The first and the most awaited Bollywood wedding has kick started with a gala Sangeet ceremony of made-for-each-other couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza which was held at Taj Land End and witnessed the whos who from our industry.
The guest list was a pretty impressive one including the likes of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, Boney Kapoor and still so gorgeous Sridevi, SRK and Gauri, Malaika Arora Khan, Asin, Sameera Reddy, Shamita Shetty, Dia Mirza, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kapoor and so on and so forth. While the male guests like Arbaaz Khan, Karan Johar and even Abhishek Bachchan opted for traditional kurta payjamas, the ladies were seen in heavy kurtis and lehengas.
However gorgeous our Bollywood babes looked, the lady who stole all the glances was undoubtedly bride-to-be Genelia D’Souza who looked pretty and elegant in an exquisite lehenga choli with delicate embroidery designed by the ace Bollywood’s fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
There is no denying the fact that currently, Katrina Kaif is one of the most bankable actresses in our tinsel town. As the beauty mints out successful item numbers in a row, she has also geared up for some hardcore action sequences for ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ which stars Salman Khan in the main lead.
These high voltage action sequences will be shot in Cuba under the direction of renowned Hollywood action director Conrad Palmisano of Transformers fame. Though the makers had suggested that Katrina went for mild and easy stunts, but the actress insisted she wants to perform the same stunts that Salman Khan is performing, to which Conrad Palmisano agreed. As such, the fans will now get to see Katrina doing the free falling and midair fighting sequences with Salman Khan!
Katrina Kaif confirmed the reports saying that she has played a lot of feminine roles in the past, and though the stunts are scary, they are a lot fun too! She takes these stunts as a challenge and even says that at this stage of her career, she wants to take these sorts of challenges!

On Sunday night-Monday Morning, Sanjay Dutt held a bash at the Aurus restaurant in the suburbs of Mumbai to celebrate the success of his Agneepath role and film and must say here that the bash was an eventful one. Everything was rolling on smoothly till around 4.30 am when Shah Rukh Khan entered the venue in a drunken condition straight after the Filmfare awards with three bodyguards.
SRK headed straight towards director Sirish Kunder to give vent to his grudge he had been nursing against him since quite sometime. The argument apparently started when SRK confronted Shirish about his nasty remarks on RA.One. During RA.One’s release, Kunder had tweeted: “I just heard a 150 Cr firework fizzle.”
SRK assaulted Sirish and things heated up so much that Baba Dewan had to intervene. It was finally Sanjay Dutt who pulled the actor away.
Farah Khan confirmed the incident. “Shirish, my husband, was beaten up by Shah Rukh and his three bodyguards in Sanjay Dutt’s party. Shah Rukh asked Shirish why he had tweeted against him… There was no provocation from our side. He had screamed at Shirish telling him that he would destroy me as well,” she said.
Shocked and hurt Farah says, “Shah Rukh has always told me that physical abuse is the worst way to sort out a problem, and that it means the person who’s hitting has either a personal or professional crisis going on. It saddens me to see him doing the same.”
Nevertheless, you enjoy some clicks of beautiful Bollywood ladies at the bash…….
The Bhatts are getting a bit too sentimental on the return of Vikram Bhatt to their camp. So much so that they decided to start ‘Raaz 3’ on Vikram’s birthday. Vikram celebrated his birthday on Friday and the crew of the flick began the shoot on Sunday.
“‘Raaz 3’ is what can be termed as the ‘Horror of the hearts’. It is a completely new story, a romantic one at that, which would surprise and shock you. Yet again the legacy of Vishesh Films would continue with newcomers giving some great music to the film. I am sure it would break all records that films coming from our production house have created so far,” says Mukesh Bhatt.
Mahesh Bhatt posted some pictures from the first day of the shoot on his social networking site with related tweets. Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter has joined Vikram’s team as an assistant director. Bhatt tweeted, “My daughter Shaheen begins her journey as an assistant with Vikram Bhatt who was once my assistant!”
The film has been written by Shagufta Rafique. “It is a brave script which explores the horrors of the human heart,” Bhatt tweeted.

Kareena Kapoor has given the last hit with ‘Bodyguard’ and with her forthcoming ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ set for February 10 release, the lady is busy these days with various promotional events. She was in Dubai with co-star Imran Khan to promote the film. Imran looked dashing in a beard and Kareena Kapoor looked stunning as ever in a black Burberry dress.
Kapoor was at her usual easy going and bubbly self. “Wow, I’m watching the promos of our film again after maybe a month and it all just looks so refreshing,” she said adding, “The character I play in “EMAET” is one that I haven’t played in a while. In my recent films, such as “Bodyguard”, I play your typical desi girl. And here I am playing this modern, fun-loving girl, which probably comes closest to my character in “Jab We Met” (2009).”
EMAET is the story of two strangers who get drunk one night in Vegas and wake up the next morning to find themselves married to one another. The film is said to be inspired from a Hollywood flick but Imran denied any similarity to it.
“We’ve been asked that before, but the only similarity here is that both films are based in Vegas,” assured Khan adding, “Come on, who doesn’t go to Vegas and get drunk. Even “The Hangover” had a similar premise.”

Salman Khan is known in Bollywood for his softer side despite a tougher outer appearance. He has done his bit for the society through his charitable organization ‘Being Human’. This time the actor has offered a helping hand to those jail inmates who have completed their jail term but are still rotting in confinement because of poverty or inability to pay the jail fine.
Being Human organization has written to the jail authorities offering to pay the fine for some 400 inmates so that they can claim their freedom. The jail authorities have now sent the letter to the legal section. Jail authorities are awaiting clearance from the administration and once all permissions are granted, Salman’s foundation will submit about Rs 40 lakhs that will be used to set free about 400 inmates in jails across the state of UP.
“In about 63 jails in UP, there are 400 such inmates who have completed their jail term but are still inside because they cannot pay fine due to financial problems,” says Vijay Kumar Gupta, Inspector General (UP).

Salman Khan created a new trend in Bollywood with the digital posters of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’. Now, after a slew of fake posters on the web, Aamir Khan has finally released the first official digital poster of his forthcoming ‘Talaash’ which stars Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee and is directed by Reema Kagti.
With the array of fake digital posters, both Farhan Akhtar and Aamir Khan had warned the fans of the same. Farhan Akhtar clarified on Twitter, “Please beware of a fake ‘Talaash’ poster doing the rounds…. it is not the official first look. That is still to happen (sic).”
Aamir also hired a US based foreign cyber agency to look into the matter. “We are all concerned of these fake posters. Yes, an online agency has been put on to the job of fact- finding. We would like to clear that none of the poster on net are even remotely close to the actual designs,” Aamir told a daily.
The movie has the tagline – the answer lies within. Talaash is a collaboration between Reliance Entertainment, Excel Entertainment and Aamir Khan Production.

Rajkumar Santoshi is set to start a film with the novel pairing of Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor. The film will be a romantic comedy and Santoshi maintains that it has in no way any links with his superhit ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ which starred Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif. The film goes on floors from Feb 1.
Giving in more details about the film, Santoshi says, “It’s in the same creative space as my Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. Abhay and Sonam would be captured in a comedy of errors like Ranbir and Katrina, though this is a completely different script and has no bearing on Ajab Prem…”
Santoshi goes a long way in bonding with the lead actors’ parents. While he shares a great rapport with Anil Kapoor since ‘Lajja’, his association with the Deola also goes a long way back. The film will be produced by Santoshi and the cinematography will be done by the ace-cameraman Ravi K Chandran.
