Nana Patekar blasts off at Deepika Padukone

The short-tempered Nana Patekar comes in form once again and this time at the receiving end is the gorgeous and ever so beautiful Deepika Padukone.

It so happened that Nana Patekar is set to direct a film for Prakash Jha and Patekar approached Deepika for a casting. However, when Deepika tried to suggest some changes in the script, Nana lost his cool and gave her left and right. Nana went on to the extent of saying that he has immense experience in the film industry and how can a newcomer like Deepika suggest he make changes in the script. Deepika maintained a dignified silence but now she has decided not to do the film at all.

However, a close friend of Deepika denies any tiff between the two and said, “Yes, Nana had approached her with a script however Deepika refused to do it as she could not connect to it. Nana did not have a verbal argument with her and she is not aware if Nana is upset with her. She did not do the film as it was something that she just did not want to do. That’s it.”

Will ‘Right Ya Wrong’ revive Sunny Deol’s sinking career?

Releasing this Friday is a crime thriller ‘Right Ya Wrong’ produced by Subhash Ghai and Written and directed by debutant Neeraj Pathak. The movie marks the comeback of Sunny Deol who seemed to have disappeared from limelight post his disasters in movies like “Heroes” and “Fox”. The storyline goes as:

The ‘Smack That’ singer Akon is on a three-day visit to Mumbai to compose and record a song for SRK’s ‘Ra 1’ and Shahrukh is leaving no stones unturned to give the singer a very warm welcome. Akon got a traditional Indian welcome from Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor during a press meet in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Akon has also worked with A R Rahman on the album Freedom is Beautiful.

Asked whether he plans to work with other artists too, Akon replied, “I have worked extensively in America and after America, India will be my next big focus because I have got so much support here. Soon you will see me working with other groups too. I am planning a world tour and hopefully we will have a number of shows in India.”

For Ra One, I will be composing and singing a song. I will also appear in it. I want to give Shah Rukh different versions of the same song to choose from,” he added.

However, as soon as Khan became aware of this blunder, he told Moranis to invite Farah, but it was too late by then.

The party had glittering celeb list including Sherlyn Chopra, Riya Sen, Poonam Dhillon, Claudia Ciesla, Aarti Chhabria, Gauhar Khan, Anushka Manchanda, Sonal Chauhan, Rannvijay Singh, Madhu, Gaurav Chopra and Vidhu Dara Singh among others.

It was then discovered that the only key to the cuffs was accidentally broken and there was no duplicate key. The production team immediately beckoned a locksmith but the cuffs being imported stuff he couldn’t open them. Farah then sent a team member to bring the duplicate key which was at the other end of the city and it took 4 hours.

As a result, Shahid requested the producer of his ‘Milenge Milenge’ to shift the release date of the film to sometime later. The movie has been under making for a long 5 year period and stars his ex-love Kareena Kapoor opposite him.

Boney confirms the news as he says, “Yes. I have postponed Milenge Milenge from April 2 and Shahid did tell me to postpone the film as he felt that for three films to release at the same time would make all suffer and also cut into the promotional events but he also said that the final decision is mine.”

Top 5 rocking Holi numbers from Bollywood

Holi songs have always been a hot favorite among Bollywood makers because they symbolize masti, colors, music, entertainment and fun-n-frolic. As the festival of ‘Holi’ knocks at the door yet again this season, lets have a look at some of the most popular Holi songs from Bollywood without which any holi bash seems to be incomplete.

Rang Barse:
One of the most memorable and cherished songs from Bollywood which ranks the top among all other songs is undoubtedly Rang Barse which displays clear chemistry and sparks between the ex-lovers Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha along with Jaya Bachchan and Sanjeev Kumar.

Holi Ke din dil khil jaate hain:
This song featuring Hema Malini, Dharmendra, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan is from the blockbuster hit ‘Sholay’ which is known for its simple joyful celebrations and the message of social harmony and love.

