Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Aisha’ may have added another link to her list of flops but the girl definitely is on the like list of most of the film makers. She is already going to wrap up Anees Bazmee’s Thank You, which is being shot in Canada. And now, she has agreed to be part of Abbas Mustan’s version of the Hollywood film The Italian Job opposite Abhishek Bachchan, her co-star in ‘Delhi 6’.

The role was earlier meant to be played by Katrina Kaif but the actress ditched the makers due to date problems. It was here that stylish Sonam Kapoor stepped in. With the kind of fan following Sonam Kapoor has managed to make and also with Neil Nitin Mukesh and Bobby Deol starring as well, the movie is surely going to make some stirs.

It is not long back when Priyanka Chopra claimed on a talk show that she was good friends with Katrina Kaif . So, when it came out that Katrina Kaif walked out of Anurag Basu’s next as soon as Priyanka Chopra was also chosen to be a part of the cast, it definitely raised quite a few brows. This film had Ranbir and Katrina in the lead roles. Later, Priyanka Chopra was also added to the cast and it was then when Katrina backed out.

However, the reason is definitely not the cat-fight or any sort of rivalry between the two actresses. Sources say that Katrina is interested only in those films which have her as the solo heroine. “I am not saying I won’t do films with other leading ladies, but for now, I’m happy in the space I am. Why should I unnecessarily rock the boat? And yes, I am finally about to lock the deal to produce my film. It’s a fabulous role and I’ve been angling for the remake rights for quite some time. I’d like to get down to it as soon as possible,” said Katrina.

Also, Katrina has finally got the rights to produce the remake of a French film and she needs time to work on this personal and close to her heart project. In the film, she will be playing a “scheming gold-digger.” Besides, she is also working on Farah Khan’s Tees Marr Khan and has Zoya Akhtar’s next and Dostana 2 lined up in a row.

Neetu Chandra had replaced Raima Sen for the hot and sultry role in the forthcoming ‘Rann’. Once again, Chandra has snatched a role from Bong beauty Raima Sen, this time in Jag Mundhra’s forthcoming thriller ‘Apartment’. The movie will see Neetu playing a simple girl for a change and also stars ex-miss universe Tanushree Dutta, Anupam Kher and Rohit Roy.

The story of the movie goes as:

Preeti Sengupta (Tanushree Dutta) is an airhostess living in with her boyfriend Karan Malhotra (Rohit Roy). They share a nice 2BHK apartment in the northern suburbs of Mumbai and are befriended by their elderly neighbor Madhusudan Tanha (Anupam Kher), a struggling poet and lyricist.

When Preeti suspects Karan’s fidelity and throws him out of her apartment, she advertises for a tenant to share her apartment. Enter Neha Bhardwaj (Neetu Chandra), a modest small-town girl asking for accommodation. The two girls soon become close until things begin to go disastrously wrong - slowly and steadily and Neha and Preeti are torn apart by suspicion, deceit and betrayal.

Will the movie revive Neetu Chandra’s sinking career and make Raima Sen regret the loss, only time will tell……

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan may have chosen to take it easy post her marriage, but a recent development in her career has made all those speechless who feel that the beautiful actress’ career is no longer on an upswing. She has broken the record of Kareena Kapoor with her whopping ten crores contract for her latest film. Earlier, this honor was with Kareena Kapoor with a figure of seven crores.

The film is to be produced Bobby Pushkarna, of the critically acclaimed film ‘Page 3′. Pushkarna was keen on cast Ash only and was determined to shelve the project if the lady did not give an affirmative nod. Finally, after a three-month long chase, Pushkarna was able to persuade her to do his film.

The deal has not yet been finalized in pen and paper but both the parties seem positive.

Both Preity Zinta and Shilpa Shetty are the owners of the IPL teams. Both have been successful actresses on the big screen. So, it is but natural that there would be jealousy, bitching and cat-fights between the two but the kind of statements Preity gave in for Shilpa on the occasion of FICCI’s 10th anniversary celebration can be called least professional.

When asked about the Shilpa-Preity IPL competition, Preity said, “She is not going to play cricket.” She then added, “I own a team, I am an investor in the team, I am the chairperson of the team. It is very difficult for them to digest that I am the boss.”

Preity here supposedly forgot that even she is not going to play cricket and that Shilpa is the boss too of her IPL team Rajasthan Royals. Shetty girl was politically correct saying, “Our teams are in competition.”

When the money involved is a whopping sum of Rs. 2.5 crores, even the coolest of guys are expected to give in to the temptation. Here the beauties involved are two Bollywood female celebrities, Bipasha Basu and Juhi Chawla who are said to be competing with each other over the role as the judge in the reality TV show, ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’.

Bipasha has already received goos responses as the guest judge on the show last year and is not willing to let go of such huge pay. On the other hand, Juhi does not have much work or endorsements these days and has clearly mentioned that she has all the possible dates to give them.

