Slumdog Millionaire stars Dev Patel and Freida Pinto have been romantically linked together since the time the duo first appeared together in the movie. Recently, they were also rumored to have been engaged together but the couple vehemently denied the rumors. Nevertheless, time and again they have been spotted together looking very comfortable in each other’s company. They were also seen together in New York at the premiere of Dev’s latest movie The Last Airbender. As usual, Freida looked perfectly poised and elegant as ever in an off-shoulder bright green short dress matching Dev’s formal looks in every way. Check out the two at the event…..

Having made his mark in Bollywood and proving himself yet again with ‘Rajneeti’, Prakash Jha has rolled up his sleeves once again for his magnum opus ‘Draupadi’, which is touted to be an adaptation of the great Indian epic Mahabharata.
Jha wanted to take Madhuri Dixit for the lead role in his Hindi version but could not do so. Now, for the English version of the movie, Jha has Angelina Jolie in his mind.
Talking to a news daily, Jha said, “‘Draupadi’ is the ultimate tribute to womanhood. I’ve wanted to make it for years. Yes, Madhuri was my choice earlier. But now I’m going to make it as an international film with an international cast on a budget that would make the film a grand epic.”
“The actors have to be exotic in their features since my ‘Draupadi’ would be set in the mountains. If you’ve seen Peter Brooks’s celebrated stage adaptation of the Mahabharata it starred Mallika Sarabhai who does have exquisite features,” Jha said.
Whether or not, Prakash will be able to convince Jolie for the role, only time can tell!!

Seems Mallika Sherawat is on no mood to return to her desi tinsel town as Hollywood has embraced her with open arms and she has a handful of offers there. After ‘Hisss’ and ‘Love, Barack’ opposite Laz Alonso, the sexy bombshell has been offered a film with none other than Salma Hayek. The movie is supposedly based on the women abuse around the globe. Though Mallika seems eager to do the film, the formal announcement is yet to be made.
Mallika impressed many Hollywood biggies when her film ‘Hisss’ was recently screened at the Cannes Film Festival and she also got friendly with Hayek at Cannes. Even after they returned to the US, they were in constant touch and arranged to meet each other for dinner few days back. It was then when Salma narrated the script of this women centric film and suggested that Mallika play the main protagonist.
Mallika’s official spokesperson neither confirmed nor denied the news and said, “We haven’t received any such information as yet, but we will be making an announcement if anything is finalised.”

She is a perky Pune girl. This Urdu, Gujarati, English speaking Muslim girl has made it big in Hollywood at just 26. Talking about Noureen DeWulf, the Indian girl has managed to bag in roles with the cream of Hollywood such as Jennifer Lopez (’The Back Up Plan’), Mathew McConaughey (’Ghosts Of Girlfriends Past’) and Ving Rhames (’Mission Impossible’ series), besides a clutch of other notable films.
She was chosen by an American magazine as “one of the most desirable women on the planet” and has featured in Maxim magazine’s Hot 100 list.
However, she has expressed her desire to work in Bollywood and also to work with Rekha. “I love Bollywood. I grew up watching Bollywood films like Sita Aur Geeta, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Coolie and so many. There is a lot of talent there and if an opportunity is there and presented in a right format, I’d love to do a Bollywood film,” she said adding, “I’d love to work with Rekha. I like her. She is so beautiful and she is a great actress. I love (her) Silsila a lot… I’ve watched it so many times.”
Noureen is all said to essay the role of a Muslim character in her forthcoming biggie flick: ‘The Taqwacores’ based on the best selling book by Michael Muhammad Knight.
Noureen said in a tabloid chat, “I may look very American, but am very Indian at heart. The competition is unimaginable. I really don’t know I’ve gotten so far and it’s a mystery to me. I’m planning to come down to India and if there’s a good Bollywood film going for me, I’d like to do it. It’ll be like going back to my roots.”

The much-hyped and perhaps the most awaited summer release ‘Kites’ opened in theatres yesterday and evoked mixed response from the viewers. The major drawback of the movie was its failure to live up to the promises and hype which had been built up with the much hullaboo about sizzling chemistry and passionate romance between Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori.
The storyline of the film is sheer romance but lacks the smoldering and passionate sexual chemistry between the two stars which was what the fans expected. The story of the film is simple and predictable with no new twists. Jai aka J (Hrithik) is a street-smart Las Vegas guy who romances with a rich girl Gina (Kangna Ranaut) for her wealth. When he meets Gina’s brother Tony’s (Nick Brown) fiancee Natasha (Barbara), he falls in love with her. Natasha too falls for him and the lovers elope and then the chase begins.
Set aside the negative aspects of the movie and you have two great looking sexy people with some interesting moments, gripping action sequences in the second half of the film, international look and appeal and best of all, melodious scores by Rajesh Roshan.
The international version seems to be more impressive than the Hindi version considering the global appeal. To sum it all, a one time watch and an average turnout for an over hyped movie!!!