Are Jaa Re Hat Natkhat:
Though belonging to 1950’s era, this is the longest Holi song starring Sandhya and is still one of the most popular and loved holi song which has a religious note attached to it.

Aaj Na Chhodenge Bus Humjoli:
This song from Kati Patang features Rajesh Khanna and Asha Parekh and is famous for its naughtiness and the note of fun and masti underlying the entire song.

Holi Khele Raghuveera:
Amitabh Bachchan created a landmark with his Rang Barse song in Silsila. Three decades post Silsila he has tried to re-create the magic with the holi song in the same style as such in ‘Baghban’, this time with Hema Malini. Not to mention here that he has been quite successful in pleasing his fans, though only to some extent.

Rakhi Sawant’s suitor to make his debut on smaller screen

He was one of the suitors in Rakhi Sawant’s Swayamvar show and despite being a strong contendor he lost. However, Rishikesh-based Manmohan Tiwari has no regrets as the show gave him recognition and he has bagged a role as Awadh Thakur in the soon-to-be-launched show “Jamunia” on NDTV Imagine produced by Beyond Dreams Entertainment Limited. The show will go on air this March.

The show deals with the story of an orphan girl called Jamunia, whose maternal uncle marries her off into a rich palace for money. The palace has a curse that no woman can survive there but Jamunia is unaware of the fact.

“‘Jamunia’ is a tale dedicated to every Indian woman who loves her family dearly and is ready to help and support them in any given situation.

It portrays the power of a woman who can go to any extent to save her family from any harm that befalls them. ‘Jamunia’ exposes the territories and locations never seen on television,” said Yash Patnaik, producer of the show.

Nevertheless, Manmohan gets irritated when he is reminded of the fact that Rakhi’s Swayamvar helped him get a foothold in the glamour world. He says, “But why is the finger being pointed at me? Even Rakhi was playing a game and if she was not questioned, then why me? She fooled 16 men but thankfully God spared me.”

Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi acting pricey after recent hits

Arshad Warsi has been here for a long time and despite giving many hits and having displayed immense potentials, he never could manage to get the appreciation he deserves. But now, post ‘Golmaal Returns’ and ‘Ishqiya’, things have taken a positive turn for the actor who has bagged in a whopping Rs 3 crores to be part of the third segment of the ongoing Gol Maal franchise. The producers Ashtavinayak finalized the deal with him this Monday. It may be mentioned here that the sum is even higher than Kareena Kapoor who has a 3-film deal with the producers.

Says Rohit, “We were really keen to have him in the film. And yes the price has been worked out between Arshad and the producers. So he’s on.”

Sharman Joshi will not be a part of ‘Gol Maal 3’ and reports have it that he turned down the third part of Gol Maal through his secretary.

Says Rohit Shetty, “Even before the scripting of Gol Maal 3 Sharman sent me a message through his secretary saying he had other plans. I immediately looked for a replacement and am very happy with Kunal Khemu. Any regrets about Sharman? None at all. In fact we met at the airport recently and there wasn’t any mention of Gol Maal 3. ”

That Rohit is feeling sour with Sharman and Arshad acting pricey after recent hits can be seen in this comment where without naming anyone he says, “There’re lots of very talented actors out here who are fabulous side attractions but can never be the main course.”

Kareena Kapoor recommends Kunal Khemu for ‘Golmaal 3′

Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan have been going steady for quite sometime now. So, it did not come as a surprise when Bebo recommended Kunal Khemu to director Rohit Shetty for ‘Golmaal 3’ as Khemu happens to be the beau of Soha Ali Khan, Saif’s sister.

Recently Saif, Kareena, Soha and Kunal met for dinner where Kareena got to know Kunal better and accepted his talents. She discussed his movies and forthcoming projects and commented that he was making the wrong choices with his movies.

Rohit was hunting for another star and after Kareena convinced him, he made up his mind to cast Kunal along with Ajay Devgan Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Arshad Warsi, Mithun Chakraborty and Kareena herself.
