Ranveer Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha are set to star together in their next project ‘Lootera’ to be made under the direction of Vikramaditya Motwane.  The film will be shot in West Bengal and the hilly regions around that area. The musical notes have been given by Amit Trivedi (Dev D fame).

This will be Ranveer’s first project outside the Yash Raj Films banner, with whom Ranveer has done Band Baaja Baraat, and the upcoming Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl.

The movie is being produced by India’s first ‘director’s production house’ – Phantom – helmed by Vikas Bahl, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane.

This is a well known fact that the entry of Pamela Anderson in the previous season of Big Boss had shot up its TRP ratings. Following the same pattern, the makers of Big Boss have signed up celebrated porn star Sunny Leone, whose real name is Karen Malhotra, to make an entry in the house.

With her debut movie ‘Rockstar’ getting rave reviews, newbie Nargis Fakhri seems to have impressed the nation. The girl has bagged in three major endorsement deals in a row- the women’s line of the apparel brand Van Heusen, a premium brand of Tata Motors and Marico’s Parachute hair care brand. The three endorsement deals will give Nargis a lumpsum amount of about 9 crores!!

Nargis appeared in two stylish outfits for the event where she was announced the brand ambassador of Van Heusen Woman and she managed to pull both her dresses in style.

The spokesperson of the company said: “Van Heusen Woman, a brand which favours the confident, bold yet elegant femininity, did not have to look any further to find the right ambassador who would perfectly define the Brand’s image when they discovered the exquisitely svelte and beautiful, the bold Nargis Fakhri.”

The spokesperson added: “The elegance and confidence she brings to the table is highly desirable and aspirational for today’s women.”

Sonam Kapoor has worked in quite a few Bollywood films but she is yet to deliver a major hit here. Now, the actress has moved down South and will be working under the direction of A.R.Murugadoss (Ghajini fame) in a Tamil flick with actor Vijay as her co-star. The film’s title is Maalai Nerathu Mazhaithuli – an action adventure and is slated for a 2012 release.

The producers wanted Sonam for the role as they felt she was apt for it. When she was approached by them, she just loved the script and agreed to be part of the film. Reports have it that the film will also be made in Hindi and Akshay Kumar will play the lead in its Hindi version. If this happens, Akshay Kumar ans Sonam Kapoor will be paired for the first time for the big screen.

Finally, the long wait for the new arrival in the Bachchan family has come to an end as Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are blessed with a baby girl this morning on 16th November.

Tweeting about this, father Abhishek Bachchan announced, “IT’S A GIRL!!!!!! ))))”.

Amitabh Bachchan, expressed his joy of being a grandfather with his tweet, “I AM DADA to the cutest baby girl !!”

Then came a shower of congratulations and best wishes from various Bollywood stars.  Bipasha Basu was one of the first stars to congratulate in 140 characters. She wrote: “OMG! So excited Baby B is Daddy to a lil Angel! Congrats Ash n @juniorbachchan n to d entire family!Welcome sweet baby girl:)”

Whenever some mega project gets geared up to hit the screens, some legal problem seems to crop up from nowhere. This time the makers of ‘Don 2’ have run into a legal trouble over a copyright issue.

The production house Nariman Films (known for producing the original Don movie starring Amitabh Bachchan in 1978) has charged Excel Entertainment (owned by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Deshmukh) that their agreement and copyright to remake the original Don movie expired in 2009 and has not been renewed. Another charge by Nariman films is that the title had been registered as ‘Don 2 – Return of the King’ and since the posters of Don 2 claim ‘The King is Back’, it is yet another infringement.

Nariman Films has sent a legal notice to Excel Entertainment and they intend to approach the courts to halt the release of Don 2 on December 23.

Excel Entertainment, on the other hand, claim that Don 2 is a entirely new story and concept and has hence nothing to do with the original movie.

