The pairing of Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ hit the right notes and the film went on to be a huge box-office success. The two have been paired up once again for Yash Chopra’s forthcoming untitled flick, only with a difference that this happens to be a love triangle and the other female lead in the film is Katrina Kaif.
Recently, SRK and Anushka shot for the film on a bike through the busy bylanes of Britain’s capital. This particular bike scene was shot on the first day at the shoot and brought back the memories of the two stars as Taani and Suri riding a similar two-wheeler in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
After the shoot was over, SRK took Anushka for a fun ride along the streets of London and sure enough, they were aided with ample security to prevent mobbing.

What could be a better way to pay tribute to an evergreen beauty and talented actress than opting for a performance on some of her greatest hit songs. So, it was when Priyanka Chopra paid a beautiful tribute to yesteryear actor Rekha at the 13th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards on Saturday.
Priyanka Chopra performed on some of Rekha’s evergreen numbers before Rekha herself came on stage to receive special honours for outstanding achievement in Indian cinema at the ceremony, organised by Wizcraft International Entertainment.
Priyanka performed on the remixed version of In aakhon ki masti ke from Umrao Jaan, Salaam-e-Ishq meri jaan, Pyar do pyaar lo and Pardesiya. Later, the veteran actress herself joined Piggie Chops on stage and the two gave a naughty performance on ‘Rafta Rafta’.
On receiving the honours, Rekha said, “I would like to dedicate this award to my producers who have inspired me and the young actors of our industry like Ranbir Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Priyanka Chopra…who are super talented. I am proud that I continue to be a part of the film fraternity.”
‘Rockstar’ and ‘The Dirty Picture’ ruled the IIFA Awards this year with bagging awards in most of the categories. Ranbir Kapoor was honoured with the Best Actor Award for his rocking performance in ‘Rockstar’ and Vidya Balan walked away with the Best Actress Award for getting dirty as sensuous Silk Smitha in ‘The Dirty Picture’.
Vidyut bagged in the Best Male Debutant Award for ‘Force’ and Parineeti Chopra was adjudged the best female debutantes for her impressive performance in ‘Ladies Vs Ricky Behl’.

Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor stole the limelight at the 13th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards with their duo performance. Their performance started with Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Rockstar’ entry on ‘Saada Haq’ followed by “Tai tai phish” from “Chillar Party”. However, the show took an impressive turn only after father Rishi entered the stage saying his famous “Karz” dialogue — “Kya tumne kabhi kisi se pyaar kiya”. Then the father-son duo together grooved on the song “Paisa yeh paisa” from the Rishi’s hit film “Karz”.
The audience went berseck with applauses when the two stars competed with each other on the ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ version of each of their films. In the end, Ranbir Kapoor accepted his defeat, bowing at his father’s feet to take his blessings.
Ranbir Kapoor once again stole his fans’ hearts when he obliged to hosts Ayushmann Khurrana and Chitrangada Singh’s request to imitate his family members.
“Tum log muzhe pitwaoge (I’ll be bashed for this),” said Ranbir Kapoor reacting on the request and later, went on to mimic his great grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor by saying one of his dialogues from film “Mughal-e-Azam” (Salim! Anarkali ko deewar mein chunwa do). He sang a song from his grandfather Raj Kapoor’s film “Kiski muskurahato pe ho…” and danced like father Rishi Kapoor on “Paisa yeh paisa”. The best part of the entire episode was his hilarious imitation of Kareena Kapoor on her song “Bebo main bebo”.

Bipasha Basu, a self-confessed fitness freak never looked so fit and content as she does these days. The dusky Bong beauty made heads turn as she graced the green carpet at the IIFA Rocks event in a sexy, Shivan & Narresh sari. Rakhi Sawant, the actress known for her big assets and a bigger mouth, has once again proved that she knows no restraints when it comes to opening her mouth. After giving free advices to Rahul Gandhi and Baba Ramdev, the girl now turns to Kareena Kapoor to advise her about whom she should marry and why she should do item numbers.
At the Radio Mirchi Awards 2012, Rakhi said: “I love Kareena and I am really happy that Kareena will get readymade kids. No, Kareena! You deserve a better husband! You deserve Shahid Khan.” She was then corrected by the reporters that he is Shahid Kapoor.
Rakhi said: “Khan, Kapoor, they’re the same na… I am saying it from the very first day that Shahid Kapoor is the best! He is a bachelor and she (Kareena) is a spinster! You know, I like Saif, but his kids are so old!”
Rakhi Sawant even had an opinion about Kareena not signing for item number. “I didn’t like the fact that Kareena said that she doesn’t like the tag of an item girl; then why did she do an item number.
She’s my favourite actress, I love her! But why doesn’t she like being called an item girl? Even Aishwarya Rai, who is the best actress ever in Bollywood, has done item numbers, even Katrina is doing them, so she (Kareena) should understand,” she said.
This was not all for Rakhi Sawant at the award function. She even had a war of eyes with Mika Singh. When Mika walked the red carpet and spotted Rakhi talking to the media persons, he went ahead and joined Rakhi Sawant to pose for the photos. Initially, Rakhi did not object, but when Mika tried to get too close to her and even touched her, Rakhi cast a glaring glance at him. Thereafter, Mika kept himself in check.
Well, it is high time, Rakhi paid more attention to her sinking career than her publicity gimmicks!!
