After her daredevil stunts in her last release ‘Tezz’, Sameera Reddy turns into a sizzling item girl for Prakash Jha’s political thriller ‘Chakravyuh’. The song titled ‘Kunda Khol’ has been composed by Sandesh Shandilya, sung by singer Sunidhi Chauhan, and the lyrics are by Ashish Sahu.
The song has been shot extensively in Bhopal at Rizwanbagh area of Koh-e-fiza of the old city. “The song is shot in the midst of a naxalite camp. And considering the realism in his films, Prakashji said the makeup has to be dusky to ensure the look of a local girl. I was surprised that he wanted the dusky look, because most of the time, we are expected to be on the fairer side. It’s voluptuousness and dusky skin that make us, Indian women, sexy. It’s a welcome change that this trend of wholesome women has come back and the audience seem to be loving it,” says Sameera.
“Unlike other songs, which have extras dressed up as locals, here they were actually locals. The atmosphere was so realistic that it helped me push myself. Nothing had prepared me for that amount of energy, it really tested my stamina,” she adds.
Prakash Jha is all praises for Sameera and feels that she was just the right choice for the song. “Sameera has that look and she’s such a good dancer. When I told Ganesh about her, he agreed immediately. And she’s done it fabulously. I’m very happy with the song, it’s fantastic,” he says.

This was the grandest welcome Bollywood could have offered to any heroine on her comeback. The entire Bollywood fraternity turned up for Sridevi’s ‘English Vinglish’ premiere and she was basking in praises as the attendees ended up applauding after the screening of the film.

Sridevi, who attended the premiere with hubby Boney Kapoor and family, R Balki and director Gauri Shinde, Sridevi interacted with the media and said: “I am not at all nervous; I am more than just exited! I feel like I am on top of the world! This is a special day for me, my husband and my children! And I would like to thank all those who have come here, and I really hope they like the film!”
Her 15-year-old daughter Jhanvi said: “I am so proud she is the coolest mom.”
Well! We could not agree more!!

The first trailer of Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer YRF’s next ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ has been released and the trailer for sure displays a sizzling chemistry between the two. This is for the first time that King Khan and Katrina Kaif have been paired together and as far as the trailer shows, they rock as a Jodi.
The trailer has no dialogues. Instead, a soul touching poem plays in the background that has been recited by SRK himself. The trailer depicts the epitome of romance with passion, love, cosiness and warmth oozing in every glance and every move.
The film’s promo also shows Shahrukh Khan romancing Anushka Sharma as well. However, this stands nowhere close to the sizzling chemistry that SRK shares with Katrina Kaif.
This film marks the comeback of Yash Chopra in direction. His last film was ‘Veer Zaara’ which happened eight years back. Filmmaker Karan Johar says that it might be his last film.

At an event to promote skin care line Olay, Shilpa said that she was enjoying her role as a mother and had no intentions of returning to the films so soon. “Right now, I am a full-time mother and completely enjoying it. “There are surely lot of insecurities about your weight, skin and the way you look post-pregnancy. But all this becomes a lot easy when you have good and right advice.
There are pressures on every woman but being a celebrity when we are scrutinised every time for everything, the pressure surely increases. But I haven’t started losing weight because it is not on my priority list right now. It is my baby and all that is important for him that tops the list,” she said.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan puts forward a Goddess look for her latest photoshoot for Kalyan Jewellers. Giving her company were director Madhur Bhandarkar and Siddhartha Roy Kapur. The event showcased fabulous collection displayed by the models on the ramp.

The promotions for ‘Raaz 3’ have kickstarted and Bipasha Basu and other cast members are leaving no stones unturned in raising the curiosity quotient for the film. As a part of the promotional strategy, bong beauty Bips was seen handing out nimboo-mirchi to autowallahs in Mumbai this Saturday afternoon. As ‘Raaz 3’ is all about evil, horror and mysteries, it was a unique promotional technique to tie lemons and chillies on auto rickshaws’ dashboards and thus, draw the general public to the theatres.
However, the promotions for the flick turned out to be a horrific experience for Bipasha Basu when, during one such event, the crowd in Ahmedabad got of control and a fan tried to pull her skirt down.Bipasha also injured herself in the process.
However, Bipasha Basu’s (@bipsluvurself) tweet on 29th August has a different story to tell: “So #Raaz3 promotion in Ahmedabad ws awesome.Thank you all fr the crazy amt of love tht we got:) (sic).”
But she did mention about being hurt the next day: “Yes, I did have a nasty fall and hurt my right hand but am absolutely fine now. Little bruising that’s all. Thank you for the concern,” Bipasha had tweeted.

The promotions for Madhur Bhandarkar’s ambitious project ‘Heroine’ have begun and Madhur was spotted with her heroine Kareena Kapoor in the capital addressing the press. The movie is slated for a release on September 21 which happens to be Kareena’s 32nd birthday and when asked why the people should watch this film, the director promptly replied, “Kareena, Kareena, Kareena.”
The film is a female oriented one and Kareena feels that the industry needs to open up on female-oriented films. “It’s a male dominated industry. One Dirty Picture and a Heroine can’t change the tide. It’s not the actor alone but even the director needs to change his mindset,” Kareena said.
Kareena could not avoid the obvious question of her anticipated wedding date with Saif Ali Khan. She replied jokingly, “It’s a Rajya Sabha debate. Everything I do, becomes a national issue, I could well be married you know. How would that make a difference? I could have been married three years ago and still done a Heroine. But yes you will know when I do.”
The complete interview with Kareena Kapoor and Madhur Bhandarkar will be aired this Sunday (September 2, 2012) at 7.30 pm on NDTV 24×7.
Kareena Kapoor plays the role of Bollywood actress Mahi Arora in the film which delves into the personal life of a superstar.
“I think the film is 80 per cent based on reality. I have been watching it while dubbing for the film and I am shocked! After viewing this film, people will know what happens in the personal life of actresses,” said Kareena.
Chitrangada Singh was clicked as she unveiled a new joint ad for PETA and Joker at PVR Cinemas in Juhu, Mumbai.
Chitrangada Singh interacted with the media and said: “I know a lot of celebrities have in the past and are still supporting PETA and I always used to think how much do you really achieve — you have a press meet and a photoshoot is conducted — but I think the most important thing is awareness!”
The caption of the advertisement reads ‘What If Aliens Tested on Humans?’ and features Chitrangada in a bleeding state after an alien uses a syringe-like mascara wand on her eye. The ad was shot by ace photographer Atul Kasbekar. Chitrangada was styled by Mehak Oberoi and the digital imaging was done by Prashish More.
This joint initiative between PETA and Joker has also got a new name – PETAA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Aliens and Animals). “I think it’s a good idea for the consumer to be aware because then you can decide to boycott or not, support or not, certain companies which are still testing on animals”, said Chitrangada Singh.
