Now the 4th season of the popular show, ‘Big Boss’, is facing a host crisis. Since the channel has a policy of not repeating its hosts, they did not approach Big B on the first hand and by the time they realized that getting a good replacement is getting difficult, it was too late because Big B had already committed himself to hosting season 4 of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’.

Then the channel approached SRK for the role but unfortunately SRK did not have dates as he is already booked for Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 2’ with Priyanka Chopra. ‘Colors’ even offered him a larger remuneration than Big B but to no avail.

With no options left, the channel is now trying to get Akshay Kumar to play host on ‘Bigg Boss 4’. And if the Khiladi Kumar turns down the offer too, the viewers will have to do with some non-film celebrity as host.

Director Anurag Basu came up with the strong and powerful subject in ‘Silence’, but the movie has been suffering delay due to the starry issues of the female actresses. Earlier Priyanka Chopra was supposed to play the lead role in the film, but when Asin and Katrina Kaif who were earlier chosen for equally pivotal roles in the film chose to opt out fearing that they would be sidelines with Priyanka playing the plum role, the project’s future seemed to be at dismay. It was then that Piggie Chops decided to take action as she felt that ‘Silence’ is too powerful a project to be stalled. So, she took a step which no leading actress would dare to and she decided to swap roles and go for the one which was comparatively weaker so that the project moved further.

Now, PC essays a mentally challenged person alongside Ranbir Kapoor, who enacts a deaf mute guy in the hero and director Anurag Basu intends to take Priyanka Chopra to a mental asylum to help her get into the skin of her role.

Confirming the news, Priyanka said, “I will start shooting for Anurag’s Silence in January 2011 after completing Don 2. I am preparing for my role. I need to undergo training to perform the role perfectly. I am happy to get such a challenging role, which many of my age do not get.”

Actress Priyanka Chopra may be quite busy these days with the shoot of films like ‘Anjaana Anjaani‘ and ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’, going on but she makes it a point not to miss the fun in her life. She had a gala all-girls party on her 28th birthday in Phuket, an island in the south of Thailand and will be back in Mumbai on July 27.

As she went on with six of her girlfriends, she posted on micro-blogging site Twitter: ‘Off for my sinful holiday with my girls! Oh sooooo needed it… See you guys in paradise.’

After baggin in Miss World 2000 title, Priyanka stepped into Bollywood and is, at present, one of the regining actresses of Bollywood today with a bunch of hits in the kitty ranging from ‘Aitraaz’, ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’, ‘Bluffmaster’, ‘Krrish’, ‘Don - The Chase Begins Again’, ‘Dostana’, ‘Kaminey’ and ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’. Priyanka Chopra oozed cheerfulness and was fun as read out some excerpts from the book. She also said that the book was clearly a fun read. She also gave some humorous tips on how to handle stress in life, regardless of whichever profession one comes from. Priyanka Chopra is one actress who believes in working hard and partying even harder. Now that Piggie Chops is back in the city, the actress got into the grooving mood at her best friend Mubina Rattonsey’s birthday at a hotel in Juhu. Priyanka was just too happy to bond with her old pals and she danced all the night long with her friend Mubina. Other big shots present at the party were Shrishti Arya, Santosh Sivan and Siddharth Malhotra, along with Sharman Joshi, Genelia D’Souza and Vishal Dadlani. Mutual friend Shahid Kapoor could not attend the party as he was away abroad for the shoot of ‘Mausam’ but he did not fail to wish his friend over the phone.

Says the party girl, “Had soooo much fun at Mubina Rattonsey’s party last night!! All hell broke loose!! Haha but that’s the way to be!! Off to work now….”

Though rains bring a wave of relief for the scorching heat of Summer, they have nevertheless spoiled some of the shooting schedules of Bollywood stars. Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Mausam’ shoot, currently going on in Scotland, had to be shifted from outdoors to indoors, thanks to the heavy incessant downpour. Again Priyanka Chopra’s plans, too, went for a topsy turvy as her shooting of ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ faced a long delay due to the wrath of the rains.

At present, Shahid Kapur and Sonam are shooting in Edinburgh, Scotland for Pankaj Kapur’s ‘Mausam’. Shahid plays an Air Force pilot in the film and will be seen sporting a uniform for most part of the film.

Check out some of the snapshots from ‘Mausam’ which got leaked into the cyber world with Shahid sporting shades and a blazer decorated with stripes and medals, and Sonam dressed in a bright red dress and a wig giving a hint of yesteryear beauty Madhuri Dixit.

Finally, Lara Dutta’s long cherished dream of playing an action-packed role is going to come true as she bags in a role in Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 2’. Though not much is being revealed about Lara’s role in the film, she is supposedly playing femme fatale in the flick for which she had to learn some martial arts. Lara’ role is not the one played by Isha Koppikar, but the part has been specially written for her.

Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Rampal have already been finalized for the sequel and with Lara joining in the cast, The two former Miss India’s (Lara, Miss Universe and Priyanka, Miss World) will be seen together in the flick after a long gap since they first debuted in Andaaz opposite Akshay Kumar in 2003.

As the brand ambassador of Levis, Priyanka Chopra is also associated with the brand’s ‘The Change Your World’ music contest, India’s largest online music talent hunt, which will give the winners a chance to relish a three city tour, apart from producing a music video featuring Piggie Chops.

The contest is creating excited ripples and as many as 53 independent bands have already jumped onto the online hunt bandwagon. The list of names is also quite impressive including the likes of Scribe, Bhayanak Maut, Boomerang, Half Step Down, Tough On Tobacco, The Mavyns and Workshop, among others.

Priyanka Chopra had lost her maternal grandfather this January and just a few months after this, she lost her paternal grandmother this Sunday on 2nd May. The actress was shooting for Vishal Bharadwaj’s ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ in Coorg when she got the news and immediately rushed to Delhi. There being no flight out from Coorg, Priyanka had to first drive to Bangalore and then catch a flight to Delhi.

Priyanka posted on her Twitter account earlier today, “Hi guys. Lost my dadi day before. Had to fly in to Delhi urgently.. It’s so tough losing grandparents. First my nana and now dadi. RIP dadi.”

Priyanka also told a close friend, “It’s so strange. The entire family had gathered together in Delhi a month ago when I got the National award. That had made my grandmother so happy. Little did we know it was the last time I’d get to see her.”

The team of Bollywood stars offers heart felt condolescence to the beautiful actress!

Time and again there have been incidents when crazy fans have tried to mob or grab some actor or actress and this time this scary incident took place with gorgeous Priyanka Chopra. Piggie Chops was on the sets of her forthcoming film opposite Zayed Khan and as soon as the actress stepped out of her vanity van to join her colleagues for dinner, a stranger blocked her way and tried to grab her. The person was in his twenties and getting hold of Priyanka, he tried to pull her closer. A surprised and aghast Priyanka slapped the guy hard in his face to teach him a lesson. This definitely checked the person and saved the situation from getting worse. Meanwhile, her colleagues rushed in to her rescue. Finally, the guy was let off and no police complaint has been filed against him by the actress.

Priyanka is still in a state of shock at this sudden and unexpected mishappening.

Now, this is one controversy which Priyanka Chopra definitely did not want to get involved in. She recently posted in her twitter account that she was back into ‘civilization’ from Kashmir and that did not go down very well with some people.

To clarify the matter, Priyanka later wrote, “I did tweet to say I was going back to civilization. That was more a state of mind expressing my happiness at being back in familiar surroundings. It didn’t mean I didn’t enjoy Kashmir.

Kashmir is to me a dreamscape. I want to go back there as soon as possible. I tweeted saying it’s completely safe. Forget Switzerland. When we have Kashmir we don’t need to go anywhere else.”

There is yet another controversy which has been following the pretty lady. Rumors have it that she has been tweeting on Blackberry and not on Nokia the cell phone company she endorses.

She clarifies, “I have not been tweeting on Blackberry. I’ve been tweeting on my Nokia from my laptop. I don’t own a Blackberry. I’ve always been a Nokia fiend. I’ve owned only Nokia phones from the time I started using the cell phone.”

It is not long back when Priyanka Chopra claimed on a talk show that she was good friends with Katrina Kaif . So, when it came out that Katrina Kaif walked out of Anurag Basu’s next as soon as Priyanka Chopra was also chosen to be a part of the cast, it definitely raised quite a few brows. This film had Ranbir and Katrina in the lead roles. Later, Priyanka Chopra was also added to the cast and it was then when Katrina backed out.

However, the reason is definitely not the cat-fight or any sort of rivalry between the two actresses. Sources say that Katrina is interested only in those films which have her as the solo heroine. “I am not saying I won’t do films with other leading ladies, but for now, I’m happy in the space I am. Why should I unnecessarily rock the boat? And yes, I am finally about to lock the deal to produce my film. It’s a fabulous role and I’ve been angling for the remake rights for quite some time. I’d like to get down to it as soon as possible,” said Katrina.

Also, Katrina has finally got the rights to produce the remake of a French film and she needs time to work on this personal and close to her heart project. In the film, she will be playing a “scheming gold-digger.” Besides, she is also working on Farah Khan’s Tees Marr Khan and has Zoya Akhtar’s next and Dostana 2 lined up in a row.
