The first look poster of the supernatural thriller ‘A strange Love Story’ was unveiled by the cast and crew as they wrapped up the shoot of the film at Kamalistan Studio in Mumbai. The movie which stars Eddie Seth, Riya Sen, Ashutosh Rana, Yashpal Sharma and Milind Gunaji is directed by Tarique Khan and produced by Suresh Bhagat of Crystal Films.
“I am very excited about this project and I am looking forward to the final outcome. Based on the narration given to me by Tarique, it has chilled me to the bones. Although this is his debut directorial venture, I too am debuting with this movie, and he has already shown a lot of trusts into me,” Eddie said.

The chirpy, bubbly and beautiful actress Shruti Seth who has done some films like ‘Fanaa’, ‘Ta Ra Rum Pum’, ‘Jhoom Barabar Jhoom’ and ‘Rajneeti’ besides doing a number of roles on the smaller screen is all excited about her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘My Friend Pinto’ where she will be seen in an avatar different from the naïve and girl-next-door roles she has played earlier. She plays a very mean and nasty character in the film which has almost completed its shoot.
Shruti has also a lot goin on in her personal life with marriage on her cards this November to Danish Aslam who is currently directing ‘Break Ke Baad’ starring Imran Khan and Deepika Padukone.
Talking excitedly about her marriage, Shruti says, “It’s going to happen this November and I’m really excited about it, I’m glad that this year is going to be good for a chance to do very exciting work.” She will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film ‘My Friend Pinto’ in which she plays a very mean and nasty character.
The shoot of ‘My Friend Pinto’ has come to an end, almost two more weeks are left, so after that I will have time only for my wedding.”

Dibakar Banerjee (Love, Sex Aur Dhokha fame) has no qualms about Imran Khan opting out of his next venture ‘Shanghai’ which has now been re-written as for Abhay Deol who has now been finalized for the lead role in the film.
Dibakar said, “Imran said no to Shanghai. That’s when me and writer Urmi Juvekar decided to change the character. With Imran out the script suddenly became more gritty. The protagonist’s character was naïve and innocent when Imran was to play him. Now he’s not that innocent.”
Talking about Abhay, Dibakar says, “When an actor evolves the project too changes.
When I did Oye Lucky Lucky Oye with Abhay that was a different actor. Today after Dev D (for Abhay) and Love Sex Aur Dhokha (for Dibakar) we’re both in a different zone creatively. ”
The film also has a strong role for the female protagonist and Dibakar wanted Katrina for the role, but unfortunately Katrina too won’t be a part of the part. Also, though titled ‘Shanghai’, ironically the film won’t be shot there.
Dibakar explains, “Let me add we’re making it on a tight budget of Rs 12 crores with no frills. Shanghai is not an extravaganza. And it certainly won’t be shot in China. The title describes a mindset. Beyond that I wouldn’t like to reveal the plot. ”
The film will be produced by PVR.
Strange is the tinsel town and stranger are the stories which revolve around the stars. When Shiney Ahuja’s sensational rape case, hit the media, it sent stirs across the entire nation and just when we thought that the news had lost its interest with ‘janta’ after comfortably ruining the actor’s career, there comes another twist in the case stunning the nation once again.
The maid who had earlier accused Shiney of raping her has now backtracked from her statement saying that the incident never occurred. Standing before the court on September 3, the 20-year old maid said that she was never raped by Shiney and that she had filed the complaint against the actor at the behest of the woman who had secured her the job of a maid in Ahuja’s residence.
“On September 3, the victim identified Shiney in the court and said she used to work at his residence as a domestic help. But when asked about the incident she said it never happened and that she was never raped,” public prosecutor Kashinath Dighe said.
The court has declared her hostile after hearing to her verdict and she may be punished for perjury if the court deems fit. However, the statements of 12 other witnesses, forensic reports and other documentary evidence are yet to be presented.
It may be mentioned here that Shiney has been charged with rape and wrongfully confining the victim. He faces a maximum punishment of ten years if convicted.
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may be a global icon but she values her family and privacy more than anything else. Aishwarya respects her privacy so much that she reportedly turned down a million-dollar deal by a Hollywood studio which offered to make a documentary on her life. They wanted to have a foreign crew follow her around for a week to get a glimpse of her personal life.
The said Hollywood studio tried to persuade Aishwarya a lot but she kept firm on her decision. She denied the offer politely saying that she would never want anyone to shoot at her home disturbing the privacy of the family.

