Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza’s wedding reception was a star studded affair with whos who of Bollywood attending the party at Grand Hyatt. Though the guest list was an impressive one with the likes of Bipasha Basu, Rocky S. Sridevi with Boney Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Rekha, Mukesh and Nita Ambani, Aamir Khan and wife Kiran, Imran Khan with his girlfriend Avantika, Saif Ali Khan with girlfriend Kareena Kapoor and many others, the lady who stole the show was undoubtedly Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who made her first public appearance after delivering a baby girl in November. She was all glowing in motherhood radiance as in a blue anarkali suit.
The indoor ambience was completely decorated in red, with red roses everywhere and the tables, chairs and drinking glasses set in red. The bash went on till well past midnight after which the newly married couple left for Riteish’s family home.
So, finally the much awaited wedding of Bollywood takes places as Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza tie the knot in a traditional Marathi wedding at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Santa Cruz. He tweeted: “saw the Last sunset as a Bachelor.”
Apart from father Vilasrao Deshmukh, other politicians in the guest list included names like the state Congress chief Kripashankar Singh, Chief Minister Prithviraj Chauhan and Aditya Thackeray, son of Shiva Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray.
Ken Ghosh posted a picture of the couple on Twitter and wrote: “These two are one! @Riteishd and @geneliad God bless … oho Genelia doesn’t need to change her twitter handle.
Even Ritieish posted a photo on the social networking site Twitter saying ‘Mr and MRS Deshmukh’
The first and the most awaited Bollywood wedding has kick started with a gala Sangeet ceremony of made-for-each-other couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza which was held at Taj Land End and witnessed the whos who from our industry.
The guest list was a pretty impressive one including the likes of Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, Boney Kapoor and still so gorgeous Sridevi, SRK and Gauri, Malaika Arora Khan, Asin, Sameera Reddy, Shamita Shetty, Dia Mirza, Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kapoor and so on and so forth. While the male guests like Arbaaz Khan, Karan Johar and even Abhishek Bachchan opted for traditional kurta payjamas, the ladies were seen in heavy kurtis and lehengas.
However gorgeous our Bollywood babes looked, the lady who stole all the glances was undoubtedly bride-to-be Genelia D’Souza who looked pretty and elegant in an exquisite lehenga choli with delicate embroidery designed by the ace Bollywood’s fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
Well, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza have already made their intentions clear to get married in the coming year of 2012 and they have already started preparation for their marriage.
As, Riteish Deshmukh hails from a Marathi family, the two have decided to get married in the traditional Maharashtrian way and Genelia D’Souza will don on the avatar of a traditional Maharashtrian bride with Navvari (traditional Maharashtrian sari), sporting the traditional nath (nose ring) and the mundavlya (decorative strings of pearls, beads or flowers) tied on the forehead.
Coincidentally, Genelia was seen dressed as a Maharashtrian bride in her last release, Force, with actor John Abraham.
The couple is being loaded with best wishes and congratulations on the social networking sites on the internet. Ritesh’s good friend Lara Dutta tweeted, “@Riteishd RD, c’mon hurry up now your turn!!!! Bomsi (Boman Irani) and I have our outfits ready and pressed.”

However, Ratan explains her missing act saying that she was in Noida to spend sometime with Abhinav who stays there.

Rumors of Celina Jaitley getting married to her Peter Haag has long been doing rounds on the net. This January, Celina had announced her engagement to Peter and recently she confirmed that she got married to Dubai-based Austrian businessman Peter Haag on the 23rd of July 2011 and due to personal reasons, decided not to make her marriage public.

Ganesh Hegde, one of the top choreographers in Bollywood, got married to his six years long girlfriend, Sunayna Shetty, in a private ceremony in Mumbai, on June 5.
Talking about his life partner, Ganesh said, “I have known her for ten years and she is a great stylist and designer. She is the one behind all my shows and my dancer’s costumes. She was a performer earlier but she changed her profession. We started dating six years back and now we are getting married.”
A grand wedding reception was held in the evening @ the Grand Ball Room of Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. Stars like Priyanka Chopra, Shilpa and Shamita Shetty and many others attended the function. They may look a very unconventional pair, but the two seemed at a perfect bliss as they tied the nuptial knot in pure traditional South Indian style under a mango tree. The love affair which started three years ago during the shoot of ‘Dev D’ finally reached its destination.
The wedding took place in the small town Kalhatty on the outskirts of Ooty. Koechlin was dressed in a white and red saree embellished with zari work, while the Anurag wore a white lungi. Anurag tied a mangalsutra around Kalki’s neck while the two of them sat on chatais.”
The guest list was a modest number of 40 including Anurag’s daughter, director brother Abhinav (Dabanng), Koechlin’s brother and sister-in-law, as well as Anurag’s close friends, Vikramdtiya Motvane and wife Ishita, Rahul Bhat, Piyush Mishra and Shahnaab Alam.
The traditional vegetarian meal was prepared by Kalki’s mother at home and was served on banana leaves. At present, Kalki is working with Anurag in his forthcoming flick ‘Shaitan’.
It is official now…. Anurag Kashyap, who directed the beautiful Kalki Koechlin in ‘Dev D’, is all set to marry the actress in the coming days. The two have been close to each other since the ‘Dev D’ days. . Kalki has also met her in-laws in Benaras (Anurag’s hometown) during the shoot of Anurag’s forthcoming film, Gangs Of Wasseypur.
The couple will tie the knot on April 30 amidst family and close friends in Ooty where Kalki’s mother stays. The guest list comes to around 40 and includes quite a few well wishers from the tinsel town. The ceremony will be a simple one in South Indian style. Kalki will wear a Kanjivaram saree and Anurag – a dhoti.
The two had been in a live-in relationship for past two years and had exchanged engagement rings in January this year. Anurag had previously been married to editor Aarti Bajaj, with whom he has a daughter named Aaliya.
