A mishap with fire took place while shooting an aarti scene for Karan Johar Productions’ next ‘Agneepath’ starring Hrithik Roshan and Priyanka Chopra. While Hrithik faced minor burns, Priyanka did not suffer any burns but her lehenga caught fire and had to be changed.
The scene was based on Ganapati Puja where Hrithik was holding a big thali with several lit diyas (lamps) and doing the aarti. During one rotation, one diya toppled over, spilling hot oil on his hand, thus causing mild burn. Hrithik immediately applied ice on the affected area and the shooting was immediately stopped. Shooting was resumed as soon as his pain subsided. Hrithik took the entire incident in a stride. In fact, he later joked about his injuries being lucky charms for his films.
Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel’s career as a heroine does not seem to be going great guns now. So, now the actress has stepped into the field of production along with her friend Kunal Goomer. This Saturday, she launched her production house called ‘Patel Productions’ in Mumbai. Speaking at the event, Ameesha clarified that it would not be obligatory for her to feature in the films of her production house. She also added that her production house was soon going to announce what movie projects they would start with.
She is even all set to hire a team of talented directors for her production house.

Chitrangda Singh has always been hailed by the critics as a very talented actor and the pretty lady has taken up yet another challenge in her career. She is playing the female villain in the sequel for ‘Krrish’ and is undergoing strict physical training for her role. Though Chitrangada owns a very good physique, doing stunts and actions along with martial arts is something she is not comfortable with.
She has been attending action and fight classes with experts after being suggested by her co-star Hrithik Roshan for it. She was recently in Hong Kong and then China for the same and admits that it was a rigorous experience.
Chitrangada plays the role of a glamorous mutant seductress and needs to use some of the fighting styles like Taekwondo and kickboxing in her role.
Says the actress, “I’m back from my action workshop where I was getting trained by experts. I did a lot of training on ropes, harnesses and even did a little bit of kick boxing.”

Our space informed you about the birth of a baby boy to actors Ranvir Shorey and Konkona Sen Sharma. The baby is now a month old and Ranvir posted a picture of himself with his son, whom they have named Haroon, on the social networking site, Twitter.
Striking a very uncommon pose for the pic, Ranvir says, “Here’s a photo of Haroon and me taken in true Indian tradition!
He adds, “Babies are dew drops that grow up to be rivers. Like you and me.”

It is official now…. Anurag Kashyap, who directed the beautiful Kalki Koechlin in ‘Dev D’, is all set to marry the actress in the coming days. The two have been close to each other since the ‘Dev D’ days. . Kalki has also met her in-laws in Benaras (Anurag’s hometown) during the shoot of Anurag’s forthcoming film, Gangs Of Wasseypur.
The couple will tie the knot on April 30 amidst family and close friends in Ooty where Kalki’s mother stays. The guest list comes to around 40 and includes quite a few well wishers from the tinsel town. The ceremony will be a simple one in South Indian style. Kalki will wear a Kanjivaram saree and Anurag – a dhoti.
The two had been in a live-in relationship for past two years and had exchanged engagement rings in January this year. Anurag had previously been married to editor Aarti Bajaj, with whom he has a daughter named Aaliya.

Rana Daggubati and Ileana D’Cruz are busy shooting in the beautiful city of Venice for their forthcoming ‘Nenu Naa Rakshasi’ and both the actors just cant stop praising the city of canals. Both the actors shot amidst wood pilings on the submerged islands in the Northern end of the Adriatic Sea, 400-foot bridges and 170 boat canals that connect the city to make it easily accessible to people.

The movie is directed by Puri Jagannath and is a romantic thriller portraying the love between a professional killer (Rana) and a female demon (Ileana). The film has a chilling yet positive tagline – ‘Suicide is not a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Shirish Kunder, director of Joker, has no qualms when it comes for spending much in order to give that extra touch to his forthcoming 3D film ‘Joker’. So, when he needed a forest for the shoot of a sequence in the film and was not happy with the feel of a real one, he chose to spend some 3 crores to build a set of a forest in Mumbai than settle in for a real one.
A real forest would not meet Shirsh’s needs as the film is being made in 3D and it required the look of a fantastical world. So, the forest needed to be customized as per the scene’s requirement and now, it will resemble the kind of world which was seen in ‘Alice in Wonderland’.
Shirish Kunder confirmed this news and said, “It should all be worth it though. Reason being that we need a huge space to shoot some of the most critical scenes in the film. It wouldn’t have been possible had we shot in a real forest.”
Actress Pooja Batra has done quite a few films in Bollywood but unfortunately could not make it big here. She has been missing from the Bollywood scene for quite some time post her marriage to orthopaedic surgeon Sonu Ahluwalia in 2002. After her marriage, she shifted her base to Los Angeles but this Januray, she filed a divorce against her husband.
The latest with Batra is that she is being honored by the LA County Sheriff’s Indo-American Advisory Council for her contribution to the South Asian-American community. She will also host an auction to raise funds for tsunami-hit Japan. The award will be received and the auction will be hosted by her on April 28.
In the business arena too, the actress has some action going on. Her company Glow Bell Inc has associated with a Los Angeles-based casting company to help the latter set up a shop in India.
