It is a well known fact in Bollywood that actor Salman Khan follows no limitations when it comes to displaying his affection and admiration towards those who are close to his heart. So impressed is the actor with his bodyguard co-star and veteran actor Raj Babbar that he gifted him a Merc as his belated birthday gift. Raj Babbar plays Kareena Kapoor’s father in the film and agreed to do the part at last moment when Shatrughan Sinha expressed his inability to meet the commitment due to shortage of time.
Raj Babbar’s birthday falls on June 23 and Salman along with his sister Alvria and Bodyguard producer Atul Agnihotri had been planning a surprise for him for quite sometime. Raj Babbar was overhelmed when Sallu gifted him the silver colored car with the number plate which adds up to five the number Babbar prefers.
Raj Babbar’s daughter Juhi confirmed this saying, “Yes, Bhai did gift dad a car.”
It may be mentioned here that Babbar and Sallu’s father Salim Khan have know each other for decades and in 2009, when Raj Babbar was contesting for parliamentary by-election, Salman had specially flown to Firozabad in Uttar Pradesh to campaign for him.
Prakash Jha’s Aarakshan deals with the burning issue of increasing the quotas of Reservations in India. It revolves around the story of Prabhakar Anand (Amitabh Bachchan), the legendary idealistic principal of a college which happens to be the best in the state. Deepak Kumar (Saif Ali Khan) is a loyal student who will do anything for his Sir. The movie tells the story of Deepak’s love for Prabhakar’s daughter, Poorbi (Deepika Padukone) and of his friendship with Sushant (Prateik).
The movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Manoj Bajpai, Saif Ali Khan, Prateik Babbar, Deepika Padukone, Darshan Zariwala and Hema Malini in the lead roles. The musical scores for the film have been given by Shankar Mahadevan, Ehsaan Noorani, Loy Mendonca and the lyrics come from Prasoon Joshi. Check out the poster of the film….

There has long been a buzz that both Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif are uncomfortable with their long smooch shot for Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ as it is too steamy to be handled by the Indian audience. However, it has been confirmed by actor Hrithik that they have shot the scene with conviction and there would be certainly no editing with the scene.
Hrithik denies all the rumors about the song being edited and says, “The song revolves around five friends (Katrina, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Kalki and Hrithik) and there are no moments between Katrina and me there. But yes, there’s a kiss and I believe that if you’re going to risk your life and jump off a building, you bloody well should make it look convincing. Unless you are honest during such moments of physical intimacy, you will appear uncomfortable and guilty on screen. When you see the lead pair in an English movie kissing, it’s rarely offensive or ‘a bit much’. That’s because of the conviction in their performance.”
Zoya happens to be the only director, apart from his dad (Rakesh Roshan), with whom Hrithik has done two movies — Luck By Chance (2009) and ZNMD, and the only female director he’s worked with. Meanwhile, the actor has just returned after a grueling month-long schedule of Agneepath in Diu.

Sultry Bong beauty Bipasha Basu has just got sexier as the actress recently got her navel pierced managing to fulfil a dream which she had nurtured since she was barely sixteen years old. Bipasha reveals that she had always wanted to do it but did not do so because she was cared of the pain.
Bipasha confirms, “Yes, I got my navel pierced. I was really scared. I got it done at Aalim’s place. This guy from Al’s who did it, I had gone to him about 11 years back but got so scared that I ran away out of fear. This time, for the last two days, I was trying to chicken out but my friend Deanne (Pandey) and my sisters dragged me there.
They think a navel jewel will look fab on me. But in the process of doing it, I actually passed out! I have been scared of injections since childhood, but I think I will get over my fear after this.”
“From d age of 16 wanted 2 get a navel piercing! Finally, I gt guts 2 do it! Looks great bt it heals slowly! Can’t workout much fr d next 15days!” Bipasha posted on her Twitter page.
As soon as Bipasha posted the news of a new addition on her body, her fans started sending her healing tips.

Well, it is known by now that Preity Zinta has stepped into the production zone and her first film will be directed by Prem Soni (Mein Aur Mrs. Khanna fame). What is news is that the bubbly actress has decided to rope in two leading French actors for her film- Fabrice Luchini to play the main lead in her film and the other one is a younger actor, whose name has not been revealed yet. Fabrice, who was recently seen in films such as Service Entrance, Potiche and The Girl from Monaco, is a well- known French actor and this would be his first brush with Indian films.
Preity’s production will be a romantic comedy which will reveal the essence of both Indian and French culture and will be made in three languages- Hindi, English and French. And yes, Preity will of course be a part of the cast. Both the producer and the director are currently in Paris, discussing the film with actors, and scouting for suitable locations for the shoot.
The fact that Vishal Bhardwaj could not find a place for Vidya Balan in his ‘Dedh Ishqiya’ does not mean that the filmmaker has any doubts about the potential of the latter. We have Vishal approach Vidya for his next project ‘Daayan’ which will be made under the banner of Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures. Apparently, Vidya is also doing ‘Dirty Picture’ under the same banner and will complete the shoot for it before she gives dates to Vishal for ‘Daayan’. The movie has Emraan Hashmi in the main lead.
Rumors also have it that Vishal had first approached Rani Mukherjee for the film but she refused to do it because of two reasons. First, she did not want to play the role of a ‘Daayan’ (witch) and secondly, she did not want to star opposite Emraan Hashmi. However, Rani denies the fact that she had been approached for the role. As for Vidya, she just loved the role and the script!!
Priyanka Chopra is definitely one of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood now and she is currently working for Kunal Kohli’s yet to be titled film. Reports have it that Priyanka will be flaunting the modest looks of 1960’s in the film. Despite a beautiful face and figure and superstars Hema Mailni and Dharmendra as her parents, Esha Deol could not make a strong foothold in this industry. So, mom Hema took up the responsibility of re-launch of her daughter and is directing and producing ‘Tell Me O Khuda’ featuring Esha in the lead role. Produced under the banner of H.M. Creations, the movie also stars Dharmendra, Vinod Khanna, Rishi Kapoor, Arjan Bajwa, Farooq Sheikh, Deepti Naval among others.
It is but natural that Esha is super excited about the film which is set to release this year itself. The movie will also have Esha in a special song that will be played in the end during the credit roll. The song is none other than the popular track from the blockbuster movie ‘Sholay’ (“Jab Tak Hai Jaan”..) which was picturized on Hema and Dharmendra and happens to be Esha’s favorite. Once Hema purchases the rights for this song, the shooting will be started. The song will also feature Hema and Dharmendra along with Esha, of course.
