That Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor had marriage in their minds was all too obvious with the way the two of them were completing their commitments and shying from taking up new ones. But, now there has been an official announcement from Saif’s mother Sharmila Tagore that the two will tie the knots in October this year.
Sharmila Tagore revealed that she would be visiting Bhopal to sort out the details of the wedding. She further added that the wedding will take place either in Pataudi or Mumbai, though it would be a quiet one due to the death of Nawab Pataudi last year. She has also warned Saif that he should postpone the idea of renovating the Pataudi house till the wedding takes place.
“I am giving a warning to Saif. I am confirming that the wedding will take place on October 16,” Sharmila Tagore is quoted as saying.
It has been further revealed that October 16 has been scheduled for the registered marriage but nikah will take place later. Gossip columns have it that Kareena Kapoor would be wearing Sharmila’s wedding attire but lot of changes are to be made to the Sharmila’s wedding royal dress and jewellery.
Esha Deol’s first pre-marriage function started with a star-studded sangeet ceremony held at Hotel Lalit Intercontinental in Mumbai. While Esha glowed in a Rocky S designed lehenga, fiance Bharat Takhtani looked equally charming in a blue velvet sherwani with gold zari work.
The guest list was impressive and a glowing mom Hema Malini personally welcomed all of them. Among those who attended the ceremony to wish the two a happy married life were cousin Abhay Deol with girlfriend Preeti Desai, Dharmedra and sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, Naseeruddin Shah with family, Reema and Raima Sen, Hema Malini`s niece Madhu with her two daughters, Ranveer Singh, Zayed Khan and wife Malaika Khan, Genelia D`Souza and Ritesh Deshmukh, Arya Babbar, Jackky Bhagnani, Alvira Khan and Sohail Khan.
The marriage will take place on June 29.
28 year old beautiful Sunidhi Chauhan tied knots with childhood mate and music composer Hitesh Sonik in a low profile ceremony. Sunidhi was earlier married to choreographer Bobby Khan but the marriage broke after an year.
“She was a little more than a child when she won the Meri Awaz Suno music contest on television. That is when we became friends. Gradually, over the years as she grew into a fine singer, our friendship blossomed into love,” elaborated Hitesh on their love life.
However, the couple threw a lavish reception party at Taj Lands End in Mumbai and the guest list included Asha bhonsle, Udit Narayan with wife Deepa Narayan, Farah Khan with Vishal Dadlani, Ranvir Shorey, Konkona Sen Sharma, Shaan, Kavita Krishnamurthy and Alka Yagnik.

The year 2012 turns out to be an year of marital alliances in Bollywood. After the much glam wedding ceremony of Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza, Bollywood gears up for yet another high profile wedding as actress Esha Deol gets engaged to her beau Bharat Takhtani. The event took place in a private and close gathering of friends and well-wishers at Hema Malini’s bungalow in Juhu, Mumbai.
Hema Malini told reporters: “We are very happy today for Esha and Bharat. It is a happy moment for all of us. Bharat is a very nice person. It is a private function.”
An elated Esha Deol said, “I am happy and I thank everyone for their blessings.”
The wedding date is yet to be decided and once the date is decided, Hema Malini has promised to make an official announcement for it.
After a grand wedding and a grander reception at Hyatt, when people were expecting Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh to be heading for a romantic honeymoon, the couple took a flight instead to head off to Vizag, Andhra Pradesh, to be a part of the Celebrity Cricket League tournament on Sunday.

The indoor ambience was completely decorated in red, with red roses everywhere and the tables, chairs and drinking glasses set in red. The bash went on till well past midnight after which the newly married couple left for Riteish’s family home.
So, finally the much awaited wedding of Bollywood takes places as Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza tie the knot in a traditional Marathi wedding at the Grand Hyatt hotel in Santa Cruz. He tweeted: “saw the Last sunset as a Bachelor.”
Apart from father Vilasrao Deshmukh, other politicians in the guest list included names like the state Congress chief Kripashankar Singh, Chief Minister Prithviraj Chauhan and Aditya Thackeray, son of Shiva Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray.

The first and the most awaited Bollywood wedding has kick started with a gala Sangeet ceremony of made-for-each-other couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza which was held at Taj Land End and witnessed the whos who from our industry.

As, Riteish Deshmukh hails from a Marathi family, the two have decided to get married in the traditional Maharashtrian way and Genelia D’Souza will don on the avatar of a traditional Maharashtrian bride with Navvari (traditional Maharashtrian sari), sporting the traditional nath (nose ring) and the mundavlya (decorative strings of pearls, beads or flowers) tied on the forehead.
Coincidentally, Genelia was seen dressed as a Maharashtrian bride in her last release, Force, with actor John Abraham.

Rumors of Celina Jaitley getting married to her Peter Haag has long been doing rounds on the net. This January, Celina had announced her engagement to Peter and recently she confirmed that she got married to Dubai-based Austrian businessman Peter Haag on the 23rd of July 2011 and due to personal reasons, decided not to make her marriage public.
