There couldn’t be a better way to celebrate the real estate tycoon K.P.Singh’s 80th birthday than have Latino pop sensation Shakira grooving to her hit numbers. The celebrations had begun right in August this year and partying will go on in November as well with a planned three-day gala beginning November 12. The celebrations will be held in Delhi, Gurgaon and Udaipur and will include a launch of Singh’s autobiography in Delhi, sumptuous dinners and conclude with a performance by Shakira in Udaipur on November 15.

This being a private party there will be a limited guest list of about 500 people and will include the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Hritik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, and pop star Ricky Martin who might make it to Udaipur.

Freida Pinto and Dev Patel who fell in love during the shoot of Danny Boyle’s super hit movie in 2008, ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, have certainly taken their relationship a step further. Putting an end to all the guesses and denials about their relationship the two have moved in together in a posh $1.5 million rental home in Santa Monica. The couple were spotted carrying boxes into the house, which appears to be a in a leafy suburban area of the city.

Talking about their move, Freida Pinto said, “We recently realised we need a rule like that, because every time we think we’re going to be together, something work-related comes up.”

“But we can’t put our careers on hold for this. We’re not at the stage where we have the privilege to turn things down. So we’ll say, ‘You have two days off? Let’s find a way to meet up.’ I think you can always make it work if you want to,” she added.

The music launch party for the upcoming flick ‘Desi Boyz’ was a grand success. The movie has been directed by Rohit Dhawan and stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone. Desi Boyz is an action comedy film which revolves around two friends Akshay and John Abraham who after losing their jobs start working as Pole Dancers. What happens after that, how they meet the beautiful heroines, with lots of comedy encounters is all about the movie.

Even at the age of 44, Madhuri Dixit looks as ravishing and radiant as she had been at the peak of her career. The lady has aptly been chosen as the brand ambassador of Olay Regenerist and she unveiled the new range of skin care products from Olay at an event in Mumbai.

Talking about the product, Madhuri said, “Being a doctor’s wife, I understand the importance of treating skin at the cellular level. This is why I am especially excited about Olay Regenerist finally coming to India.”

“I urge women to challenge what’s possible for their skin and use Olay Regenerist to get dramatic results on their skin without having to go through drastic measures,” she added.

She tweeted about this on Twitter as, “Thank you for all your support in making the launch a success. It is great to be back! More to come…..”

The promotions of ‘The Dirty Picture’ kick-started with a hot and ravishing performance of Vidya Balan at the music launch of the flick in Mumbai. Vidya grooved sensuously to the tunes of Bappi Lahiri’s popular song ‘Ooh la la’ from The Dirty Picture. The launch event was held at a suburban mall in Mumbai.

This is the first time Vidya has performed live on stage and a crowd of around 2,000 people gathered at the mall to witness Vidya’s performance. Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor also did a jig on stage but it was definitely Vidya who stole the show with her curves and cleavage. In fact, her 80s style dress revealed so much that she was in the verge of a wardrobe malfunction when she bent to touch director Milan Luthria’s feet. Relaising the flaw, Vidya rushed to her vanity van soon after her performance and returned in a red saree with white polka dots.

SRK had tried every possible move to promote his ambitious project ‘Ra.One’ and with the film doing fairly well this Diwali, the actor has now his eyes set on his next mega project ‘Don 2’. SRK’s Twitter account is all about ‘Don 2’ these days and he tweeted to Priyanka Chopra praising her feminity as “thanx Roma, here’s to ur beauty, ur voice, all those things & happy mood swings. please please keep me as ur songwriter. lov.”

Priyanka Chopra, who plays the female lead, Roma, in Don 2, has made her presence felt in the first look poster of the flick where she looks sensuous as she sits cross legged with SRK. Priyanka is at present in US busy recording her debut album and will return to India only to start the promotional campaign of Don 2.

Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif was declared guilty of match fixing by the British courts on October 28. Four days before the verdict, the depressed cricketer call up his ex-girlfriend Veena Malik asking her to be with him in London. It may be mentioned here that Veena Malik had a one and a half year long live-in relationship with the cricketer. They broke up eventually and Asif got married to Sanaa.

However, Veena has firmly turned down his request. She says, “It was a mutual friend from, London, Zahid Ali Saab, who called me on October 26 stating that Asif wanted to desperately see me, that he wanted a reconciliation.

I declined. How can I turn back the clock? Asif and I shared a beautiful if stormy relationship. We were together until 2008 when I came to know about his match-fixing activities; I left him.”

