Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray is in a critical condition and megastar Amitabh Bachchan and his family went to meet the ailing leader at his house Matoshree this Wednesday night. However, both Amitabh and Abhishek faced injuries as they struggled through the maddening crowd to make their way into the house.

“Balasaheb Thackeray: a fighter all his life, fights his life! Prayers needed now! Yes both Abhishek and me were injured with cuts, but are fine and back home… the doctors at Matoshree attended on us,” Amitabh tweeted.

Amitabh recalled the time when he was recovering in hospital after his near fatal accident on the sets of 1983 film “Coolie”, and Thackeray had come to see him.

“When I was flown in to Mumbai from Bangalore in semi-conscious state after ‘Coolie’ accident, it was his ambulance that took me to Breach Candy Hospital,” Amitabh said.

“When I fought for my life after ‘Coolie’ accident, he came to visit me in hospital, with a cartoon he had drawn – Yamraj defeated! Yamraj – God of Death, defeated by me… wish I was as proficient a cartoonist as he, I would wish to draw that for him,” added Big B.

The 70-year-old says Thackeray has always treated him like family.

“When Jaya and I married, he (Bal Thackeray) called us to his house… and the rituals that were conducted was of the ‘bahu’ coming home! From that day on he always treated us as family,” he said.

“When the Bofors Scandal accusations on us were at its peak, he called me home and asked ‘tell me the truth, are you involved?’ When I said ‘No!’, he said ‘Then do not worry about anything. I am with you. You are an actor, go do what you are best at’,” he added.

The entire Bollywood clan turned up at ‘Jalsa’ on Nov. 13, 2012, as Aishwarya, Abhishek along with Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan threw a grand party to celebrate Aaradhya’s first Diwali.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan wrote in his blog: “I am now in a drunken stupor, unable to keep my senses and my eyes open … I am having to write and respond to those that shower love … I almost dropped over my laptop just now, as my slumber induced brain went dead for a while … this is not good at all …But attending to ShahRukh and Akshay and Deepika and Priety and a host of friends and guests for the celebration of divali, at times saps one of every inch of what the system demands ..nothing that seemed to be incoherent and rude, but just the whole timing of the matter ..”

The raw, funny, fearless and go-getter Chulbul Pandey returns with the release of the first poster of ‘Dabangg 2’. The poster shows Salman Khan in the same look of Chulbul Pandey with his signature glasses firing a gun. The first teaser of the film will be released by director and Salman’s brother Arbaaz Khan on November 9, Friday, on Bigg Boss 6. On the following day, November 10, Saturday, the full-length trailer would be released on the show.

The sequel takes the trail from the original film with Sonakshi Sinha as Chulbul’s wife. The negative shades will ne donned by Prakash Raj thus replacing Sonu Sood from the original. The icing to the cake are the item numbers by Kareena Kapoor and Malaika Arora.

Whether the film meets the expectations of the fans is a matter of wait and watch as the film is slated for a December 21 release, just a few days before Salman’s birthday.

Over 360 Princess fans had a day of fun-filled activities including dressing, dancing, etiquette training, tiara making and even the chance to meet their favorite Disney Princesses – Cinderella, Snow White and Rapunzel.

For those who have come in late, ADF has complained to the CCI against YRF alleging malpractice in connection with the release of the former’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ), with the latter’s Son Of Sardaar (SOS) on Diwali, Nov 13. It was alleged that YRF was using its dominant position to ask exhibitors to dedicate more screens to JTHJ instead of SOS. Ajay Devgn Films has now approached the Competition Appellate Tribunal.

Abbas Mastan are back with what they are best in- action thrillers. The duo have released the first poster of the sequel to their superhit ‘Race’. The first look of the Race 2 logo was released via Deepika Padukone’s Twitter and creative producer, Jay Shewakramani. The theatrical trailer of Race 2 will be released on November 13, 2012, the day of Diwali, alongside the prints of Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardaar as confirmed by creative producer, Jay Shewakramani. The first official poster of Race 2 will be released on November 07, 2012 , six days before the release of the trailer.

The first poster shows Saif Ali Khan with an adorned case which seems to be holding some valuable stuff. The backdrop has been set in an Arabic town, presumably somewhere in Morocco, Tunisia or even Turkey. The tagline says “Betrayal Is Survival”.

Sunny Leone’s Bollywood debut ‘Jism 2’ may have turned out to be a disaster at the box office, but the pornstar-turned-actress is here to stay for sure. Not only is she doing the sequel to ‘Ragini MMS’, but Leone has also reportedly signed a three-film deal with Alumbra Entertainment (known for their recent release ‘Bhoot Returns’) for a whopping Rs 5 crore. The company is also producing “Ab Tak Chhappan 2“, “Warning” and another film based on the 26/11 attacks.

The production company, which is headed by Parag Sanghavi, will start the shoot of their first film in the second quarter of 2013 and the remaining will be shot later.

“Sunny will do her third, fourth and fifth film after ‘Jism 2′ and ‘Ragini MMS 2′ with us. We will share details at the opportune moment,” said a spokesperson for Alumbra Entertainment.

Talking about Anushka Sharma’s character in the film, director Vishal Bhardwaj says that all his female characters are always very strong. “I see women as stronger than men in real life as well,” he says.

The strength of the character still awaits to be proven, but going by the first trailer the strong bolts Anushka sends with her bold and sensuous avatar is to create ripples, for sure!!

Putting an end to all the speculations, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor finally tied the knots at Saif’s Bandra home on 16th October in the presence of a marriage registrar and close relatives. For her D-day Kareena, 32, wore a green punjabi suit, while 42-year-old Saif chose to dress up in a grey kurta-pyjama. From the bride’s side, Kareena’s mother Babita and father Randhir Kapoor signed as witnesses while Sharmila Tagore signed as a witness from the groom’s side. Also present was Kareena Kapoor’s sister Karisma Kapoor with her son.

Marriage registrar Surekha Ramesh is quoted as saying: “It was a registered marriage with three witnesses: Kareena’s father Randhir Kapoor, her mother Babita and Saif’s mother Sharmila Tagore.”