However, the official statement by the Sony producer states, “Sony has approached both Juhi and Bipasha but none has been signed. First it was the strike and then the unfortunate blasts that have put the formal proceedings of the show off track. In fact the show was supposed to be launched in February 2009 but looks like that too will get pushed ahead.”

What happens when two hot Babes come together? Following it comes a huge cat-fight along with exchange of verbal assaults. Talking about Rakhi Sawant and Sambhavna Seth, the two item girls had a huge fight on Rakhi’s birthday on 24 November.

What made up Rakhi’s mind is yet to be understood but the gal called up her rival Sambhavna and invited her to the party at a suburban restaurant. Sambhavna was reluctant to come but Rakhi insisted.

What we saw next was the two girls fighting. There are two different versions as to what actually sparked the fight.

According to Sambhavna, when she arrived at the party, Rakhi called her a chudail (witch) in front of everyone. Sambhavna says she couldn’t take the remark lightly and responded to Rakhi is the same vein.

Pointing towards Rakhi, Sambhavna said: “Ek (chudail) toh mere saamne khadi hai”. Then a heated argument followed between the two item girls.

But according to Rakhi’s version, it is Sambhavna who first began “bitching” about Rakhi with other guests at the party. Rakhi said it was then she told her to leave.

Interestingly, both the item girls accuse each other of doing this stunt for publicity.

Shilpa Shetty’s ‘Big Boss 2’ has been very eventful right from the beginning. First, it was the sad exit of Jade Goody and now it is Rakhi Sawant who is going about telling TV channels that a contestant on the show has probably been changes because of Shilpa. Also, some people held a dharna in Lonavla in front of the Big Boss house, threw stones at the channel colors’ office and burnt Shilpa’s effigy.

Shilpa is outraged at Rakhi’s allegations and says,

“I don’t even want to talk about her. But I was very hurt. I really like Rakhi. Why was she talking this way about me without knowing the facts?

How does she know the facts about how contestants were chosen? I don’t think it’s right for anyone to shoot off her mouth in this way.

You may have an outspoken image that you’re always eager to uphold. But please don’t flaunt that image at my cost.”

To be known here that a person named Ramdas Atahavle was approached to go into the house. He claims he was dropped because of Shilpa’s manoeuvres.

Shilpa appears bewildered at these charges.

“It’s the channel’s prerogative to select or reject a candidate. Until two days prior to the show I didn’t even know who was going.

The format doesn’t allow the host to know the contestants. Mr Athavle claims he was dropped on discriminatory grounds because he was a Dalit and Sanjay Nirupam was taken instead.”

An outraged Shilpa says, “Why was I being blamed if a candidate didn’t make it into Big Boss? Why were they throwing stones at the channel Colors’ office and burning my effigy?

Why me? Every time I’m associated with something people try to use my name for their own purposes. Please leave me alone.”

My phone went ballistic on Tuesday. I’m in the midst of a dozen things and then to be badgered like this! I’m human and I don’t like my name being constantly used. Don’t hit where it hurts the most. I think they should start auctioning my effigies.”

Shilpa laughs at Rakhi saying,

“But really, Rakhi Sawant takes the cake. What authority does she have to make such charges against me?

I’d have Rakhi know that it’s the channel’s prerogative to decide the participants. I’m hired by the channel to do a job. My jurisdiction is to go on stage and host the show.”

Salman Khan did it again; previously it occurred when he fought with Vivek Oberoi and Priyanka Chopra making Priyanka Cry this time he fought fist to fist with Shah Rukh Khan at Katrina’s birthday party. And he was finally listened shouting loudly that “Shah Rukh and I will never patch up!”

No doubt about it…. Kareena Kapoor’s career is on a never before ascent…. What more proof does it require than that she has been the choice for Ajay Devgan’s to be announced next directorial venture. What makes it more conspicuous is the fact that the actor-turned-director has chose Kareena over her talented wife Kajol Devgan.

The chemistry between Ajay Devgan and Kareena Kapoor had already set the cash registers ringing in ‘Omkara’. They will also be seen in Ashtavinayak’s ‘Golmaal Returns’ which is set for release later this year.

If this was not enough, Kareena Kapoor is also being considered by Karan Johar for his next venture ‘My Name Is Khan’ starring SRK, but that will be only when Kajol turns down the offer.

The cold war between the heroines of Mohit Suri’s ‘Awaarapan’ is too obvious. Recently, when the two were to do a promotional shoot for Awarapan for a music channel in Mumbai, they refused to give a joint interview not did they pass smiles a t each other.

However, director Mohit Suri appears to be ignorant as he says, “I’m not aware of this! They never shot together for Awarapan so I’m not sure how a problem, if any, would arise between them to begin with! At a recent photo shoot they appeared to be very friendly with each other from what I saw.”