Veena added, “I can’t deny I still have feelings for him. Relationships don’t die, ” admits the actress, and adds, “I’ve no hard feelings about any of my former boyfriends. My time with Asif was special. But I’ve moved on.

Asif is a happily married man. I know his wife Sanaa. In fact, when they were getting married, she called me up to find out about my relationship with Asif. I told her to please go ahead with the marriage.”

So firm is Veena about not rekindling her relationship with Asif that she even cancelled her trip to England to avoid meeting him. She said, “I was supposed to be there this week for an event. It’s best not to create situations where things can go out of hand.”

Bipasha Basu had last left her admirers drooling with her hot bikini act in 2006 for ‘Dhoom 2’. Once again the sexy Bong beauty is out to raise the hotness quotient with a two piece bikini in her forthcoming multi-starrer ‘Players’.

Bipasha says that she loves being in water and so was very comfortable with the bikini. Her only concern with such scenes is that they should be shot aesthetically and swears by the work of cinematographer Ravi K Chandran at the scene.

This particular scene was shot in Wellington in New Zealand where the water was freezing cold. Besides, the scene was scheduled to be shot early in the morning and so Bips had to miss out the fun at Abhishek Bachchan’s birthday party the previous night.

After considering various options for the bikini, she finally settled for one from her personal wardrobe.

Talking about wearing a bikini in ‘Dhoom 2’, Bipasha Basu said, “At that time, I was just thin. Today I am fitter and curvier.”

Bipasha also plans to launch a workout routine to help women attain a perfect beach body.

Bollywood will usher New Year with Abbas- Mustan’s thriller ‘Players’ which will hit the theatres on January 6. This multi-starrer project is the remake of the 2003 Hollywood thriller ‘The Italian Job’. The movie stars Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Sonam Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Sikander Kher and Omi Vaidya. The film is based on a gang of players which make a plan to make a f ortune worth billions. Crafty schemes, fast paced cars, action sequences and betrayal acts promise to keep the ardeline flowing!!

The film has been shot at a variety of locations, including Russia, New Zealand, UK and India. The trailer of the film has been released which opens with a dialogue from Abhishek Bachchan. Then the characters played by Sonam Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Bipasha Basu and Neil Nitin Mukesh are introduced.

Since the time Dabangg’s ‘Munni Badnaam Hui’ item number became a rage, Sonakshi Sinha had openly expressed her wish to do an item number and sure enough, her desire is getting fulfilled in her forthcoming ‘Joker’ in which she will be seen gyrating to an item number choreographed by Saroj Khan.

However, Sonakshi will not be the only one adding to the oomph quotient in the film with her sexy moves. Reports have it that Chitrangada Singh, too, has been roped in for an item number in the movie. Chitrangada’s song titled ‘Kaafirana’ will be choreographed by Farah Khan.

The film which will hit the theatres on June 15, 2012 stars Akshay Kumar in the lead.

In her short career span, Kangana Ranaut has carved her niche in Bollywood and has given us some very memorable flicks. Now, the actress is all set for yet another challenging role of a superwoman in Rakesh Roshan’s ‘Krrish 2’.

Kangana had always been the first choice for this role, but she had turned down the offer initially because of the date problems. However, with the shooting of Kangana’s film Dedh Ishqya postponed to early next year and with the shifting of the Krrish sequel’s shoot to December this year, Kangana was all too happy to accept the role. It may be mentioned here that this role has been turned down by Chitrangada Singh and Jacqueline Fernandez.

However, Kangana is super excited about the same and will undergo rigorous training including intense martial arts programme.

With Ranbir Kapoor’s forthcoming ‘Rockstar’ all set to hit the theatres on November 11, the actor is busy these days with the promotion of the flick. He recently performed at a live concert at Bhavans College ground in suburban Andheri accompanied by composer A R Rahman, playback singer Mohit Chauhan, music arranger Ranjit Barot, percussion guru Sivamani and lead actress Nargis Fakhri, among others. The fans went berseck when Ranbir performed on the song ‘Sadda Haq’.

Rahman, Mohit Chauhan and Javed Ali then went on to sing ‘Phir Se Ud Chala’, ‘Jo Bhi Main’, ‘Kun Faaya Kun’, ‘Katiyan Karun’, ‘Nadaan Parinde’ and ‘Tum Ho’, all songs from the film.

Talking about the concert, Ranbir had said, “I am not nervous about the concert. But I am excited about sharing stage with A R Rahman. I believe I am not a rockstar and Rahman sir is a true Rockstar.”
