Kangana Ranaut is keeping her fingers crossed for the role of Rehana she plays in ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai’. The movie has the look and feel of the 70s era and Kangna did an extensive research on Zeenat Aman before portraying the role.
Speaking about the era of the seventies, the actress says, “What I noticed while playing my character in the film was the fact that the heroine of the seventies took half an hour to get dressed and more than two hours to style her hair.”
Says director Milan Luthria, “Kangana lends herself because she has a great body which does not look vulgar and her face is chameleon-like – she can change into different looks everyday. There is a lot of her in the character Rehana.”
The character Rehana in the movie is a leading star but later she falls in love with a gangster and transforms from a star to a woman. Set in mid 1970s, Once upon a Time in Mumbai is a slick and entertaining re-living of the iconic Mumbai underworld for all those who marveled at the men that stood above all else and for those whose burning desire to succeed stands above all else. The complete cast includes Ajay Devgan, Emraan Hashmi, Kangna Ranaut, Prachi Desai and Randeep Hooda. The movie is being directed by Milan Luthria under producers Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor of Balaji telefilms.

It was all glamour and glitter at People magazine’s ‘Most Beautiful’ bash at Tote. Sushmita Sen was there, as was Soniya Mehra, Kangana Ranaut, Dia Mirza and Sonu Niigaam.
The electrifying Sushmita Sen, was attired in a blue Alexander McQueen dress and she posed alongside a glowing Dia Mirza dressed in an orange ruffled dress. Sonu Niigaam has a quirky and a very interesting look and a new, equally interesting hairdo. Doe-eyed Kangana Ranaut sported a blue one-shoulder top with a black skirt and a silver clutch.
However, what we missed was the style quotient of Bollywood, Kareena Kapoor herself who has been named ‘India’s Most Beautiful Woman’ by People magazine.

Seems the problems for Kangana Ranaut-Madhavan starrer “Tannu Weds Mannu” never ceases to end. First it was Kangana’s injury which set the shoot of the film to a halt and now another shooting schedule planned in a mosque in this Punjab town had to be cancelled owing to the protests by the local residents. The shooting had to be cancelled on the orders of Kapurthala deputy commissioner Rajkamal Chaudhary.
A police official reported, “Members of the film unit had started installing the sets inside the mosque Friday night. On seeing this, members of Muslim community gathered outside the mosque and started raising slogans against the administration and the filmmakers. They threatened to interrupt the shooting as it would allegedly affect their religious sentiments.”
The movie is produced by Shailesh Singh and directed by Anand Malhotra. Besides Kangana and Madhavan, the movie also has Jimmy Shergill in an important role.

Kangna Ranaut is not a new name in the endorsement world with having endorsed FMCG like Levis jeans and others. Now, Kangna has a new feather to her cap and has been roped in as the brand ambassador of ‘Alcatel Ice Mobiles’ which is going to make a comeback into the market with a bang. The (re)launch of the said brand of mobiles will happen around the late this year.
Mr. M. S. Malik, Director of ICE Mobile Network Systems said, “ICE Systems is committed to bring world class devices with latest Technology, Trend & Design to the Indian customers. Indeed, it is an honour to get associated with TCT Mobile and together we are launching five new ALCATEL handset models in the next three months and establish a presence of at least a million handsets within a span of six months in the Indian market
Kangna Ranaut says, “ICE is a young, hip, cool and stylish phone. I love its distinctive look, and believe it offers great features. It is priced very affordably, and I’m sure it will be a very popular phone in the market.”
Take a look at Kangna endorsing the mobile. It is indeed difficult to say which is hotter- the phone or the Himachal beauty!!!

Kangana Ranaut may be sulking due to the fact that her rest due to broken leg and greasy home food have made her put on weight but the makers of her forthcoming ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ seem to be completely happy and comfortable with her new size.
Kangna had fractured her leg in Jalandhar during the shoot of ‘Tanu Weds Manu.’ And with recommended complete bed rest at her parents’ house in Manali, lack of daily exercise regimen and home food, she gained seven kilos.
“Kangna is looking very pretty with the added weight,” says director Aanand Rai, “I had been asking her to put on some weight. I’m quite happy as she looks perfect for the role of the Punjabi girl she plays in my film.”
Reports say that all her dresses for ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ are being remade as designer Reza will be taking Kangna’s new measurements.
Presently, Kangna is pinning her hopes on her forthcoming ‘Kites’ and her choreographer in the movie, Soparrkar, is all praises for her “Kangna will surprise everybody with her performance,” he says, “We have all seen her in these psycho-type roles, but she is a natural dancer. I choreographed two songs with her and H

Our actresses are facing repeated mishaps this month. After Katrina Kaif gets injured on the sets of ‘Tees Maar Khan’, it is the turn of Himachal beauty Kangana Ranaut to face injury and this time it is serious. It was on the sets of Anand Rai’s ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ in Jalandhar where an action sequence was being shot.
Kangana was to ride a bike with a pillion rider. However, as the shoot progressed, the two lost balance, the bike skid and fell on the actress’s foot. Kangana’s injury was aggravated by her anklets which pierced her leg. The crew members immediately rushed her to nearest hospital where reports revealed serious damage and minor fracture. Kangana has been advised a week’s bed rest and producer Shailesh Singh has arranged for the best orthopaedic surgeon for her.
However, director Anand Raj is all praises for Kangana’s professional attitude because even while the actress was fighting the pain in hospital, she was concerned about the next shooting schedule.
As for us, our best wishes to the actress for a speedy recovery!!

Kangana Ranaut has made her mark in Bollywood with her commendable performances in critically acclaimed film like ‘Gangster’ and ‘Woh Lamhe’ and after winning a National Award for her performance in ‘Fashion’, there has been no stopping for the girl.
Grapevines have it that the makers of her forthcoming film have agreed to pay her 5 crores for her forthcoming film. The flick is to be directed by Tanvir Khan, who last directed Deadline. It sure can be said that now the directors have realized her potential and have no qualms in giving her the fee she deserves.”
However, Kangana, on her part, said, “I can’t discuss my fee.”

Dino Morea has had a reputation of a bad lover boy in our tinsel town having a series of linkups right from Bipasha Basu, Lara Dutta to Nandini Mahtani. Kangana Ranaut too had linkups and ugly breakups with Aditya Pancholi and Adhyayan Suman. Since, both these actors seems to be single at present nursing their wounds from the last breakup, they decided to fall into each other’s arms for solace. The occasion was Sanjay and Manyata Dutt’s second marriage anniversary where the duo had quite a good time mingling with each other.
The eye witnesses say that despite this being their first mmeting, both of them were very comfortable with each other and were chatting away intimately. Before leaving together, they hugged each other rather warmly with the peck on the cheek.
The party had other hot celebrity guest too with the likes of Shilpa and Raj Kundra, Sunil and Mana Shetty, Fardeen and Natasha Khan, David Dhawan and wife Lalli, Kirron Kher and Amar Singh and so on.
