Huma Qureshi is one sensuous beauty who is making her debut in Bollywood this season with Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. The girl is not new to camera as she has done numerous commercials with ace Bollywood stars. She has done an ad for Nerolac paints with Shah Rukh Khan and for Samsung mobile phone with Aamir Khan.
Huma feels herself very lucky to bag in her debut flick under the direction of ace director Anurag Kashyap. She also is walking the red carpet in the Cannes Film Festival this year where the film will be shown and she says that this is like a dream for her. “I am really very excited about the film and also Cannes”.
She hopes to wins the critics’ hearts with her performance in the film and to win the crowd’s attention with her attire at Cannes designed by Varun Bahl.
Huma has some other films in line too, some of them being ‘Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana’ and ‘Ek Thi Daayan’. Good going and way to go girl!!
Shilpa Shetty’s baby shower was a grand and glittering affair as a lot of Bollywood celebrities turned up to offer their best wishes to mom-to-be Shilpa Shetty. The guest list included Farah Khan with her triplets, Malaika Arora Khan with sister Amrita Arora Ladak, Anu Dewan, Arpita Khan, Namrata Dutt, Nisha Jamvwal, Kaykasshan Patel, Nandita Mahtani, Manyata Dutt, Neha Dhupia, Sameera Reddy, Krishika Lulla and Wardha Nadiadwala among many others.
Raj Kundra interacted with the media, after the baby shower, and said: “It was organized very sweetly by Shamita Shetty, Kiran Bawa and Rupali Shah. All the three friends came together, and have organized a really nice baby shower.”
Raj Kundra has gifted Shilpa Shetty a 24-Karat gold spoon. He said he really does not mind if the baby will be a boy or a girl! “Jo bhi pehli baar hoga, dusri baar uska opporsite chahiye bas,” said an elated Raj!
Later Shilpa Shetty thanked all her friends and well-wishers tweeting, “A big thankuuu 2 all my friends who came and made me feel soo special today. Opening baby gifts and looking forward to this new phase in my life.”
“Today was such a special day… my sis Shamita and friends Rupali and Kiran threw the most amazing baby shower for me. So much fun. Thank you guys,” she wrote.

Dibakar Banerjee is leaving no stones unturned in creating the right hype and right interest in his forthcoming ‘Shanghai’. If the look and feel of the lead stars Emraan Hashmi and Abhay Deol in the first look trailer was not enough and even before the controversy around the song ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ from the film could cool down, the makers of the film have revealed another highlight of their film. They have revealed their item girl who will sizzle in the item number ‘Imported Kamariya’.
Talking about Scarlett Mellish Wilson, the girl is from Britain and though she has already done quite a few commercials, this will be the first time she will appear on bigger screen.
Diakar Banerjee is all praises for the sensuous beauty and says, “Someone recommended Scarlett for our item song. I couldn’t believe how well she danced! Scarlett is by far one of the best in the Bollywood dance form I’ve seen. Usually when foreigners do Bollywood dancing, there’s a certain amount of stiffness in their movements. Not Scarlett. She takes to the rhythms as though she was born to the desi beat”.
What we already know is the fact that both Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif are undergoing strenuous training for their fight sequences in the forthcoming ‘Dhoom 3’ where Aamir Khan is playing super villain and Kats is on the good side.
What we have come to know lately is that petite Katrina will be matching some very breathtaking fight sequences with our perfectionist Aamir Khan. As such Yash Raj Films’ ‘Dhoom 3’ will be having serious fist-to-fist clashes with perfectionist Khan in the flick.
The sequences are very precious to the film and will be shot aesthetically with the able support of the latest in technology. In fact, Aamir wants this action sequence to be so well synchronised that he has expressed his willingness to train with Katrina to perfect each other’s moves. However, since he is busy these days with the promotion of his forthcoming TV show ‘Satyamev Jayate’, he will start the training schedule only after his show goes on air.
It would be a real visual treat to see the two actors matching their powers against each other!!
With passing years, Madhuri Dixit’s charms and dancing prowess seem to getting more and more polished and mesmerizing. As the diva gears up for the fifth season of ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’, she has shot a special promo for the show under the direction of ace choreographer Saroj Khan. Paying her tribute to yesteryear’s iconic Bollywood actresses, Madhuri dances to the tunes of some of the hit numbers of Meena Kumari, Mumtaz and Sridevi.
She looks as convincing as ever as she moves with grace to the popular thumri track ‘Thade Rahiyo’ from Pakeezah. Then she is seen in a figure-hugging, 70s-style, tight, peach-coloured churidaar salwar kameez as she dances to Mumtaz popular number ‘Motiyon Ki Ladee Hoon Main”. The one which really impressed us is her homage to Sridevi in a yellow saree in the evergreen song ‘Kaate Nahin Katatey’ from Mr. India.

