After her daredevil stunts in her last release ‘Tezz’, Sameera Reddy turns into a sizzling item girl for Prakash Jha’s political thriller ‘Chakravyuh’. The song titled ‘Kunda Khol’ has been composed by Sandesh Shandilya, sung by singer Sunidhi Chauhan, and the lyrics are by Ashish Sahu.
The song has been shot extensively in Bhopal at Rizwanbagh area of Koh-e-fiza of the old city. “The song is shot in the midst of a naxalite camp. And considering the realism in his films, Prakashji said the makeup has to be dusky to ensure the look of a local girl. I was surprised that he wanted the dusky look, because most of the time, we are expected to be on the fairer side. It’s voluptuousness and dusky skin that make us, Indian women, sexy. It’s a welcome change that this trend of wholesome women has come back and the audience seem to be loving it,” says Sameera.
“Unlike other songs, which have extras dressed up as locals, here they were actually locals. The atmosphere was so realistic that it helped me push myself. Nothing had prepared me for that amount of energy, it really tested my stamina,” she adds.
Prakash Jha is all praises for Sameera and feels that she was just the right choice for the song. “Sameera has that look and she’s such a good dancer. When I told Ganesh about her, he agreed immediately. And she’s done it fabulously. I’m very happy with the song, it’s fantastic,” he says.

The first trailer of Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer YRF’s next ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ has been released and the trailer for sure displays a sizzling chemistry between the two. This is for the first time that King Khan and Katrina Kaif have been paired together and as far as the trailer shows, they rock as a Jodi.
The trailer has no dialogues. Instead, a soul touching poem plays in the background that has been recited by SRK himself. The trailer depicts the epitome of romance with passion, love, cosiness and warmth oozing in every glance and every move.
The film’s promo also shows Shahrukh Khan romancing Anushka Sharma as well. However, this stands nowhere close to the sizzling chemistry that SRK shares with Katrina Kaif.
This film marks the comeback of Yash Chopra in direction. His last film was ‘Veer Zaara’ which happened eight years back. Filmmaker Karan Johar says that it might be his last film.
“Yashji (Yash Chopra) is like my father. His birthday this year is very special because he is probably making his last film. All of our films are releasing this year but that film will be the most special experience of 2012,” said Karan adding, “This year is special not just for him but for the whole industry because Yashji`s last film is releasing this year.”
In the recent times, Katrina KAif has proved her dancing mettle in item songs like ‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ and ‘Chikni Chameli’. Even in her latest release, ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, she mesmerized her fans with her prefect belly moves in ‘Mashallah’.
Once again, Katrina is ready to set another benchmark for her item numbers as she will perform acro style dancing in her forthcoming action thriller ‘Dhoom 3’. In this particular item number, her co-star Aamir Khan, too, will join her. Katrina is getting trained in this style in Mumbai while Aamir will get trained in Chicago.
Acro style dancing is made famous by the Las Vegas based Cirque du Soleil, which includes movement from ballet, jazz, lyrical and modern dance styles making smooth transitions from dance to acrobatics.

Rani Mukherjee recently unveiled the first trailer of her comeback flick ‘Aiyya; and must say she looked pretty at the event. At the launch, Rani Mukherjee interacted with the media and revealed: “When Anurag came to me, I told him I can’t do the kind of movies he makes; I don’t want to work in dark films. I told Anurag I want to do a happy film.”
Talking about her character in the movie, Rani said: “My character Meenakshi Deshmukh is very filmy. She is huge fan of Sridevi, Juhi Chawla and Madhuri Dixit. She dreams about them and goes in fantasy world all the time”
The event saw Rani draped in a Maharashtrian saree and director Sachin Kundalkar revealed his motive behind the Marathi backdrop for the movie. “I like Bollywood films but I am saturated with the Punjabi culture. I feel every regional sensibility has to be represented and in that respect Mani Ratnam is my idol. He brought in the South sensibilities and since I am a Maharashtrian, I am bringing in mine,” says Kundalkar.
The movie which will be screened at BFI has Rani Mukherji playing a Marathi girl who lives with her eccentric family next to a smelly rubbish dump, lost in her dream-like Bollywood fantasy world. She gets a job at an art college where she meets a soul-mate, a buck-toothed Lady GaGa lookalike, and together they go man-hunting. Then enters her dream man to whom Rani is drawn because he smells good. Meanwhile, her parents search a groom for her and as her dream hunk mysteriously disappears, our heroine is torn as to which path to choose?

Asin, who hails from South, will be essaying the role of a typical Maharashtrian girl in her upcoming film ‘Khiladi 786’ with Akshay Kumar and Mithun Chakraborthy. This Akshay and Himesh Reshammiya’s production venture is an action comedy and Asin plays the role of Mithun’s sister. Mithun’s character is named Tatya Tukaram Tendulkar and Aisn plays the role of Maya Tendulkar.
In one of the elaborate wedding sequences in the film, Asin got dressed up in a navvari green kashta sari, mundavalya (bridal jewellery), chandrakor (crescent moon) bindi and nathni (nose ring studded with pearls and beads) and green glass bangles. This was quite in contrast with her earlier bridal lehengas which she wore for her earlier films like ‘Ready’ and ‘Housefull 2’.
Picking up the Marathi accent and the customs was quite a task for the actress who turned up to her Marathi co-stars and crew members for help.

