Actress Chitrangada Singh is the latest to join the bandwagon of Bollywood actresses who have said no to fairness cream ads claiming that they send wrong signals to the public. Earlier, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Bipasha Basu have turned down quite a few lucrative offers from such companies.
Chitrangada had been offered a huge amount by the company that specializes in fairness creams. Since Chitrangada has a dusky complexion, they felt that she was a perfect choice for their target audience. However, Chitrangada turned down the offer and was quoted saying, “I refused the offer because I am happy the way I am. I love my skin color. I am dusky and truly Indian and I am happy to stay that way. I don’t believe in the fair skin concept. The bias against dark complexion is unfair.”

Gossip columns went berseck with speculations when Priyanka Chopra was spotted wining and dining with the British singer-songwriter, rapper, beatboxer and record producer, Jay Sean at a bash thrown by him in a Juhu nightspot on Sunday.
Priyanka was introduced to Sean during the shoot of Anjana Anjaani in New York and since then she has openly admitted her admiration for him. Since then, the two have kept in touch and have followed each other on a social networking site. The two were in the nightclub for around two and a half hours and were seen engrossed in an animated conversation and many a giggle. They even left the nightclub together.

Titled ‘Blood Money’, the flick portrays Amrita as a nursery school teacher but the role will in no way curb her sensuality in the film. The Bhatts initially intedned to call this project as ‘Jannat 2’.

However, the reigning queen of Bollywood admits that she gets cold feet with the thought of working along with the King Khan of Bollywood. Katrina has been paired opposite Shahrukh Khan for the first time in a romantic flick with Yash Raj Films and Katrina admits that she is in awe of the superstar.
“I don’t know what it is going to be like working with Shahrukh. I hear that he is someone who makes his heroines feel very comfortable. But Yash Chopra’s romantic film opposite him – I’m terrified of the thought! Imagine, they say ‘action’ and tell me ‘now swing your hair and look at him longingly’…and I’d be standing there with a blank expression!” laughs Kat.
Katrina is about to complete ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ with Salman Khan and she will start shooting for this untitled Yash Raj films next. Katrina has no qualms about working with two rival Khans in back to back projects and says, “We all are fairly responsible individuals and we share a separate equation with each other. Sometimes it’s cordial, sometimes friendly, sometimes not so friendly, but everyone should respect the other’s individual equation. There is no such thing as camps or groups. Sure, there are some groups of friends. But as far as I am concerned, if you write down the names of all my co-stars, the list includes everybody, right from the Deols, Abhishek and Hrithik to Salman, Ranbir and John.”

Shilpa Shetty will be seen in an all new de-glam and bald avatar in her Indo-Chinese venture titled ‘Desire’. She plays a monk in the flick and has to undergo four hours of prosthetic makeup everyday in order to get that bald look.
The movie has Shilpa Shetty and Chinese actor Xia Yu play the lead roles. Anupam Kher, Jayapradha, Vikram Gokhale, and Asif enact other important characters in the movie. Sankar Ehsan Loy and Viswamohan Bhat have composed the music. The movie has been shot in Kerala, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Andhra Pradesh in India and in various locales in Malayasia.
In the past, glamorous Antara Mali had also played a bald monk living in Sikkim in Amol Palekar’s film ‘And Once Again’, but she opted to shave off her tresses completely than going for prosthetic makeup.
Set for October 14 release, the trailer of ‘My Friend Pinto’ starring Prateik Babbar and Kalki Koechlin has already been released and the promotional campaign for the flick is gearing up.
Recently, Prateik was spotted at NM College, Mumbai, to promote his flick. The actor sported a casual look with a black T-shirt paired with a pair of blue denims, and also he wore a hat, like his character Pinto. My Friend Pinto T-shirts were also distributed to the college students by Prateik.
Prateik has already acted in multi-starrer movies such as Dhobi Ghaat, Dum Maaro Dum and the soon-to-release Aarakshan and he plays the main lead for the first time with this flick. The movie is a comedy produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Ronnie Screwvala of UTV and directed by Raaghav Dar.
The makers of ‘Rowdy Rathore’ have followed an all new idea of deciding the new look of Akshay Kumar for the film. They have launched an online hunt and the look that gets the maximum votes will be finalized for the film. The film is being directed by Prabhudeva and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ronnie Screwvala and designer Shabinaa Khan. Sonakshi Sinha has been signed for the female lead opposite Akki.
