The second season of ‘Big Boss’ has started off with too many unpredictable events happening. The entry of Jade Goody in the house of Big Boss had created quite a stir and now a shocking development took place yesterday as Jade had to quit to undergo treatment as she has been detected with cervical cancer. Jade was already undertaken several tests in UK owing to her illness but the results of the test confirmed a cancer only on Monday.
According to a leading UK newspaper, Jade was called into the Diary Room where she spoke to her consultant in UK by phone. She was reportedly hysterical as she announced to her housemates: “I have cancer”. After receiving the news from her agent, Jade Goody bid farewell to her inmates and headed back to UK.
Reacting to the new Shilpa Shetty expressed,
“It is unbelievable how life is so unpredictable and finds a way to distract and derail you from your plans; my prayers are with Jade, her family in this hour and hope that she is going back with happy memories from this country.”
If Deepika Padukone saw them this time, she would surely, at least for a second, regret her decision about dumping Yuvraj. Now, this was a birthday party with some difference, considering the fact that it was a Bollywood birthday party but without fights and with patching up of old enemies. Yes, it was Saif Ali Khan’s birthday party at Four Seasons in Worli on August 16 where the long cold war between Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu seemed to come to an end.
The rift between Bips and Bebo has its roots at the sets of ‘Ajanabee’. It grew stronger as Kareena called John Abraham ‘expressionless’ on Karan Johar ’s show and Bipasha continuing with making an unflattering remark (she called Bebo an actress with ‘too many expressions’) about Kareena.
But this time Kareena herself took an initiative and personally invited Bipasha for the party. Bipasha was surprised to hear from Bebo and gladly accepted the invitation. At the party, the two girls took no time in breaking the ice and warming up. They simply got talking.

The reason for Adnan’s absence was that he has been hospitalized due to a bad case of food poisoning which he suffered a couple of days back. Adnan really regretted missing the opportunity but is fine now and on a way to speedy recovery.

She is indeed a daddy’s girl, or so could be seen when Deepika Padukone enthralled sports lovers with her badminton skills at the Tata Open Badminton tournament in Mumbai last Thursday. Along with her was Soha Ali Khan who played with Aparna Popat. Deepika teamed up with her father Prakash Padukone who in turn was quite happy with her daughter’s performance.
“She was quiet good. She was not the no. one, she was no. three or four in the state but she used to play very regularly until she reached the tenth standard but she has not played for a long time…I mean after that she went into modelling and then got into films,” said Prakash Padukone.
To be known here that Deepika played at the State level in Bangalore until her mid-teens.
“I am very happy to come here. I love to play badminton. I have been playing badminton since my childhood, so I think I’ll enjoy participating in it a lot and I guess I am going to play also here,” said Deepika.
Soha, who has always been a big sports lover, was excited at playing along with the professionals. “I have always loved badminton. I played it in school a lot. I played it in university. I haven’t ever played it at such a professional level before with the professional players like Prakash Padukone and Deepika Padukone. It was great fun because I am a huge fan of the sport,” said Soha.
For the viewers, it was definitely a memorable moment to see their favorite stars sizzle at the badminton court.

Producer Suneil Shetty is facing a real problem having to promote his forthcoming ‘Mission Istanbul’ without the leading protagonists, Zayed Khan and Vivek Oberoi.
On Sunday, both the stars were was unable to attend a huge musical concert in Dehradun by the film’s producers Popcorn Entertainment. Only producer Sunil Shetty, director Apoorva Lakhia and actor Nikiten Dheer (who plays the main antagonist) along with the musicians were present. While Vivek is shooting in South Africa for a Tips film, Zayed, though in the country, was committed to shoot for Subhash Ghai.
Ironically, Sunil intends to promote ‘Mission Istaanbul’ in a big way in non-metropolitan areas like Uttaranchal and Bihar where the stars provide face value. Sadly, it will have to be done without either of the film’s leading men.
