrics are written by Javed Akhtar.
The story revolves around a criminal who cons and steals fearlessly and shamelessly. He is an international criminal and his gang comprising of Dollar, Soda and Burger. The story takes a gripping turn when international antique smugglers, the Johri Brothers, assign Tees Maar Khan the task of robbing antiques worth 500 crore rupees from a heavily guarded moving train.
The special attraction of the film is the item song by Salman Khan and her off and on love Katrina Kaif.
Seems marriage is working out very well for Eesha Koppikar who was overwhelmed when her husband Timmy Narang pampered her with a surprise theme party and a luxury car on her birthday.
Talking about her birthday gift, an elated Eesha said, “Though I love cars I am very simple where my tastes are concerned. Timmy decided to pamper me by gifting me a 7 series BMW.
When I woke up in the morning, it was all packaged and ribboned in the driveway. I thought the car was for him and even remarked ‘That’s a nice car!’ That’s when Timmy told me it was for me. I was stunned!”
She chuckles as she adds on to describe her birthday party, “The party was at Narang House with over 200 people attending. The theme was gothic with a vampire overtone. I wore a vintage black dress with black beads and a cross while Timmy wore black lipstick.
We decorated the room with illuminated crosses, creepers, coffins, candles and blue lights while the dance floor was lit up with neon lights so when we flashed our teeth they looked green. I called it my ‘spooktacular party!” Even the food and beverages were in sync with the theme.”
Well, for those who still want to see the actress’ magic on screen, there is a good news as the actress goes on to say, “I cut down on films when I got married. I decided to take a sabbatical. I wanted to enjoy my marriage but now I am reading scripts and hearing narrations. ”

Seems gowns are turning out to be a nuisance for Bollywood beauties making them trip on the ramp with their flow. While Sridevi tripping on the ramp thrice for Neeta Lulla has not faded from the news archives, Sonakshi Sinha adds one more trail to the tripping spree as she walked onto the ramp with a golden gown wear as the showstopper for the designer Gavin C Miguel.
The gown, which had intricate and delicate embroideries, was supposed to be pulled up by Sonakshi after three steps to climb down the stairs but the actress missed the part and ended up tripping on her outfit. Sonakshi was extremely upset but when the audience offered its support by cheering and applauding the actress, she composed herself and finished the walked but did not come back on the stage with the designer as is done by the showstopper.
Zayed Khan, who was also present at the event as the show-stopper for Vikram Phadnis said, “It’s really sad that Sonakshi fell. But I love stunts and if I had tripped, I would have made it into a quick action act.”
Well, this is just the start for the pretty newcomer. There will be a lot of trips before she finally reaches the top slot in Bollywood!!
‘Big Boss 4’ has had its share of speculations, guesses and showdown of celebrities moving in and out of the Big Boss house. After much hullaboo of the host for the show’s fourth host finally zeroing in on Salman Khan, the other contestants have also been finalized. Interestingly, the contestants include some of the women with whom Salman has been associated in past including his ex Sangeeta Bijlani and Salman’s discovery and Aishwarya Rai’s look alike Sneha Ullal. Other contestants whose names are almost final now include Jackie Shroff, Rahul Mahajan’s wife Dimply Ganguly Mahajan, Rajesh Khanna, Avika Gor, Sara Khan, Chunky Pandey, Shaan, Shiney Ahuja, former bar dancer Tarannum, Simone Singh, Manoj Tiwari, and few more names. The contestants will enter the Bigg Boss house on 2nd of October which will be a live telecast from Lonavala (Ambey Valley), from 9 PM to 10 PM.
The big hype caused by Neetu Chndra and Veena Malik coming face to face in ‘Big Boss 4’ finally dies down after Neetu says no to the offer preferring to be the lead in a big budgeted South film instead. Neetu has now been signed by Tamil director Ameer Sultan to play the lead in his next, titled ‘Aadhi Bhagavan’ opposite southern superstar Jayam Ravi. Sultan is a big shot in Kollywood after giving three award-winning jubilee hits to the Tamil industry is a row.
“Though the Bigg Boss offer was lucrative and tempting, Neetu won’t be able to participate as she has to leave for Ameer Sultan’s shoot in Pattaya (Thailand) this week,” her publicist Dale Bhagwagar said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Neetu has been taking lessons in Tamil language for the film. Every day, the Bollywood babe takes a two hour class in Tamil to learn new words, to construct sentences and improvise diction.