Charmi Kaur is a well-known name in South with more than 40 movies to her credit. She first tasted envious success with the blockbuster flick ‘Mass’ with Nagarjuna. She also got the Nandi Award for the best actress of 2007 for her role in the thriller ‘Mantra’.
Charmi stepped into Bollywood with her short role in Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Bbuddah – Hoga Tera Baap’ which failed at the box office but set her career going in the tinsel town, the girl has now grabbed a role in the next peoject ‘Zila Ghaziabad’ opposite Vivek Oberoi. The movie reportedly has a hot intimate scene between Vivek and Charmi.
The girl admits that she was a bundle of nerves before shooting the said scene, but Vivek put her at ease. “Vivek knew this (nervousness) and he put me at ease. It was switch on, switch off for him. He is a thorough professional,” she said.
Zilla Ghaziabad is a long delayed film which has been under production for 6 years. The plot is loosely based on a gang war between two rival groups of Satbir Gurjar and Mahender Fauji (a series of real life incidents) which happened in Ghaziabad.
Rajat Kapoor is known for his mastery in clean and rib tickling comedies. Now, he is ready with yet another humorous project ‘Fatso’ dealing with the story of a thin man whose soul gets inside a fatso’s body and how he tries to woo a girlfriend who no longer recognizes him.
Purab Kohli plays Navin who dies in a car crash only to discover that due to some clerical error in heaven, he has been mistakenly put to death instead of fatso Sudeep played by Ranvir Shorey. How Navin is sent back to earth in Sideep’s body and how he tries to win over his girlfriend Nandini (Gul Panag) who does not recognize him is a roller-coaster laugh ride.
Directed by Rajat Kapoor, the film’s story is written by Kapoor and Saurabh Shukla. Produced by Pritish Nandy Communications, Fatso is slated to release on May 4.
Chitrangada Singh and Priya Tanna, Editor, Vogue India launched the latest issue of Vogue India at the Crossword store at Kemps Corner in Mumbai on Monday.

Raveena Tandon and Karisma Kapoor have long shared cold vibes with each other, thanks to their infamous catfight over Ajay Devgan back in early 90s. However, being moms now and more mature, the two actresses have made up with each other and are friends now.
Well, Karisma and Raveena’s daughters study in the same school and this fact has brought them together. Says Raveena, “Since our girls go to the same school, we end up bumping into each other and have bonded well. It’s easier to hang out and discuss our kids. I have known Lolo (Karisma) to be a go-getter. To see her as a fabulous mother and homemaker is a pleasant surprise.”
With Karisma Kapoor making a grand comeback with her forthcoming ‘Dangerous Ishq’, do we see friend Raveena too taking an inspiration from her. Only time would tell that!!
Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has been candid in expressing his desire of acting in a horror flick and the actor finally gets to play the role of a man with a split personality in the forthcoming horror flick ‘3G’ to be directed by Shantanu and Sheershak.
“This will be tough for me,” says Neil. “I’m afraid of death, so for me, this will be difficult to portray on screen. Getting into the two psyches of a split personality is not that easy.”
Neil has been paired with petite beauty Sonal Chauhan in the flick and the actor is all praises for his co-star.
“Let me be honest about it. I genuinely like her a lot,” says Neil about Sonal. “She is a lovely human being and a good girl. If, God willing, anything has to happen I would love it.”
After 3G, Neil has a lot of films with a dash of negative shades in store. He will be playing a gangster for director Bijoy Nambiar’s next film. “I am looking forward to it,” says Neil. “I have always done grey characters. They have a lot more edge.”
Again, he is also set to play a grey character in Abbas Mastaan’s next which is supposedly a remake of the 1993 Shah Rukh Khan hit, Baazigar.
Hot actress Chitrangada Singh made a fabulous display of her legs once again, only this time it was not on the silver screen but at an event meant for picking India’s fastest man and woman for Puma’s ‘Faas TEST’ challenge. Chitrangada has been the brand ambassador of Puma for long and at the event she judged the contestants, ran the race track and also distributed t-shirts to the street children.
“Running at the FAAS Test finale was a fun experience and the level of competition was fantastic. And I love the FAAS shoes. Very vibrant colours and so comfortable,” said Chitrangada Singh.
The contest was held at seven cities across India and the winners of the sports lifestyle brand’s contest will get the chance to met athlete Usain Bolt at the Prestigious Diamond Meet in Zurich.
The winner was Bharat Khanna from Dehradun, in the male category and Esha Shah from Bangalore took first place in the female category.
