The latest name to join the bandwagon of Bollywood actresses shaking their leg on an item number is Neha Dhupia who will gyrate on a special item number for Tigmanshu Dhulia’s forthcoming ‘Saheb, Biwi aur Gangster’ sequel.
The film stars Irrfan, Jimmy Sheirgill, Soha Ali Khan and Mahie Gill and will be shot mainly in Baria, near Vadodara in Gujarat. However, the item number will be shot this September in Jaipur. The musical notes for the song have been composed by Sandeep Chowta and the lyrics have been given by Kausar Munir.
Producer Rahul Mittra says, “Neha is a good dancer. I’m glad her first solo item number is in our project.”
Though this will be Neha’s debut item number in Bollywood, the actress has already done a dance number in 2008 in the Pakistani film Kabhi Pyar Na Karna that starred Moammar Rana, Zara Sheikh and Veena Malik.
With ‘Raaz 3’ coming from the Bhatt camp, the viewers do expect loads of hotness quotient in the film. The teasers show Bipasha Basu, the main protagonist of the film, oozing a lot of oomph and appeal.
Bipasha has proved her dancing mettle in quite a few item numbers like ‘Lucky Boy’ in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, ‘Peeke Tunn’ in ‘Players’, ‘Bipasha’ in ‘Jodi Breakers’ and many more. Now, she gets to groove on yet another item numer ‘Kya Raaz Hai’ in her forthcoming ‘Raaz 3’.
The number has been crooned by Shreya Ghosal and Zubeen and the music has been composed by Jeet Gannguli. The stills of the song show Bips in ultra glam look. ‘Raaz 3’ has been directed by Vikram Bhatt and also stars Emraan Hashmi and Esha Gupta.
They gave our industry a blockbuster film ‘Hum Aapke Hain Kaun’ to be cherished for decades to come. Talking about Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit, the duo have worked together in a number of films like ‘Saajan’ and ‘Dil Tera Aashiq’. The two came together once again on the sets of ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 5’ and the audience would swear by the fact that they still look great together.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif came up on the sets of Jhalak to promote their ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ which released this Independence Day. While Katrina was her usual quiet self, Salman and Madhuri had great fun together. Salman even used a catapult and aimed at Madhuri’s derriere just the way he did in Didi Tera Deewana, and the duo danced together to Pehla Pehla Pyaar from the blockbuster HAHK.
After sometime, Katrina Kaif also joined the two stars. Salman joined his ex- girlfriend while she showed her moves on her superhit item number ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’.
This Independence Day, NDTV aired a special episode on soldiers of Indian Army at Jammu. Deepika Padukone was the celebrity guest who, inspite of being unwell, went all the way to Jammu and interacted with the Jawans there.
She played basketball and badminton with the soldiers. In the sweltering heat Deepika jumped a 6 foot wall, rode a menacing T72 tank, and checked her aim with a rifle. She did all this with great enthusiasm giving us an ample display of her athletic spirit. The soldiers who were overwhelmed to have the pretty actress amongst themselves danced and sang for her.
The show took an emotional turn when one of the Jawans expressed his sadness for not being able to do much for his family, owing to the nature of his job. At this point, the host of the show asked Deepika if she also felt the same pain as Bollywood actors also get very little time for their family. Deepika was unable to answer this question and simply held the mike and sobbed uncontrollably.

Delhi Couture Week has come to an end leaving memories of enchanting glamour, style and fashion. Ace designer Manish Malhotra’s show came to a dazzling close with Katrina Kaif walking the ramp for him in an ivory lehenga with a red-pink border, choli and dupatta. She was joined by actor Vidyut Jamwal from Force who wore a heavily embroidered long sherwani.
Praising Katrina’s poise and beauty, Manish said, “Katrina is someone who is very charming and beautiful. She looks great in Indian clothes. Also, she likes old world charm and that’s what she represented though my collection.”
Madhuri Dixit walked the ramp for veteran designer Anju Modi on Friday (August 10). She looked charming as ever in a beautiful lehenga-choli worn with a red dupatta, big bindi and sindoor.
This is for the second time in two months that Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are heading for London. Last time it was for the memorial lunch for the late Nawab Pataudi which they attended together with mom Sharmila Tagore and sisters Soha and Saba. This time it is for the celebration of Saif’s birthday which falls on August 16.
As their wedding preparations seem to be picking up speed and mom Sharmila making it official that the wedding will take place this year, the couple takes their much needed break to spend time with each other. This will help them unwind and gear up for the release of Bebo’s much awaited Heroine and before she begins work on her new projects. Saif will also start filming Go Goa Gone.
The two were spotted at the airport while they were heading for London. Dressed casually, Kareena looked pretty even without makeup in a white top decorated with a glittering red heart, grey slacks and boots. Saif was in T shirt and track bottoms.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif may have broken up their long time romantic relationship, but the bonding between the two is stronger and has roots which go beyond an alleged affair. While the two were extremely comfortable with each other shooting for their soon to be released ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, Katrina also takes enough pain to spend time with Khan and his family.