Once again, Hollywood combines with Bollywood in the forthcoming romantic comedy ‘Love, Barack’ where our sexy bombshell Mallika Sherawat plays the lead. The movie is based on the fortunes of a campaign team caught up in a whirlwind of euphoric romances.
The movie has Mallika play a character named is “Aretha Gupta” who is a local Obama volunteer and a month before the election day, Democrat Aretha unexpectedly falls for her Republican counterpart (Alonso), a handsome, dynamic African-American working for the local McCain office.
The character of Aretha Gupta is inspired by Kamala Harris, the attorney general of San Francisco. Mallika Sherawat write on twitter profile that-
“Kamala is a great inspiration and to play a part inspired by her is an actress’s dream. I will B ’shadowing’ Harris to research my new movie. It’s an amazing role. I’m working hard at. I’m ready.”
The movie is co-produced by Govind Menon along with Hollywood producer and William Keenan’s company Nuclear Mango.

After premiering successfully in New York, the Roshans’ much awaited mega budgeted film ‘Kites’ had a glittering premiere in London at Leicester Square. The entire Roshan clan was there to celebrate the moment and they candidly admitted that they were quite anxious to see the fate of the film.
Among those present were Hrithik Roshan, Barbara Mori, Sussanne Roshan, Rakesh Roshan and wife Pinky Roshan, Anurag Kashyap and wife, Rajesh Roshan and wife, plus senior members of the Reliance Big Pictures team.
After the New York premiere on Monday evening, the team had to fly off for the London premiere but that’s when the ash clouds struck again and almost all the flights to Europe had to be cancelled or diverted. It was a nail biting moment for the team who finally made it successfully to London.
Sanjeev Lamba, the CEO of Reliance Big Picture, said, “Flights carrying all of us landed on Monday evening. We were in American and British Airlines. Both landed safely and on time.”

Mallika Sherawat was at Cannes Red Carpet along with brother and co-producer Vikram Lamba to unveil the promo her ambitious forthcoming project ‘Hissss’. This time she kept her appearance simple with once in a white, self -printed, sleeve less, low neck dress, coupled with traditional Indian jewelry and the other time in a blood red, low neck dress with a white feathery coat with her hair open at both times. Her dress has been done by a top designer while her style team, led by Claus Hjelmbak and Ivan Bitton styled her look.
To promote her film in a special way, the actress has planned a special nag pooja on May 16 at the Hotel Majestic on the Cannes croissette. The pooja will be followed by a dance with a 15 foot python wrapped around her for which a 220 pound snake has been specially brought in from the US and Mallika has been rehearsing with it for the last four days. The theatrical trailer of her film will be unveiled by a top Hollywood company and the release date will also be announced.

Cannes Film Festival in French Riviera had every essence of Bollywood on Wednesday as pretty Aishwarya Rai Bachchan impressed everyone with her style and poise as she attended the screening of Ridley Scott`s ‘Robin Hood’ on the opening day of the 12-day run of the 63rd edition of the festival which will run through May 23.
Aishwarya walked down the red carpet hand-in-hand with Eva Longoria Parker (Desperate Housewives) and blew gentle kisses in all directions and waved royally. She blended well with Parker.
Ash was there as a representative of L`Oreal and looked stunning in her flowing off-shoulder gown and a puff with minimal, delicate jewellery and a silver clutch. The 36-year-old Indian actress wore a violet blue fully embroidered tulle and mousseline gown from Elie Saab. The Bachchan Bahu will also be promoting her film ‘Raavan’ along with her star husband Abhishek.

If Hrithik RoshanÆs hot scenes and sizzling chemsitry with Barbara Mori in ‘Kites’ was not enough, the hot hunk is all set to romance another foreign beauty, this time the 20-year-old American actress Kristen Stewart(’Twilight’ and ‘Blue Moon’ fame) in Shekhar KapoorÆs ‘Paani’.
It will be a sort of Romeo-Juliet romantic saga where Hrithik will be a lower-class Mumbai rebel and Kristen will be the fair, delicate, tall and pretty wealthy beauty and then they fall in love…
Kristen was quite positive when the offer was made to her as she is apparently fond of Shekhar’s work. However, Shekhar does not want to divulge much at this point and says, ôI canÆt speak of the cast on record until everything is in place. Too many times IÆve been accused of talking about projects that never happen. But did I announce Buddha or Mandela? No. If people jumped the gun, I canÆt help it. But Paani is a film that IÆm definitely making, and this year.