Preity Zinta’s debut production venture ‘Ishkq In Paris’ is almost complete and the makers have even screened the flick for selected preview audiences. However, some portion of the climax is incomplete, but unfortunately shooting further is Paris is not possible.
Here Imtiaz Ali stepped in to solve Preity’s dilemma. He suggested that the film should be shot further in Prague. Imtiaz has shot his last film ‘Rockstar’ in Prague and knows the place very well. He helped the director Prem Raj find the exact location in Prague that would match with the unfinished shooting of the climax in Paris. As such, Tuesday night Zinta’s crew left for Prague to complete the shooting.
Director Prem Raj confirmed the report saying, “Yes, there is a portion of the climax that we couldn’t shoot in Paris because we couldn’t get the required permission. We tried hard, but in vain. So the film is complete except for one portion. We knew the topography in Prague was similar to France. And since Imtiaz Ali had shot Rockstar in Prague we got Imtiaz’s team to help us find exactly the location we needed. I think we can shoot in Prague now without anyone guess where Paris ends and Prague begins.”

With ‘Raaz 3’ coming from the Bhatt camp, the viewers do expect loads of hotness quotient in the film. The teasers show Bipasha Basu, the main protagonist of the film, oozing a lot of oomph and appeal.

The first teaser of Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal starrer ‘OMG Oh My God!’ is out and the trailers surely raise the anticipation level of the cine lovers. The movie has Akshay Kumar playing God and the fact itself assures of a promising and gripping storyline.
The movie revolves around the story of Kanjibhai Mehta (played by Paresh Rawal) who earns his living by selling the idols of gods and other religious items but claims to be a non-believer of God. He is cursed for his blasphemy by Govind Namdev, who plays a religious guru in the film. As a result, there is an earthquake and it is only Kanjibhai’s shop which is affected in the whole market.
Taking a unique turn, Kanjibhai Mehta sues god and in comes Akshay Kumar as Lord Krishna dressed in a well-tailored suit. The film is full of funny moments and witty dialogues, one of them being when Akshay funnily gives an explanation for the difference in the appearance of idols and his real-self. He says that this is because of the fact that he (god) has not uploaded his latest photos on Facebook!!
Arjun Rampal had shot his first love making scene with Katrina Kaif in ‘Rajneeti’ and he was all nervous before the shot. Now, the actor seems quite comfortable shooting intimate scenes because he apparently has a very hot scene with Kareena Kapoor in ‘Heroine’ and he recently shot a very intimate scene with Esha Gupta in their forthcoming ‘Chakravyuh’.
Talking about his experience of shooting a love making scene in ‘Rajneeti’ to his comfort level of shooting this particular scene for ‘Chakravyuh’, Rampal says, “When I shot my first intimate scene for Raajneeti, I was a little hesitant. I went, ‘Oh my god, yeh main kaise kar paunga, yeh main kyu kar raha huun ‘. But, then I realised it’s a part of my job! Now when I shoot for any intimate scene, I just take it in my stride.”
Even director Prakash Jha, who directed Arjun in ‘Rajneeti’ and is now directing him in ‘Charkravyuh’ feels that the Arjun is now pretty comfortable doing intimate bed scenes. He even helped Esha Gupta calm her nerves during the shoot of this particular intimate scene.
Soha Ali Khan may not be doing a lot of Bollywood cinema, but time and again the girl is seen in a substantial role. At present, Soha is doing a film based on child trafficking and she plays an NRI in the film.
Recently, Soha shot an extremely uncomfortable scene for the film which left her emotionally drained and physically hurt. In this particular scene Soha gets molested by a group of goons who pin her down to the floor, rip off her shirt and abuse her.
Soha had requested her director to shoot this scene within closed doors, without allowing any still photographer to be present in the room. The scene hit hard on her emotions and she broke down after the shot.
Producer Vibha Dutta Khosla reveals that Soha is a thorough professional and immediately agreed to shoot the scene as it was an integral part of the storyline. Assistant director Ramzan who was present during the shoot says, `While doing the scene, Soha was badly bruised and even had to take medical aid.`
The makers of ‘Kismat Love Paisa Dilli’ (KLPD) have launched the first look poster of their film which looks crazy enough with the lead stars Vivek Oberoi and Mallika Sherawat stuck in a vast tee which reads ‘Screwed’.
The two were seen sharing the same stint at the launch function when they appeared on stage sharing a common red tee.
“Love is the most important thing for me. I haven’t got married yet because I am still waiting for it (love),” Mallika spoke on the occasion.
Talking about the film’s story, Vivek said: “It’s a story of one night in Delhi. The protagonist, Lucky Duggal, is in search of kismat (luck), love and paisa (money). He gets all that in Delhi, then loses it and gets it back again.”
The film has been made under the direction of Sanjay Khanduri whose last release was Abhay Deol-Neha Dhupia starrer Ek Chaalis Ki Last Local that came out five years ago.