Mallika Sherawat is trying everything under the sun to make her much awaited film ‘Hisss’ a big news. First, she shifted to Los Angeles, then she posted her topless pics on Twitter and went on to walk the Cannes Red Carpet in a snake inspired outfit. Now, this is the next one from the sexy bombshell. She has just recorded two songs for the film before he left for Mumbai to start her shooting schedule for ‘Double Dhamaal’. The songs have been sung by her in the sexy style of French actress Brigitte Bardot’s legendary collaborations with musician Serge Gainsbourg.
Out of the two songs, the first is composed and arranged by Julian Lennon, son of John Lennon from the iconic rock band The Beatles. The second track recorded is arranged by German composer Alexander Von Bubenheim, who provided the background score for ‘Hisss’.
The music of the film will be launched in mid-September at a big event in Mumbai. Venus Records and Tapes will be releasing the songs for digital and mobile downloads including iTunes in the coming weeks.

His directorial debut ‘We Are Family’ is getting kudos for its direction and elated at this success, Siddharth Malhotra has already started getting things together for his next film which will be a family comedy starring yesteryear superstar Rishi Kapoor. As an icing to the cake, Rishi’s niece and Bollywood’s style diva Kareena Kapoor is being considered to play the role of the daughter for this movie which happens to be based on father-daughter relationship.
Being impressed by Kajol’s performance in his first venture, Siddharth wanted to take Kajol in his next venture, but this would not be possible because of Kajol’s pregnancy. So, he has decided to complete this family comedy first and then go on to his next film which he has written with Kajol in his mind does not want to cast anyone else in her place.
Siddharth also wants to cast Shahid Kapoor opposite Kareena with whom he developed great bonds as the Associate Director of Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Vivah’ and since then they have been close to each other. The director assures that if given a chance he can present Shahid in a way no one else has done before, but at the same time he would respect Shahid’s choice and judgement.

Freida Pinto oozes style and sensuality once again, this time on the pages of Instyle’s September issue, which has Hilary Swank on the cover. Freida looks stunning as ever attired in designs from Dolce and Gabbana, Oscar de la Renta and Valentino. The issue has Freida talk about her style and preferences. She praises Oscar saying, “I am a big fan of his. He designed the dress I wore to BAFTA awards in London. Everything he makes is so beautiful. It’s all very ladylike. I love it.”
Freida owns what she calls her “girlie girl” wardrobe which has collections from London’s Topshop, Bombay’s dressmaking studios and New York’s countless shoe stroes. “I have big feet!” she says “It was hard to find shoes that fit size 12 in India, but here they have everything.”
Freida’s latest projects are Woody Allen’s “You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger”, a comedy she filmed in London opposite Josh Brolin. She has also played a young Palestinian student in a refugee camp in Julian Schnabel’s Miral, filmed on location in Tel Aviv.

It was all excitement and going down the memory lanes as the cast and crew of ‘Double Dhamaal’ came together for the launch of the movie at the Mehboob Studio this Wednesday. The original cast of the movie remains the same with Riteish Deshmukh, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey and Aashish Chaudhary and actresses Kangana Ranaut and Mallika Sherawat being the additions.
Actors Aamir Khan and Anil Kapoor, too, graced the event of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s ‘Double Dhamaal’ launch getting all too emotional and carried away.
“Anil and I have very fond memories working with Indra and Ashok. As an actor, I have done three films with Indu. We wish all the very best to the whole team and I am looking forward to a highly entertaining film,” Aamir told reporters.
Anil Kapoor said, “Indra and Ashok are like my brothers. They are in the field since I started my career. The first film I did with them was Mohabbat. The mahurat was also in Mehboob Studio.”
Aamir Khan had teamed with Thakeria and Kumar in ‘Dil’ and ‘Mann’ where as Anil has worked with them in the super hit ‘Beta’.
There is no denying the fact that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is a global icon and whatever she does on-screen or off-screen has a major impact on her fan following and the film makers too are aware of this fact.
So, much so that the makers of Guzaarish moved back from their decision to launch the first trailer of ‘Guzaarish’ from being launched with the promos of ‘We Are Family’. The reason was that the trailer has a scene which shows Ash’s character, which happens to be a nurse, trying to puff away. So, the trailer has now been withdrawn from ‘We Are Family’ and will feature in theatres a month later with Siddharth Anand’s ‘Anjaana Anjaani’.
However, the makers of the film have a different story to tell. They clarify that the sequence has no negativity in it and is rather a very cute, funny and a very beautiful sequence where Ash is trying to smoke when she doesn’t know how to.
The reason that has been cited by them for the postponement of the Guzaarish trailer is that there is still quite some time before Guzaarish releases and so there is no need to hurry up with the promos.
Siddharth Roy Kapoor of UTV (co-producers and distributors of Guzaarish) adds, “There are a lot of smoking scenes in a lot of movies. I really don’t see any trouble.”
Since, The Bachchan Bahu has never done a smoking scene for any film as yet, the reaction it will generate is definitely one to be watched out for. What say pals…..