Urvashi Sharma made her presence felt in ‘Khatta Meetha’ despite the fact that she was not the main lead of the film. With the fact that lead roles are not falling into her lap these days, the actress is happy with the fact that she has a special song and dance appearance in ‘Aakrosh’ which, Urvashi says, is not ‘an item song’ but a situational track that takes the narrative forward. This number voiced by Shreya Ghoshal is a celebration track about a group of friends having fun with the bride-to-be and preparing her for what lies ahead in life.
“Yes, this is for the first time that I would be seen in a ‘ghaghra-choli’. I had some real good fun shooting for the song, more so because it is such an integral part of the film. Otherwise typically when a song is just placed in the film for an item appearance, it sometimes stands out like a sore thumb. Thankfully, this is not the case in Sasural Munia”, adds Sharma. shi who had made her debut in the thriller NAQAAB.
Bollywood queen and former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has three promising releases this year, ‘Robot’, Action Replayy’ and ‘Guzaarish’. Among these Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’ has high expectation quotient with Ash pairing with Hrithik Roshan with whom she has delivered two megahits in ‘Dhoom’ and ‘Jodha Akbar’. It narrates the story of Ethan (Hrithik), who is suffering from limb paralysis and his relationship with his caretaker and married nurse, Sophie (Aishwarya).
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all praise for Aishwarya and Hrithik. He said, “I want to thank Aishwarya. She’s my jaan. I get terrible excited when I make a film with her. She’s very very special. And I have never enjoyed with any other actor as I have with Hrithik just for the talent he has and for the kind of person he is.”
The actors too are more than overwhelmed to be associated with the project. “GUZAARISH is more than a film to me. It’s a manifestation of one man’s vision and that is Sanja Leela Bhansali. It has changed my prospective on the world. It has affected my life. 30 or 40 years from now I will look back and smile because I had the opportunity to do this film. Some films are made for commercial reasons and some must be made for the world to see and that’s the kind of film GUZAARISH is,” said Hrithik.
Talking about her career graph rising even after marriage, Aishwarya said, I’m so blessed. It’s so wonderful that my faith has been kept in the professionals that I have worked with. Directors like Shankar, Mani Ratnam and Sanjay Leela Bhansali came to me with scripts. They didn’t say ‘Now you are married. What should we do with your role?’ None of the directors thought that.”

Director Karan Johar is known for his light romantic movies and family drama. Now, the director is all set to venture into the new territory of action film to fulfil his late dad’s wish to go for the remake of blockbuster ‘Agneepath’.
And guess who is going to play the legendary character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan which was originally played by Amitabh Bachchan? It is none other than the flambuoyant Hrithik Roshan.
KJo says, “By remaking this film, I will be living up to a promise I made to my father. Amit uncle’s version had one of his finest performances, he even won the National Award for it. The movie is the quintessential underworld film that has become a point of reference for several filmmakers. Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, the character that Amit uncle played, is etched in everyone’s memory. My father (Yash Johar) often wondered why this film didn’t get the kind of commercial success it should have. He constantly told me, ‘Karan, we must remake “Agneepath.’” Somehow, I couldn’t see myself directing the remake. But when my assistant Karan Malhotra, who was my backbone during ” My Name Is Khan”, said he would like to revisit this subject and recreate the magic, I instantly agreed to produce it.”
The remake will definitely come with some changes. The character of Krishnan Iyer MA, played by Mithun Chakraborty, will be done away with. Though it has not been confirmed, but rumors have it that Priyanka Chopra will play Hrithik’s love interest and Nana Patekar will play the role of Kancha-cheena made famous by Danny Denzongpa.
However, Karan refuses to confirm the rest of the star cast. “At this point, we have Hrithik on board for Amit uncle’s role. I will announce the other names shortly,” he says, and adds, “Duggu has heard the script and he loved it. He is as thrilled about this film as Karan (Malhotra) and I are.”
Well, there has been no dearth of glamour and beauty in Lakme Fashion Week 2010 with Bollywood beauties sashaying down the ramp for ace designers. It came as a refreshing change when picture perfect Sridevi mesmerized everyone as she came as the showstopper for Neeta Lulla’s 25th year in silver-grey gown. Though Sri was glad at the experience, she was equally nervous as she saved herself from tripping twice on the ramp.
Asked about Sridevi’s nervousness, Lulla said: “As far as I think, it happens sometimes when you walk the ramp after a long time. It was fantastic that on my 25th anniversary Sridevi walked the ramp and so many people actually made it to the show,” she said.
Sridevi too admitted that walking on the ramp was hard for her. “It was great but at the same time very hard for me,” she said.
The excitement was no less when hot and happening Sonakshi Sinha who was seen in a demure avatar in ‘Dabangg’ with her sarees came out on the ramp with killer denim jeans and frilly top, coupled with a hat at the show of Narendra Kumar, fondly called Nari’s association, with clothing brand Killer.
The one time designer, Sonakshi was completely at ease as she even broke into a slight dance enjoying the music. Talking about her stint in fashion designing, the actress said, “That unfortunately has taken a back seat. Designing is a very demanding job and so is acting, so if I try doing both, I will be nowhere, better I stick to one.
“My mom really wants me to launch a brand, but nothing anytime soon. I have studied it, invested so much of time. No education goes waste, so definitely sometime in future.”
