Now, this was a birthday party with some difference, considering the fact that it was a Bollywood birthday party but without fights and with patching up of old enemies. Yes, it was Saif Ali Khan’s birthday party at Four Seasons in Worli on August 16 where the long cold war between Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu seemed to come to an end.
The rift between Bips and Bebo has its roots at the sets of ‘Ajanabee’. It grew stronger as Kareena called John Abraham ‘expressionless’ on Karan Johar ’s show and Bipasha continuing with making an unflattering remark (she called Bebo an actress with ‘too many expressions’) about Kareena.
But this time Kareena herself took an initiative and personally invited Bipasha for the party. Bipasha was surprised to hear from Bebo and gladly accepted the invitation. At the party, the two girls took no time in breaking the ice and warming up. They simply got talking.
While the girls went for a friendship day, it was not the same for the guys. Though Saif had invited both Shahrukh and Salman, while SRK attended with wife Gauri, Arbaaz Khan made up for brother Salman’s absence.

Aamir Khan celebrated his 43rd birthday this Friday on March 14. For a change, the actor who always shuns the media had a number of media persona and also some fans at his Bandra residence this year. Instead of giving the paparazzi a slip, as he usually does, Aamir came up to them and spoke with a broad smile on his face.
He even cut a small cake with 43 candles on it. Reporters sang ‘Happy Birthday Aamir’ after the superstar blew the candles.
As for the best gift he got this year, Aamir said: “Actually it is a card that Kiran made for me. She is a good artist and last night she made a lovely card for me. I really liked it.”

Two beautiful Bollywood ladies share their birthdays on the same day- January 31. While Amrita Rao threw a theme party of ‘Wigs and Hats’ on Jnauary 30th night, she had Preity Zinta as her surprise guest. The two Aquarian girls even cut a cake together.
Says Preity, “Amrita is a really really sweet girl and she has been inviting me every year for us to celebrate our birthday together. This year I said I had to go. Besides it was a theme party…wigs and hats. And I love hats. I’m a very hat person. So I went in one of my favourite hats. They made it public this Wednesday when they placed half-a-page advertisement in a marathi newspaper ‘Saamna’ wishing Bal Thackeray on his birthday by Mr Sanjay Dutt and Manyata Dutt. Media is all abuzz with the news that Sanjay and Manyata had tied the knot on October 19, 2006 and that Dutt has her name tattooed on his body.

Two Bong bombshells of Bollywood, Bipasha Basu and Koena Mitra, share their birthdays on the same day, 7th Jan and both celebrated their birthdays differently.
Bipasha was in Goa with her beau John Abraham. She spent her birthday relaxing on the beach, hitting the spa and tucking into Goan food. John Abraham and Ritesh Deshmukh share their birthdays on the same day, December 17. However, Bollywood’s dashing hunk, John spent his 33rd birthday having a quiet dinner with family and close friends while Ritesh spent his 30th birthday by throwing a lavish bash and inviting all his friends from Bollywood.
John spent his birthday with 200 visually impaired children at an organization called ‘Happy Home’. Being the brand ambassador for Fast Track eyewear, he gifted special eye glasses to these children. The handicapped children not only sang ‘Happy Birthday’ and cut a cake, they also gifted John a special birthday card in Braille which they read out to him.
A deeply moved John preferred not to talk much about this special and personal moment but said “I am not comfortable talking about such experiences but yes I was moved. It was my most special birthday.”

On Wednesday, December 12, actress Deepika Padukone was the centre of attention at the birthday party of cricketer Yuvraj Singh. The party, at Mumbai’s J W Marriott Hotel, was attended by close friends and relatives.
Yuvraj was obviously in a mood to party after proving wrong all the criticism about him at the five-day format of cricket and Deepika was cheekily complementing his mood.

The 65th birthday would rank as the Big B’s quietest yet. Junior Bachchan was shooting in Namibia for Goldie Behl’s ‘Drona’, daughter-in-law, Aishwarya, was in Boston completing up ‘Pink Panther’ and wife Jaya could hold up no celebrations coz she was down with a bout of flu.
