Produced by Siddhartha Roy Kapur and directed by Anurag Basu, ‘Barfee’ is an upcoming movie which stars Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. While Ranbir plays the role of a deaf guy, Priyanka will be seen essaying the challenging role of a mentally challenged girl. Ranbir and Priyanka have already worked together in ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ and during the shoot of this film, the rumors of the romantic linkup between the two had been very loud. The two broke up and had been sharing cold vibes for quite a few days. However, they have sorted out their differences and seem comfortable on the sets of ‘Barfee’.

It is only because I have three films, Bodyguard, 3 Idiots and Golmaal 3, that have crossed the 100 crore mark at the box office collection,” she says adding, “This is the first time any actor has earned such numbers. But I was prepared for this response, as I started my preparation ever since I was nine years of age, and would have done anything to get here.”
The serial kisser of Bollywood, Emraan Hashmi, is soon going to face some serious competition and the challenger here is none other than the chocolate boy Ranbir Kapoor. After giving some hot lip locks in his last two releases, ‘Rajneeti’ and ‘Anjaana Anjaani’, Ranbir has once again gone for a long smooch with his co-star Nargis Fakhri in his forthcoming ‘Rockstar’.
The lip lock we are talking about is not just a brush of lips but a full long smooch and given the way gossip columns are going red with so-called romantic linkup between Ranbir and Nargis, the smooch gets all the more spicy.

When it comes to promoting his films, superstar Shah Rukh Khan leaves no stones unturned. So, with his ambitious home production ‘Ra.One’, one can but naturally expect him to go a step further for publicity. These days, industry is abuzz with SRK’s new promotional gimmick. Khan is working on a tie up with the Formula One World Championship during the Grand Prix that will take place in Greater Noida on October 30.
SRK wants the participating cars to sport ‘Ra.One’ logos and he has also requested Michael Schumacher to drive his car with the title Ra.One emblazoned across it. So, if things work out as planned, we may get to see Schumacher drive a car in the Grand Prix which displays ‘Ra.One’ title.
There is no denying the fact that Rajnikanth holds an iconic status in Indian film industry. So, who could be a better star to make a biopic on than Rajni sir himself. Atul Agnihotri is currently working on a biopic Rajinikanth and if sources are to be believes Salmna Khan will be playing the main character. Ad filmmaker Lloyd Ba Pista is all set to write and direct the film.
“There is a huge responsibility involved in making a film on Rajinikanth. We need his approval and contribution. Making a film on him will be an enriching experience for us. Certain commerce is involved in film making; so we are working out the logistics,” Atul Agnihotri said.
Talking about Salman playing Rajnikanth character, he elaborated, “We don’t know. We are working out and it would be great if he (Salman) becomes part of it in any which way. Let’s see, Lloyd is still working on the script and going back and forth. He is consulting people. Let him revert back to me; then we will take it forward.”
It is not uncommon for Bollywood stars to offer their prayers at various dargahs and shrines before the release of their films. Both Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone have films lined up for release.
Katrina had tied up a scared thread in the shrine of Sheikh Salim Chisti during the shoot of ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’. This Monday, she visited the shrine to offer prayers and untie the sacred thread. Dressed in a black suit and a green scarf, Katrina arrived very early at the dargah and offered a chadar. Assisted by Khadim bhai and Shanu, she then untied a ‘dhaga’ (sacred thread) as fulfilment of her “mannat”.
ASI official Munnazzar Ali said, “This was the third time she came in recent months. She was shooting near the Tereh Mori Bandh with the Fatehpur Sikri ridge in the background for the film.”
Meanwhile, Deepika visited Ajmer Sharif dargah earlier this week to seek blessings. Attired in a simple Indian wear, she carried a cane-basket on her head, filled with flowers. While Katrina visited Sheikh Salim Chisti’s shrine for the third time, Deepika was seen at the Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti shrine at Ajmer for the first time.
Bollywood is eagerly awaiting the release of Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan’s comic caper ‘Rascals’. Recently, the crew shot the climax of the film at the Bangkok airport. The climax has an long sequence featuring Sanjay Dutt and Ajay Devgan, both dressed as Santa Claus, riding a bike on a runway. The makers were granted permission till a specific time to shoot at Bangkok airport’s runway, but because some of the scenes required a good number of retakes, the shooting time extended way beyond the scheduled time. The crew then requested the Bangkok airport authorities to extend their deadline by half an hour.
Extending their heartiest co-operation, the airport authorities gave them half an hour extra and meanwhile, the incoming flights were asked to circle around for sometime.
Sanjay Ahluwalia, of Rupali Aum Entertainment, who’s co-producing the movie with Sanjay Dutt, confirmed saying, “Yes, We’re very grateful to the Bangkok airport authorities for extending the time limit for us to complete the shoot there. It wouldn’t have been easy to shoot like that in India.”
The superhit ‘Dabangg’ is being remade in Tamil and reports have it that ‘Sheila’ of Bollywood may do the ‘Munni’ act for the Kollywood remake. The makers are reportedly signing Katrina for the Tamil version of the popular item song, Munni Badnaam Hui, and have allotted a handsome Rs 2.5 crore for it.
The original ‘Munni’, Malaika Arora Khan does not do any item song outside her home banner. Sp, the makers were on a lookout for someone who could aptly replace Malaika. Sonu Sood had earlier tweeted that hunt is on for Munni and had asked for suggestions as to who will be fit to do the Munni act in the film.
The producers of the film were keen on Bipasha Basu but since Katrina Kaif is a good friend of Sonu and is also currently not busy with any film, Sonu Sood is pushing for Katrina. The song is going to be choreographed by Saroj Khan.

