They made a cute pair in the movie ‘Chance Pe Dance’. Now, they are set to team up once again to endorse a toothpaste brand. Talking about Shahid and Genelia, the two have come together for the first time for a commercial of Colgate toothpaste.
Genelia’s bubbly and chirpy smile has always made people feel that she would make an apt choice for a toothpaste endprsement. The actress tweeted on her profile, “Loads of ppl alwys thought n mst often insisted dat I shud hv bn d face of Colgate n yes, I am d new brand ambassador 4 Colgate n proudly so.”
The ad will feature Shahid and Genelia along with many cricketers of Indian Cricket team namely, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Zaheer Khan. As such, now the two will stand against SRK himself, who endorses the rival brand, Pepsodent.

Bipasha Basu joined in the social networking site, Twitter, late but it seems that she has put her foot in trouble. She was accused of promoting child labour when she posted a pic of hers showing two little girls tying her shoe laces. The pic read, “I need to learn to tie shoe laces ASAP! Embarrassed that I can`t! No patience grrrrr! Promise I am not spoilt! Will learn soon”.
The pic immediately sparked extreme reactions. A follower of her wrote, “Bipasha should be arrested for this act. Only then these film studios will not do any child labour”. Another one posted:, “Disgraceful Bips – cannot believe you are dumb enough to add this photo on Twitter!”
Bipasha immediately deleted the pic from her Twitter page and wrote: “Well, the people helping me in the pics are my friend and sister, who I help often with the same! So am sorry if it hurt anyone’s sentiments!”
She later added, “About the pic, the pair of boots were a different pair so my sis and my friend were helping me and I thought it looked damn funny n took d pic as a joke!…A pic put 4 fun gets picked up by people as `child labour` is absolutely unbelievable. Just so that all get it right: neither of the two are children!…Also `child labour` is a serious issue that can`t be used in such a light connotation,” she wrote in a number of tweets.
“I wish that the ones who created such a furore n reacted immensely, actually do something worthy against child labour,” she wrote.
‘Dabangg’ star Salman Khan recently proved that he is indeed ‘Dabangg’ when he performed a daredevil stunt in PepsiCo`s new Mountain Dew ad, thus proving that he was indeed the apt celebrity choice by the brand. He jumped off from 10,000 feet in a “wingsuit” from which a parachute springs open. The 45-second TV commercial will air from Friday and a 60-second commercial will be shown in theatres.
“Everyone is afraid of something or the other at some point of his or her life. But if you try to run away from fear, you`d be tired and eventually fear will win. So the best way to overcome fear is to face it, run through it because `Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai`,” Salman said in a statement.
Alpana Titus, category marketing director (flavoured carbonated drinks), PepsiCo India Beverages, says, “Salman has jumped from a mountain which was 10,000 feet high. He did have jitters initially but was confident it would work out well and he would be able to overcome his fears in turn,” she said.
“Salman was our first choice because he embodies our (Mountain Dew`s) tagline `Darr Ke Aage Jeet Hai` accurately and he also has a nationwide fan following. People in not only the metros but also the remote areas follow him,” she added.
Zarine Khan shot to limelight as Salman Khan’s discovery in ‘Veer’ and because of her apparent similarity in looks to Salman’s love interest Katrina Kaif. It seems that Salman has not forgotten the Kat-look-alike and is making all possible efforts to keep Zarine’s career going. He has convinced director Anees Bazmee, who is directing ‘Ready’ to rope in Zarine for a guest appearance in the film. In the movie Zarine will be seen with Arbaaz Khan in a brief role. During the weekend, Arbaaz and Zarine flew down to Bangkok to shoot the film.
In Pattaya, Salman Khan shot impressive stunts while driving a tuk-tuk in the narrow streets, in line with Hollywood actor Pierce Brosnan’s fast-paced ad in the ubiquitous Thai rickshaw. The scene shows two tuk-tuks blowing up and the actor jumping into another one and driving off.
Producer Bhushan says, “It was bhai’s (Salman) idea to shoot in a tuk tuk. Unlike the two and three-wheeler vehicles in India, the tuk tuks are very fast and powerful. Their drivers too are experts and can ride them as two- wheelers also. People have shot romantic songs or scenes perhaps, but such a high-voltage action sequence will be seen for the first time in ready. People will enjoy this unique Thai action.”
Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’ on Imagine TV is showing some real action-packed water sports games where celebrities are battling out with each other. One of the contestants on the show is Mink Brar, who, after three weeks on the show, claims to have lost six kilos.
Mink grew up in Germany and stepped into Bollywood with ‘Pyar Ka Tarana’ (2003). She was then seen in few films like ‘Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain’ and ‘Saat Rang Ke Sapne’. She then did a music album – ‘Ghoongat Remix’ and also launched a production house Bro & Sis Productions with her brother, Punnu.
As for the reality shows on smaller screen, Mink did a dancing show, Dancing Queen on Colors, where she was a mentor. She was also one of the contestants of the 2009 adventure reality show, “Sarkaar Ki Duniya” on Real TV channel but was eliminited early.

In the film she plays one of the ladies whom the protagonist (Ranveer Singh) flirts with. The movie’s leading lady, however, will be Anushka Sharma.

Sonakshi Sinha made a marvelous debut with ‘Dabangg’ opposite Salman Khan and impressed everyone with her charms and talent. So much so, that veteran actor Kamal Hassan decided to cast her in his next project.
The 56 year old Southern superstar is working on his next project which is based on 2001′s ‘Hannibal’, starring Sir Anthony Hopkins and Julianne Moore. The movie is to be directed by Selvaraghavan and will be made in Tamil. However, the makers have a plan to dub it into Hindi and Telugu as well.
Selvaraghavan is planning to meet Sonakshi soon to discuss the script with her and get her affirmative nod.
Rohit Shetty is set on making the remake of ‘Singham’ which had been a huge hit down South. He has already finalized Ajay Devgan for the male lead and wanted Anushka Shetty to play Ajay’s love interest because she was in the original film with Sooriya.
However, when Anushka was offered the film, she reportedly demanded Rs 1.5 crore. Not to mention here that Rohit did not entertain her high demands and she had to let go this golden opportunity for a break in Bollywood.
Anushka has now been replaced by Kajal Agarwal, a popular name in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada who gathered a huge fan following after her performance as Yuvarani Mitravinda Devi in Magadheera.

Priyanka Chopra is undoubtedly one of the reigning actresses in Bollywood now and given the way she has maturely handled the challenging character in her latest release ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ she has all reasons to be beaming and gleaming these days.
However, success comes with its own price. While promoting the film at a press meet, Priyanka was accused by a Delhi resident for not being a true Punjabi. Though Priyanka was taken aback by the accusation, she tried to laughed it off saying she is very much a Punjabi. But the man kept on questioning her sincerity for Punjab and went on to say that she had done nothing for Punjab or Punjabis. Priyanka, finally, ended having a heated argument with him, told him to shut up and leave.
Priyanka’s father Ashok Chopra is a Punjabi while her mother belongs to Jharkhand. Having spent her childhood in Uttar Pradesh, PC does not have much connection with the state of Punjab.