Both Rajeev Khandelwal and Ayesha Takia have killer looks, brilliant screen presence and have given us quite a few memorable performances but unfortunately both the stars have failed to make it big in the tinsel town. The two now come together for a romantic mystery titled ‘Fever’, which has been produced by Ravi Agarwal and directed by Rajeev Jhaveri.

This romantic thriller will be shot in the exotic locales of Europe including Switzerland’s Fribourg, Berne, Brienz and Zweisimmen. Rajeev plays a stylish, sauve and charming undercover agent. Ayesha will yet again be seen in a bubbly character and has been given a new look with a fusion European-Indian style for her role. The film becomes all the more enthralling as it marks the Bollywood debut of Gemma Atkinson, the ex-flame of popular footballer Christiano Ronaldo. Originally, Barbara Mori had been offered this role. Fever is slated to release in March 2012.

Prachi Desai hit the world of glamour at the tender age of 16 and tasted success quite early with her debut television serial ‘Kasam Se’. However, the actress says that starting out early has proved to be a blessing for her rather than snatching away the carefree moments of her life. She says, “When I started out I knew nothing about camera angles or the way I should be facing the camera, but everyday proved to be a learning experience. It was better in a way because I got an opportunity to do what I wanted to do. I was always interested in pursuing acting and this was perfect. I do miss out on being with my friends, but there’s nothing a cell phone can’t do these days.”

Uptil now, Prachi has kept to her simple girl-next-door image. However, with her new photo shoot for the November issue of Maxim this year, Prachi shows her sensuous side. Though the cover page has Angela Jonsson at her sexiest best, Prachi Desai manages to steal the oomph from her in the pages inside. The film was initially titled Shaadi Fast Forward, but later director Ashwin Choudhry changed the title to ‘Jodi Breakers’. With the stills of the flick doing rounds on the net, the two seem to share an excellent chemistry together and Madhavan has been showering praises for his co-star with his tweets.

His latest tweets say; “Folks.U R gonna loveee Bipasha in this film-She looks Unbelieveable.I Dont think she has looked better or Hottteeerr in any other film”.

This Wednesday night SoBo five star hotel basked in the cream of Bollywood with the whos who of Bollywood attending the Hello! Hall of Fame Awards 2011. Some of Mumbai’s most glamorous people (and even some of Delhi’s divas) attended the high profile do. The awardees included Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Pratiek Babbar, Princess Siddhi Kumari of Bikaner, Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, Mukesh Ambani, Navin Jindal, Gagan Narang, Sonam Kapoor and Karisma Kapoor, among others.

Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone had made a stop-over after attending Ganesh Hegde’s bash. Actress Sonam Kapoor wore a stunning yellow Gucci gown to the event and made the most diva-like entrance. The actress won the Face Of The Year Award at the show.

Nargis Fakhri has created stirs much before her debut ‘Rockstar’ hits the screens. Though it is not the first time the girl has given a bold topless photo shoot, yet her hot new shoot has made her fans drooling for more. Glamour world is not new for Nargis. She was quite active in the fashion world in US and had appeared in America’s Next Top Model in 2004. She first went topless for 2009 Kingfisher Calendar.

Born in New York to a Pakistani father and Czech mother, Nargis is now being claimed as the next best thing in Bollywood. Her co-stars and director of her debut flick ‘Rockstar’, too, swear by her acting skills. While Ranbir Kapoor is all praises for Fakhri, Moufid Aziz, who plays her husband in the film, also seems to be smitten by her beauty and talents.

Being paired with Nargis was almost like a blessing, says Moufid, adding, “I’ve done modelling for a few years in places like Germany, Spain, Portugal etc. I’ve also walked the ramp for Sao Paulo, Barcelona and India Mens Fashion week too. Nargis also was a model like me before she joined movies. She may not be very big right now, but she is a really nice person. We had a lot to talk about – our roots, international exposure, modelling at so many places, etc. We also have a lot of common friends from a few countries, people we’ve worked together with. So, it was easy to work with her.”