The pics of actresses being morphed has become a common act in Bollywood these days. The latest actress to be hit by this dirty business is Kajal Agarwal whose pic has been morphed into a topless one by FHM, a Mumbai-based men’s magazine. Kajal admits having done a photo shoot for the magazine but is hurt by the way her fabricated topless picture was published on the cover, thereby tarnishing her image.
Her sister and actress Nisha Agarwal says that the act has done a lot of damage to Kajal’s personal and professional image and that Kajal would never do such a thing to gain publicity. This pitcure had upset her family as they were getting innumerous calls from friends, family and well-wishers from the industry, expressing shock over the issue.
“We had to explain to them that it was a morphed picture and exposed the unprofessional conduct of the publishing house,” Nisha added further.

When Minissha Lamba was in New York for an Indo-US cultural event, she was stuck on the 22nd floor of the Hotel Radisson due to hurricane Irene which had struck the nation. She is trapped in the hotel until the hurricane calls off and the sir services resume from US.
Speaking on Sunday morning from her hotel room in New York, the actress said, “It’s really really scary out here. For 36 hours the entire New York is going to have to stay indoors. A state of emergency has been declared. Everyone is in their homes. As I look out of my hotel window I see a deserted street down below, Can you imagine New York without traffic? It’s like a scene out of Armageddon.”
“I am all alone here. My stay has been extended for a week. I had no choice. The airports are shut. All flights are cancelled. Half of New York, New Jersey, Staten Island have been evacuated. I can’t return.”
“I hope I can return the soonest possible. Maybe I should just enjoy Irene’s company. She’s my first hurricane. I believe first hurricanes are like first love. You never forget it,” she added with a hint of humor.
Gossip columns have long been abuzz with the relation of Abhay Deol with British model turned actress Preeti Desai. The rumors went as far as declaring that the two are engaged and all set to tie the knot.
Though the two kept tight lipped for a long time, Abhay Deol finally broke his silence admitting his relationship and denying his engagement saying, “There have been speculations which questioned if I was dating her or if I was not, if we are engaged or not. But, I am not engaged.”