Shilpa Shetty, who recently delivered a baby boy, is ready to hit back her professional life with vigour and passion. She is not only working hard to get back into shape but is also taking keen interest in hubby Raj Kundra’s debut on TV with SFL Challengers. This also happens to be Shilpa’s debut production venture and the actress felt that she needed to celebrate as India’s first action reality show unfolded on TV.
The show is a reality television series that follows a group of MMA fighters as they compete with one another in an elimination style competition, where their lives and relationships with each other and their families are depicted.
Shilpa threw a bash at her place and called over her relatives, well-wishers and close friends from the industry to watch the first episode air on TV. Like a perfect host, Shilpa made it sure that all the arrangements were in place for the guests.
The second and third episode of SFL Challengers will be aired this Saturday and Sunday on Neo Prime at 9 pm and Zoom at 10 pm.
The character of Indu played by Katrina Kaif in ‘Rajneeti’ gave an uplift to her career. The role was very strong and non-glamorous which put an end to criticisms which said that Kats could only be used as a glam doll in her films.
Now, as Prakash Jha gears up for the sequel of the film, Katrina has been finalised for it. “Raajneeti”, a political thriller, also featured Ajay Devgn, Nana Patekar, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee and Naseeruddin Shah in pivotal roles. Since, most of the characters were killed in the originals film, not many actors from the original film will be repeated in the sequel. Even Ranbir Kapoor has refused to be a part of the sequel.
Katrina has expressed her excitement on being a part of the sequel saying, “There are very few scripts that are genuinely entertaining. ‘Raajneeti’ is a script which has been worked on for years. I did hear the idea, I think it’s a genius and brilliant idea. I really hope everything falls in place. The only thing is most of the characters have been killed in the first part.”
“It is genuinely a good idea. I find it exciting and I really like the character. Right now, he (Jha) is working on another film called ‘Satyagraha’ with Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan), but I would love to work with him again. With Prakash we had many discussions on the scripts. He has told me the basic story of the film, but not the entire script, so we have time for that,” she added.
New stills of Aishwarya Rai’s shoot for a South jewellery brand are out and Ash looks mesmerizingly beautiful in them. The still have her posing as a bride, attired in a heavily embroidered pink and orange lehenga with an off-white dupatta. The former Miss World has reportedly charged Rs. 10 crore per year for a two year deal. Interestingly, before Ash, Sushmita Sen was the face for the brand.
The mother of eight month old baby girl Aaradhya looks dazzling in stone-studded, pearl and gold jewellery. She is wearing a maang tikka, two giant necklaces, embellished bangles and rings. The ad is divided into two parts- obe is Ash’s close-up and the other is Aishwarya sitting in a palanquin, shyly looking down.
Aishwarya had been under harsh criticism for her weight issues post pregnancy but she never cared much for that.
“I’ve always said that haters are a drop in the ocean. There’s that much more love. Any kind of negativity in any case just doesn’t stick, it drops off and it doesn’t matter. People have given me so much love throughout my career, my life in the public eye, at every phase,” the actress had said.
“This is who I am. I am a mother. This can happen and it has happened with me and it’s fine (weight gain). I’ve never been the one who endorse size zero anyway. You guys speculated I was pregnant way before I actually was. It goes to show that I have lived real life in the public eye. That continues,” she added
Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012 saw many Bollywood celebrities on and off the ramp. Those from Bollywood fraternity who scorched the ramp included Abhay Deol’s live-in girlfriend Preeti Desai, Prateik Baar’s girlfriend and ‘Ek Deewana Tha’ star Amy Jackson, 57 year old gorgeous Kirron Kher, Richa Chadda of ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ fame and Isha Sharvani.
Preeti Desai, who was the showstopper for Anita Dongre, looked mesmerizing in a gorgeous white lehenga choli with silver embellishments, and minimal hairstyling and makeup.
Amy Jackson walked the ramp for designer Pernia Qureshi wearing a black sari with a wine-coloured border, teamed with an exquisite collared blouse.
Kirron Kher walked the ramp wearing an ivory brocade sari with traditional rudraksh print, teamed with a pink Kanjeevaram blouse. Isha Sharvani walked the ramp for designer Sonaakshi Raaj and Mini Mathur, in a rich magenta gold zardozi lehenga, choli and dupatta, made a graceful entry to end the show.
It was Vogue Beauty Awards 2012 at Hotel Taj Lands End in Mumbai and many Bollywood beauties put their best foot forward to add to the glamour of the event. Among the shutterbugs’ delight were Deepika Padukone, Kajol with sister Tanisha, Nargis Fakhri, Sonali Bendre, Diana Penty and many more. Deepika Padukone stole the limelight looking breathtakingly beautiful in a gold shimmering Dolce & Gabbana gown.
At the event, Nargis Fakhri was asked what makes her so beautiful and the actress replied in all good humor, “Well, my makeup artist!” She added: “I think having a strict regime is really important, as well as eating healthy and drinking a lot of water!” Nargis also revealed that she washes her face quite often since it’s really humid in Mumbai!
